I like them both. Trent is the starter, and from what I've read he has become something of a workout maven and now has some idea of what winter games in Western New york is like, so I would expect him to be better this year. Losman is pretty darn close to his equal and has something to prove ...if he ever gets back on the field. I think Losman is certainly better than anything we would get for him in trade right now. We're okay in this position, and maybe a little better than okay if the qb's have continued to progress.
War is war. Atrocities always happen on both sides. The winner gets to disavow them. Those who have actually been in a war tend to be careful about getting into the next one. This kind of thing happens when the Supreme Court selects a certain nose-picking flightsuit wearing dickwad into office. Mission Accomplished. I was leaning toward McCain until he went to Iraq in his flak vest with helicopters and troops all around him and toured a market and said it was perfectly safe. I guess he loved the Bushie Kool Aid. Anyway..shouldn't this be on the PPP board?
Considering our other needs and the plan of getting to the playoffs, drafting McGahee was a puzzlement. He was not much if any improvement over Henry. In the final analysis it was one of Donohoe's worst blunders.
Hackman had some very good early movies, as Popeye Doyle in French connection and in The Conversation. Actually he was good in some bad movies as well (The Poseidon Adventure comes to mind). I think he is one of the best character actors. The equivalent for today? Probably Phillip Seymour Hoffman.
Forget the strippers. You should have a good time with the poker, a little beverage, sing-alongs and good conversation. You can do without strippers and rely on the circle jerk and the thing with the goat.
Actually I work with a VA center affiliated with our university with a major PTSD program. We don't do enough.
The past president didn't do enough. This president has done a lot less.
I'll buy the steelers. Especially if you are looking at an organization over a prolonged period of time. One could...could mind you....make a case for the Yankees if you are looking over the huge longer period. short term....dare I say it?....one might begin to make a case for the Patriots? I say this with the caveat that I HATE the patriots and hated them since they were the Boston Patriots.
Actually the VA is managed as part of the executive branch of the government. Let's see who has been running that baby for the last eight years...hmmm....oh wait a minute...the guy in the flight suit under the mission accomplished sign with his digit up his nose! and he's a Republican, last time I looked. Maybe his clone McCain will have some idea how to deal with this.
I don't know how you get that this has been going on since vietnam. I'm just saying getting a freaking purple heart in lieu of treatment is what's going on now.
Actually the Iraqi vets are not getting adequate mental health treatment either for PTSD or Traumatic Brain Injury. Take the money for your friggin medals and get them the screening and treatment they need.
We used to have a Christmas song in Vietnam..
"Jingle Bells, Mortar shells, Charlie's in the Grass...
Take your f-ing christmas cookis, stick em up your ass!"
Actually I kind of feel the same way about the purple hearts.
sh--, kids come and go, but Australian beer? That stuff spills and you are morose forever. The kid gets hurt, he'll heal and the injury builds character. He dies, hell kids are like those potato chips...you can always make more.
