  1. I can see how you might compare him with God, perhaps...but TEDDY BRUSCHI!!!???? God wishes he could be in the same league with TEDDY!
  2. Boy...something happened in that game, for sure. Maybe its the payoff for all the hard work leading up to it. I'm sure the O-line shakeup was major. And Losman really came into his own. Not sure HOW it happened, but I'm sure enjoying the fact that it did. Whether or not we get to the playoffs, this is a good football team and I'm looking forward to next year.
  3. it ain't the troops that are the problem...its your buddy in the flightsuit and his pal rummy.
  4. Something about our nose-picking, Halliburton loving, flightsuit wearing leader lying and sending other people's kids off to an unwarranted, incompetently fought, and atrociously administered adventure and truth that seems oddly out of place.
  5. I can't believe we would let Clements go with the way he is playing this year.
  6. JP's coming along fine. I share the interest in him occasionally running the ball. I predict a naked bootleg coming somewhere along the line. The touchdown pas to Royal had me thinking he was going to run. Wonder if that was an option?
  7. When they announced he was on the field I got a big kick out of it. I've become so used to posts asking how he was doing. Hopefully he'll work himself into more playing time next year.
  8. It will be Peyton or possibly Mangini. Jauron will just quietly build us a superbowl contender ( or winner!) and then go into the hall of fame. Let the others have the coach of the year.
  9. Highest need...still offensive line...with defensive tackle coming a close second. Then we could always use tight ends and linebackers, although I'm starting to wonder whether those needs are all that glaring. I think we have the corps of a pretty darn good team. I'd love to see us make a real statement against three good teams the remainder of the season. Playoffs or not, I'd love to see us take it to the fish, the titans and the ravens.
  10. Dophins, Titans, Ravens...We've got an opportunity to make a real declaration over the next three games. I'm pulling for us to kick some ass.
  11. I think I'll just wait until the season is over before I speculate on whether Losman is the answer or not. I've got to admit he does seem kind of on again off again, but he also seems to be getting better as the season progresses. Still too early to tell.
  12. sorry to hear that. Remember when God shuts the door sometimes he opens a window...or sometimes he just shuts the f=ing door! Only kidding. Hope he opens a window for you. Or sometimes he just sets you up with your best friends cousin...or sometimes he ...
  13. Right...we have those "smart bombs" that just worked so perfectly in the gulf war and this war in Iraq. Hell..we might as well bring the troops home and let the smart bombs sort out the terrorists from the insurgents from the militias from the allegedly innocent from the actually innocent.
  14. hmmm..they are both running backs. Henry runs better. When WM gets to the pro-bowl and gets 5000 yards...give me a call.
  15. I agree. Henry is better than WM, but he isn't all-pro by any means. The thing that bothers me is our using a first round choice to get someone who isn't even as good. As far as Henry wanting to leave Buffalo, that was because he wasn't playing...simple as that. We can do better than WM. Henry or A-train.
  16. The draft goes more than one day. And no way you can get around how many have played this year. McCargo is injured, and will play next year. We waited a year (many will argue we're still waiting) for WM to perform to expectations, we can give McCargo a little time. I wanted Ngata and Mangold, but I'm more than willing to give ML and DJ a lot of credit for a first rate draft. I'm just hoping they're thinking "LARGE and IN CHARGE" for this draft.
  17. I think William Manchester wrote a book about Iwo Jima. If I'm not mistaken, I think he was a veteran of that battle as well.
  18. I couldn't see us spending prime time running back money to keep WM. He hasn't been a prime time running back...pure and simple. I'd spend big money on people like Clements, but if you want the money you'd best show you deserve it on the field. POtenshul only takes you so far.
  19. Ihhh....the memories. You have the best place for Prime Rib right there...
  20. I knew two guys in my life who were at Iwo Jima. One, a teacher of mine at UB had been an interpreter, and the other was my boss for a few years. Two great guys. Now those Marines deserved the capital letter.
