  1. anyone know what Terry Bradshaw scored on that test? I suspect he wasn't the sharpest knife in the drawer, but he played a pretty mean game of football.
  2. Pete Metzlaars, Ernie Warlick, Seymour, Costa, Remiersma? I'll go with Ernie Warlick, who was on a line that led Sports Illustrated to conclude that Jack Kemp was the most protected quarterback in the history of football, and in the championship game against San Diego based on a beat up offensive line, Warlick starred as a receiver in a two tight end offense.
  3. verbally threatening a police officer at 3:45 am is not the best way to end an evening of revelry.
  4. And I would be a world class point gaurd if I were seven inches taller, faster, had a good jump shot and could pass.
  5. Or Tennessee? Jamal Lewis Shaun Ellis Travis Henry Shaun Bryson Eric Westmoreland John Henderson Donte Stallworth Al Haynesworth Fred Weary Will Overstreet Jason Witten Kelley Washington Dustin Colquitt Travis Stephens Eddie Moore Julian Battle
  6. The way they played this year, I think they'd be better off if we gave them Glocks!
  7. Not a good idea Tank. football player versus cop is an away game on their field and the refs are definitely biased. The correct answer is always "yessir, nosir, three bags full."
  8. its still pretty much gotta be Ngata. He would fill the biggest hole in our defense and would make an immediate impact. I would love for us to get a good tight end but I think round one has to address the DT or OT or G positions. There are a lot of very good tight ends in this draft and I think we may find one in later rounds. Despite our complaining we are not all that far away from becoming a better than average football team. All we have to do is improve our offensive and defensive lines to be in the thick of things.
  9. As a teen Chuck Norris impregnated every nun in a convent tucked away in the hills of Tuscany. Nine months later the nuns gave birth to the 1972 Miami Dolphins, the only undefeated and untied team in professional football history. Hmmmm...."seed of Chucky"
  10. We've been looking at an OSCAR month at the TBS. Saw "To Kill a Mockingbird" and "Bridge on the River Kwai" (GREAT FLICK) and last night fell in love with The Sting all over again. They don't make them like the old classics.
  11. Actually...Robert Duvall, who plays Arthur Boo Radley is still alive if I'm not mistaken.
  12. Whatever it takes...I like that guy.
  13. Everyone has their trials and tribulations. Face it...WM is not a great back. We can argue about TH getting into the top ten, but I don't think he is a GREAT back either. I think OJ is the only GREAT back we have ever had. Thurman and Cookie are probably the only other two approaching greatness.
  14. Saw "Crash" on DVD this week. Quite a flick. Disturbing.
  15. I agree with you that Willis has a lot of excuses for not being an exceptional running back. However excuses are a lot like you-know-what's in that everybody has one. Excuses aren't going to get him into the top ten. Performance might.
  16. Tight End Davis is very tempting, but I gotta go with Ngata. After the defensive tackle/offensive line problem, TE is probably our biggest need...but the DT Offensive line situation is one that HAS to be top priority.
  17. Ah...second year...that's the one where they work you to death... Year one..scare you to death Year two...work you to death Year three...bore you to death.
  18. It might be personal issues, but the only coaching decision I was following intensely was my beloved Bills. I gotta admit I don't see why not even one serious thought was given to any of a number of black coaches with a lot more going for them than Dick Jauron. Shell is certainly one of the ones that came to mind. Maybe I'm wrong and Jauron is better. The proof is in the pudding . Let's see what Jauron does with the Bills versus what Shell does with the Raiders. I'm pulling for the Bills, but I'd rather go into battle with Shell than with Jauron.
  19. Bill, I think Shell is a very good coach with a very good record. Jauron might conceivably be a very good coach who can't win football games. Jauron got hired by the Bills, Shell didn't even get interviewed. I suspect race was a factor. Sure wasn't the won-loss record.
  20. Tell you what. I'll put a Tennessee Vol NFL team against your U of Miami team and whoop your floridian butt!
  21. Actually Bill...Tennessee won a national championship based on TH's running. Great runners fumble. The Bills had a better win loss record with Henry than they are having with Willis. I don't put Travis in the same class as OJ, Thurman, Cookie or Carlton...but I sure put him way ahead of anything I've seen from WM yet.
  22. So far...no question. In fact I don't think Willis has even established himself as a "good" running back yet. He might be...but he'd better start showing it soon.
  23. I like Leonard Pope out of Georgia, and I think he'll be around in the second. Bigger and will fit our needs better.
