  1. Mularkey went 9-7 with a team that should have been a playoff team and then tanked with a team that wasn't much worse. He was an AWFUL coach. Saban took the friggin DOLPHINS and turned them around. The only bad decision he may have made so far is hiring freaking Mularkey.
  2. yeah...pick a quarterback. Dumbest move in bills history.
  3. Yeah. Farve leaving Green Bay to come to the one team with a worse offensive line, having just lost an all pro receiver and new coach (who has a losing record in the division BF is leaving) so that he can get a superbowl ring with us? GET REAL!!
  4. Well, I think he is moving pretty deliberately. I'm concerned about not having moved aggressively in free agency, but I suspect ML has his own agenda of finding quality players at reasonable cost and having cap dollars for draft picks and late acquisitions. Tough job.
  5. Assumning Clements goes I think this is a very good draft. Losing clements would have a major effect on our drafting and free agency priorities.
  6. No one on this thread, from the most optimistic to themose pessimistic is in disagreement that our number one need on the lines is defensive tackle. The biggest weakness (and I mean that we don't even have a BAD tackle to throw in with Triplett.) on the entire team is defensive tackle. We have the opportunity to draft the best defensive tackle in the entire draft (I think Ngata, some think Bunkley) at 8. Go for it. We also have a chance to shore up the other areas where we have a critical need, offensive tackle and gaurd. We can go a long way toward solving the line problem with this draft. We can address other weaknesses next year or in the remaining available free agents.
  7. yeah..think how much better we will be with Young getting knocked on his ass instead of JP or Holcomb or Nalls getting knocked on their ass. Given our lack of a defensive line I can see the advantage of Young being able to stand on the sidelines most of the season and be coached while the opposition is running or scoring against us. I like this idea of quietly building a team by drafting the best player available over the next five or six years. Maybe we could, like, cancel next season so that we can go into real rebuilding after another year. We would automatically get next year's first pick that way and would be cooking with gas. Why worry about a defensive line when we have Coy Wire back there knocking those running backs out after a measly ten or fifteen yard game play after play? I'm sold..let's go for Young. And of course a second string punter in the second round.
  8. Tupperware containers? we might have just solved that Urgent Work Problem in the other post.
  9. I was having barbecue at Fat Earl's barbecue and a cute toothless little waitress mentioned to me that she was Soprano's part time girlfriend and had been with him in a car wash (doing what you shouldn't ask.) when RW came driving in. While Ralph was waiting for his car, she distinctly heard him say (Using only one of her ears...Soprano's tongue was in the other.) "F--- them...I'll take the !@#$ team and move it to Los Angeles. Where's the phone..I'll call a press conference." WE ARE DOOOMMMMED!!!!!!
  10. outside your boss's door. Cheap bastard could get you better facilities. Let me know if I can help you in your job hunt.

  12. Any judge who would charge him with the WMD charge would be a real pr--k. Oh..well...guess that would be poetic justice.
  13. I thin Saban is going to be a great coach, but his first major mistake (appointing Mularkey) will bite him in the ass this year. MM will snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. We will be 1-1.
  14. Guess the guy isn't a real hard case. I'd go with the lesser sentence because the charges won't stand up.
  15. Jesse Mahalona of Tennessee at 72 might be a better DT pick in that he is a very good pass rusher. He came from a JUCO and was quite impressive. I like Justice and he will be a good NFL offensive lineman, but I would be reluctant to wait until the third round before we address the Defensive Tackle need. Ngata or possibly Bunkley would be the way to go at 8.
  16. Lots of ifs this year. Quarterback, Offensive Line, Spikes, and needs at safety. Defensive line is the biggest if. My hunch is that the offense will pull it off with either JP or the new guy stepping up, the new receiving corps will play well and the offensive line will be somewhat improved. The biggest question marks are the defensive line,Spikes recovery, and possibly safety. If we make some acquisitions from free agency and the draft we can be relatively competitive. It should be an interesting season.
  17. WE ARE DOOMED...0 and 16 for sure. Oh my God...well..they can always make a disaster film out of this. OHHHHHHH.....woe is us...woe is us....
  18. Or its a real big draft. We can draft a starting all pro defensive tackle in the sixth or seventh round. Let's piss away the first couple on another quarterback or a safety!
  19. WE ARE DOOMED.....DOOOMED .....DOOOMMMMMED!
  20. Tybee is great because of the ocean and plenty of places to party there. You might run into Sandra Bullock, who has a place there and hangs out. Great seafood places and you might take any number of side trips. The rugby group is terrific. I used to hang out with a lot of NYC cops and firefighters and my girlfriend made the front page of the Savannah paper as a partier a few years ago. I'd definitely do a week there. Plenty of golf and terrific sightseeing.
  21. There are old pilots and there are bold pilots. Son..there ain't no old, bold pilots.
