  1. Guess your momma raised you different. I'd be horrified if they promised him they wouldn't and then tagged him.
  2. If I could have a nickel for every time I've heard THAT one! Actually I think she's hot AND a cute young thing.
  3. Boy, Elway was in a TON of superbowls, as was Staubach. I gotta put Griese in the running too, after I looked him up, although he sure had a powerful run game going for him in his day.
  4. I liked him all year and especially in the Senior Bowl...but I don't see him lasting into the third round.
  5. I'd have been happy with a Travis Henry one-o and a better use of a first round draft choice.
  6. I think the partying thing is vastly over-rated. Look at Max McGee in Superbowl 1. He and Paul Horning came stumbling in just after dawn and he played not only the game of his life but caught the first td pass ever in a superbowl and was the star (if not the MVP) of the game. I remember running a race in Boston in my younger days after coming in at dawn still woozy and setting my own all time personal record. Kelly always partied hard and I suspect his partying or the partying of others didn't have all that much to do with the quality of their play.
  7. Jim Plunkett should probably be there as well. He had two terrific superbowls.
  8. Very good article in USA today about it. Some vets commented on how much they learned and progressed because of the (very expensive) medical care Barbaro received. However they all felt that the horse had reached a point where it would never stand and was in severe discomfort. Sounds like a pretty humane decision. Don't eat at Burger King for a couple of days.
  9. yeah..but the faint odor of sheep that we detected on you kind of explains the by the lamb is hung up on the fence in your back yard!
  10. Aikman and sims for sure. I thought Griese was great but did he play the full game in the 72 Bowl? I remember he had all that injury time and Earl Morral was in.
  11. Actually I think it was an admirable act of generosity to pass the baton. "No greater love...and all that." But then...I'm old.
  12. I'm supposed to refute this? Did the democratic party invent slavery? If it made any sense I'd be happy to refute it, but it is too nonsensical.
  13. refute what cincy? Your posts sometimes are not worth responding to. Be happy to respond if you have a query.
  14. Off the top of my head and for what its worth: 1. Terry Bradshaw 2. Tom Brady (Blech!!!!) 3. Joe Montana 4. John Elway 5. Joe Namath 6, Roger Staubach 7. Doug Williams anyone else jump to mind? Obvious misses? Disagree with the pics?
  15. I don't think they will fade. I spend every waking moment HOPING they will fade. The sooner the better.
  16. Tell your nephew to join the Air Force. The navy is fine until they find out he's heterosexual...and God knows what the marines are up to these days.
  17. Jim Kelly is probably my favorite all time bill....but I can't argue with that assessment.
  18. a few hundred years of slavery, Jim Crow laws, Lynching, voting restrictions, segregation from jobs, housing and public facilities might have had a little to do with it.
  19. 51 more goals and we'd have had a Thai game!!!!
  20. That's awful!!! unfortunately I suspect you are absolutely right. Got enough in the bank...now put the poor thing out of its misery. Cold world out there isn't it?
  21. Update on the Kazahk Thai hockey game. The Thai goalie felt so dejected about the outcome he stepped in front of a bus. Fortunately it went between his legs!
  22. The last paragraph would seem to indicate he has found things to do.
