I was under the impressiong that the Nashville Predators drew pretty good crowds.

You are right that he is a real catch. I think we won't be able to get him until we meet our other needs in the first three rounds, but if he is still there at four (I suspect he won't be) we might not be able to pass him up.

I watched the Senior Bowl preps on the NFL station for a bit yesterday and the coaches and commentators were RAVING over the center Ryan Kalil of USC as the player of the day. I know he has been rated as the best center in this draft but the way they were all talking about him he sure sounds like an outstanding catch for someone.

I was wary of the DJ appointment, but after seeing him I think he is just what the franchise needed. Always loved Marv. I like the direction the team has taken and their faith in Losman, and for that matter their overall draft. Let's see what lies ahead!

Teddy just let them win. A true sign of his greatness is his ability to care more about others than himself. Would that we could all reach his level of charity and compassion, let alone his ability as the greatest athlete of all time in any sport.

How Samuel L. Jackson got passed up for best actor in "Snakes on a Plane" is beyond me. That will go down as the major snub in film history.

Brees and McNabb seem kind of obvious choices. What about Philip Rivers? If we were going by this year I think Jeff Garcia might be in the running at least as much as Eli Manning.

it is a marriott suites now. I generally stay at the Sheraton on the Beach across the street, but this is a fine place and the Suite element gives more room. The bar downstairs (outside) and neat little restaurants in the Plaza adjacent (and the Colombia) are very convenient. sand key marriott

Oh you cynics...Maybe he was testing airport security? Maybe someone from another NFL team set him up?

I suspect if we match offers elsewhere Clements will stay. He is the leader of the defense and knows who he is playing with. He can go to the Redskins or Arizona but if the money is the same why would he take the risk of ending up like Moulds or Price or for that matter Winfield playing in a new system that can make life miserable. I'm not a Pollyanna and know its mostly about the Benjamins...but if we put up the Benjamins he could do a lot worse than stay here.

Try the Sheraton Sand Key...on the beach, with a bar, across from a magnificent restaurant. There is a former Radisson across the street with a great pool and with an all-suite set up. The Colombia restaurant next door to each is wonderful. Take the ferry or better yet, rent kayaks, and go to Caladesi Island (rated pretty consistently as one of the top beaches in the world.) Frenchy's is a neat little tourist trap but fun. Take the ferry from Honeymoon island in Dunedin. Honeymoon Island has a nice beach as well. Go up to Tarpon Springs and eat at some of the great Greek restaurants on the wharf there. Ybor city in Tampa is a kick as well. The Salvador Dali museum is neat. email erynthered and have a drink with a dyed in the wool neo conservative. Charter a boat and do a little fishing. Have a great time!

Truer words were never spoken. This is so important this year because I think this year we could really be a force in the NFL IF we strengthen the trenches.

I saw a guy do something similar in Turkey many years ago. He ended up with all of his teeth knocked out by a rifle and both of his hands broken. That guy was lucky to be in America, and lucky to get away with a whooping like he did. Was the cop wrong? Sure ...but believe me it is not all that unlikely that you would get a different result if you did it in most major cities. Don't f. with police officers. Anywhere.

Give me East Tenn. Golfing all year round, but still get the seasons. Can drive 1/2 hour to Wolf Laurel or Beech Mountain to ski in NC. Blue Ridge Mountains on one side, Smokies on the other. Great lakes (TVA) for fishing and boating. No state income tax, great medical care, no traffic (be careful about NC, Boone and Blowing Rock have HORRIBLE traffic from all the halfbacks moving in). Bristol motor speedway down the road. Cost of living and housing reasonable. Can be in Myrtle Beach, Savannah or Charleston in six hours if I wanna go to the beach, and can be in Nashville or Atlanta in five if I go the other way. Knoxville 90 minutes away. All in all a great place.

I think it might not be a bad idea to wait and see how he plays in the senior bowl. Kid is only 19 years old and may have some filling out to do.

I kind of like both teams, but as an old AFL fan and remembering how that **** Lombardi crapped all over Kansas City after Super Bowl 1...I'll go with the AFC. Kick ass Peyton. Its easier to root afl if either New England nor Miami are in it.
