  1. hell, they hung an elephant down the road a piece. Hanging ol Marv would be no problem. mary the elephant
  2. OH...I think there is only one way to stop the run. Tackle the friggin runner! The question is where are you going to do it. The line of scrimmage would be nice. Ten yards down the field by your linebackers and safeties. I come from the school of thought that defensive tackles might be a nice way to stop the run.
  3. sounds like the Bills have a recipe for disaster. Last year they couldn't stop the run because they wey weren't very good. This year we won't be able to stop the run because we planned it this way. Marv...take a deep breath....then pick Ngata.
  4. Nah...in New Guinea they fry them. The Mongoloids are trying to keep their weight down..hence the broiling. Hell..in some parts of Mongolia they poach them!
  5. I can't get excited about prime time until we start playing prime time.
  6. And don't worry...the Mongolians love missionaries...Broiled!!!
  7. If Marv didn't think Losman would be the starter at the contract he is commanding, I think Marv would have let him go or tried to trade for a late (very late) draft choice. Marv kept Losman...Marv's paying a starter's salary to Losman...Losman is starting.
  8. I can see it now. Wonder what our time of possession is going to look like with everyone running up the middle while we're whistling through those gaps. Those skinny defensive linemen should bone up on their neck exercises for swivelling their necks as the running backs zoom by them.
  9. 2d is a stretch-3rd is a possibility with this year's strong draft-4th would be a no-go for me...I'd pay the Moulds his negotiated salary and keep him.
  10. The guy is a great blocker? I like that. I also like his interest as a receiver. Hopefully he'll fill a big hole in our offense.
  11. Flew over 125 combat missions in Vietnam in one of them ..military name was C-47. Used as gunships, transports, intelligence, and pretty dam near everything else you could think of. Last one made was in the mid 1940's and you'll still find airlines flying them in some parts of the world. Some consider it the best airplane ever made.
  12. What on earth makes people think he won't play for the Bills. We pay him his salary...he shows up and he plays. After the season he is going to want big bucks from someone, and causing trouble will only make him less attractive (he is NOT a TO quality receiver who gets away with that crap.) Further he hasn't done or said anything that would lead me to believe he wouldn't play if we forced his hand. People work in jobs they don't like all the time. Its all about the Benjamins.
  13. Why release him? We have the money to pay him, and we have a need for a quality receiver. I say pay him and let him stay. I wouldn't be all that happy with a fourth rounder for him in any event.
  14. Actually he is in a pretty good situation with Satellite radio wars going on there is a great need for folks in broadcasting. I wish him luck!
  15. I saw the movie this weekend and was surprised that I liked it. Kind of a Phantom of the Opera on steroids. Kept a neat comic book feel to it, and well acted. The guy who plays V manages to really do a lot without being able to use facial features. the Matrix crew does themselves proud with some of the special effects. I guess the best complement is that I hate long movies, but was surprised after it was over to find out it ran 132 minutes. What did others who saw the flick think?
  16. I agree. There were some quality offensive offensive linemen available in free agency and I don't think we made anywhere near the serious run at some of them that we should have A Hutcheson or Neal would have been terrific anchor. Further this isn't the best draft for offensive lineman (although some will disagree) and while I do suspect we will get at least one starter from the draft we still have to play next season. I'm puzzled, but I figure Marv has a plan in mind. He may be looking at picking up some high quality younger free agents after the hullabaloo dies down, and there may be some method to that "madness". I've learned not to understimate Marv over time.
  17. I think its watching all those funerals at the VA Rocky Mount Cemetary across the street.
  18. Ditto. I think you play the season in front of you. With free agency, retirements and injuries you cannot even think about "good" even three years from now. We had two very bad coaches in the last few years and still managed to be close to .500. Fix the obvious problem (defensive and offensive line) and we'll be fine.
  19. at 8 we can get the best defensive tackle in the draft. That's what we should go for-Ngata. I like Mahelona of Tennessee as a third round defensive tackel. I am not at all clear as to why we didn't strengthen the offensive line in free agency so I suspect we need to draft for the OL as well. Finally there are some outstanding tight ends who will be available in the late second and early third rounds. Leonard Pope and Fasano may be our reach picks. I'm still strong on Jason Allen as a possible safety pick along the way. The trade scenario sounds terrific, by the way.
  20. Dallas did not have a losing record last year. TO is a great receiver and Bledsoe can get the ball to him. Bledsoe still has Witten and Glen and pretty much the same winning team he had last year and a better running back than most. Parcells is a good coach and wins even when he doesn't have the best talent. (our first SuperBowl comes to mind.) No....I don't see them losing.
  21. Frankly, you're letting this kid live rent free in your head and control your emotions. The problem isn't him, its how you react to him. He's an !@#$. Next time he confronts or does anything call him on it. Tell your brother your feelings about it, and cut him out of your life. If you're going to punch every bully you run across in your life, your existence will be short, unrewarding and brutal.
  22. I have to go with Haloti Ngata. Run stuffing fat guy who can move and put pressure on the passer as well. Oh wait a minute...this is the 2005 best player? Terrence McGhee!
  23. two words stuck..John Murtha...and remember, before I was banned from PPP and before we ever got into the godforsaken war a certain democrat said: We shouldn't go into Iraq There ween't any weapons of mass destruction The war would cost over $100 Billion (BOY was I wrong...nevertheless a bundle of the neo-fascists on PPP called for my ouster for coming up with such a big figure.) and sadly the prediction that the day we walked out of Iraq there would be a civil war. I was wrong...looks like they are starting the civil war with us there. Look in the archives my friend.
  24. "bush administration" who said anything about the Bush administration? I thought it was all the media's fault!!
