  1. You forget that Losman that Losman was instrumental in EVERY loss we have had. He was also on the sidelines in the Arizona game resulting in the Edwards injury. He was on the sidelines in the New England game resulting in our loss in the last game of the seaon. That's three games that were Losman's fault. Wait a minute..the jets game...four!!! We would have won the division and probably the superbowl except for Losman. I'm not sure that Losman wasn't to blame for a lot of the losses the year before he was drafted as well, as Donohoe and others were concentrating on getting him instead of playing football. Come to think of it I had the flu last week...probably Losman's fault.
  2. Everything is Losman's fault. Everything is always Losman's fault.
  3. Round 4 pick to Buffalo or Pittsburgh.
  4. Bang the chick? I thought you were supposed to think OUTSIDE the box!!!
  5. What he said. MacArthur Park by Richard Harris is another. What the f is the "cake out in the rain?"
  6. fuk'm. There is a reason they are at the bus stop on a stormy night. Don't screw with kharma.
  7. There are times to quibble and times to go for it. You probably don't have much leverage, so take the job as offered and raise the issue of salary again in a year. You might want to write a nice acceptance letter talking about how much you are impressed with the company and the people you met, how excited about the opportunity you will have to use your skills and help the company in these difficult economic times, and point out that while the salary is not what you had hoped, you understand the present economic situation and hope you can discuss salary and compensation again after a year or so. Congrats.
  8. And the Buffalo Bills came one game from being the AFC reps in that first Superbowl. Chances are KRC has a URL to the report of that KC Buffalo game.
  9. I'm surprised. Thought he was a sure NFL Draft guy. His receivers and many of his o-lineman are graduating. He's a blue chipper right now, and I suspect he will not be able to improve much by staying another year.
  10. Our weaknesses are pass rush and the middle of the offensive line. I think we ought to do our best to keep Peters and move throught the draft and free agency with whatever we have to shore up those areas. I think we dance with the girls that ended the season with us for the most part. That means Edwards at qb, Peters at LT, Lynch and Jackson, and the receiving corps with the possible addition of a Tight End. We are a mediocre team trying to get very good and we have to shore up the trenches...offensive and defensive line if we are going to do that. If it looks like we aren't going to be able to get or live with Peters then I guess your idea is an excellent one as we would have major issues at LT.
  11. Maybe Rachel Ray will have him on to show how to prepare an "eyetalian" meal? Cap it off with "eyes cream?"
  12. Sorry for your loss. What a young age to have such a thing! Your point about not warning signs is well taken. I am much much older and I have so many friends who did ignore signes and ended up with serious complications that might have been avoided had they gotten timely attention. Of course that doesn't include those who actually died. Your friend is in my prayers.
  13. okay...cheating on and leaving the husband sounds like the basis for a divorce....I don't see how his giving her a kidney enters into it.
  14. A "joke" team is a team that wins three games or less. Sometimes a team that loses three games might have reason not to be considered a joke. I don't think any team this year thought their game against Buffalo was a "gimme" A disappointment? Yes. A joke? Nope...not with 7 wins.
  15. Well if it was a "gift" as he alleges what does he maintain is his right to get it back?
  16. At this stage its probably the only foreign country stable enough that he can visit.
  17. what about being in south buffalo? Is that the best or worst of both worlds?
  18. There is no legal reason not to swear Burris in. Frankly the criminal case sounds quite weak from what I've read.
  19. I would also recommend the novel "City of Light" which is "electrifying". Neat novel with Buffalo, the Falls, Electric Power Development, Grover Cleveland and all sorts of neat local flavor. http://www.amazon.com/City-Light-Lauren-Belfer/dp/038533401X
  20. I really think our problems would not be solved to make us a playoff team with just substituting Gonzalez for our TE group. I think resources are better spent shoring up the offensive line (center and gaurd) and defensive pass rush. We aren't far from being a playoff team and those are the weakest areas. Once we get that done we can look to a TE as icing on the cake.
  21. I'm sorry to hear it. Believe me I tried getting into my AF flight suit last night and found it had shrunk considerably since 1970, especially around the gut and ass. Now if I can just get an exception for an old fat half-blind guy I'm in!
  22. With the federal govt putting so much money into jobs with the new economic plan it may be that they will be doing some WPA funding of major projects in economically depressed areas. This sounds like an ideal one. Assuming a new stadium has to be built, Niagara sounds like a good choice. May make UB's entry into the Big East more feasible as well.
  23. You may be right. I don't see him getting in, and suspect Carter will be the choice. He won some impossible games for us (Houston definitely was primarily Andre Reed and Frank Reich)...but he cost us some big ones. Hope I'm wrong as I always like to see bills get inducted. Far better than Bills getting indicted! (OJ and KO?)
  24. Neat question. The fact that there are so many legit contenders bodes well. I think I have to go with Evans. Another player no one has mentioned is Moorman, but perhaps because of his position.
