  1. To be honest, your avatar kind of stirs me up. Seems to get a rise out of Bobby Jindal as well.
  2. That is really profound...someone should make a tv show around that.
  3. You know if the Bills walked him to a locker with an 81 number, gave him a shirt with an 81 number and sell to jerseys with an 81 number it would be extremely likely there was at least a phone call and a discussion with James Hardy. James Hardy is probably much more worried about where he stands with the Bills than he is with number 81. Instead of walking into a starter's job he's got to perform just to have a spot on the roster. I'm pulling for Hardy to be recovered fully and play whatever role he can for us...but he can wear any number.

  5. Is my life full of days..or are my days full of life?
  6. nah..its that David and Goliath kind of thing. I had my heart in my throat for the Belmont Duke game last year. Look at Davidson from the Southern going so far with Stephen Curry last year as well. Its those automatic bids that make it interesting, and keep the big guys on their toes in the early going. Artis Gilmore by the way was announcing at the A-Sun conference. Nice guy...and he seems to have aged well. We somehow get less intimidating as we get old. I hear Bob Lanier is kind of the same for Bona. A real gent and a big supporter of his alma mater. Nice going for a kid from Bennet High. I actually remember him as a good high school pitcher who needed a lot of work as a basketball player. Obviously Bona did right by him as he is one of the all time greats. In those years we had Calvin Murphy at Niagara, Anderson and Morrison at Canisisius, and even Randy Smith (later of braves fame) at Buff. State. we really were a hotbed for hoops. Not to be politically incorrect, but a former buffalo mayor, Tony Masiello, played some great games against little three opponents.
  7. And for those of you old enough to remember A-Sun's Jacksonville is the team that put the hurts on Bonaventure in 1970 with Artis Gilmore.
  8. last year Belmont lost to Duke 71 70....it is scrapping for a major upset. Last time ETSU was there Cincinnatti won with a last second three. We've beaten Arizona and Florida in the tournament as well. I think someone better watch out. We got a two thousand point scorer in gaurd Courtney Pigrim and Kevin Tiggs, who played on the national champ JUCO team has scored over a thousand points in two years. The Bucs play a vicious full court press...so keep your eyes open!
  9. I just LOVE to hear our line coach was there for the Oklahoma pro day. I'm hoping he is the most influential voice on draft day. Get your butt over to whoever is doing the free agent signings as well. Can't get enough good offensive linemen.
  10. I hate the gators as much as I hate the dolphins. We think of Steve Spurrier (THE FORMER COACH) a graduate of Science Hill High who spurned UT and played at and coached at Florida as something akin to Benedict Arnold. On a happier note..ETSU men and ETSU women won their conferences and are going to the dance! See you all at at least one of the tournament games. Last times we were there we lost to Cincinnatti by a basket and the time before gave Wake Forest a scare. Last year's team fromthe A-Sun lost by 1 point to Duke in the opening game.
  11. lets face it...at the end of time there will be a short list of the most terrible things that happened on earth. a. the crucifixion b. WWI c. WWII d. The Bills Titans game. e. the Black Plague Except for the crucifixion, not necessarily in that order.
  12. This is so not good. Dockery gone...Peters gone...really..let's just clean house. Offensive lines aren't important when you have two great receivers and an all pro running back. WHAT THE HELL ARE WE THINKING. Our BIGGEST BIGGEST problem is our offensive pass rush, we just upgraded our receiving corps and we are not only not doing anything about improving our biggest problem...we are talking about getting rid of an all pro at the critical skill position.
  13. I could give a rat's ass if he's truthful..or chaste...or clean...We hired him to catch freaking footballs, not date our sisters.
  14. Good luck and good hunting! Your positive mental attitude is so important and remember we are all pulling for you!
  15. Gotta improve the pass blocking and the pass rush. We do that we will certainly make the playoffs. That being said I'm not sure its going to be ll that easy to improve the pass blocking and the pass rush.
  16. Well he got the "happy ending", just not the traditional massage "happy ending."
  17. If we don't fix the offensive line? He'll be running real fast, turn and ...look at Trent Edwards lying on his ass. Hell..I could be a Buffalo Bills wide receiver for what that's worth.
  18. Kelsay is right in that we go nowhere unless we shore up the trenches on both sides of the ball. That being said and assuming we take care of our pass blocking and pass rushing in what's left of free agency and the draft...we could be cooking with gas next year. My granmother used to say that...I'm not sure what it means but it seems apropos.
  19. ok, I'll bite. Quick google search http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/20...16_warming.html First and foremost fifty years is different from five or ten years. Second the P-38's were on one part of the glacier, and its possible that factors in that part had to do with ice accumulation. Not that I care or anything.
  20. Actually it is a good post. The thought briefly crossed my mind as JP could throw that ball a mile and a half and both TO and Lee Evans would use every bit of skill and speed they have to get under it. Alas JP has not grown nor shown the pocket presence to develop that asset. I don't know what is in store for the guy but IF (big if) he hangs on as a backup there is an outside chance he might possibly (barely a chance) get a fourth or fifth chance to establish himself.
  21. Why don't we move it to the "who gives a !@#$" board?
  22. oh shyt...I have two of the best receivers and a running back who can catch. Poor me! Actually I think he is going to worry about what he and the front office should be desperately worrying about...TO and Lee Evans looking back and seeing TE on his ass because there was no pass blocking. Hell..you might as well have Walter Waldarczyk running pass routes if TE doesn't have time to throw the ball.
  23. yah...The bigger they come the harder they fall!
