people do what they gotta do. I admire someone who works no matter what. I remember in grade school a nun saying that if we didn't study we might end up as a garbage man. Three of the kids in the class had dads who actually were garbagemen and proud of it and coached our little league teams and put food on the table and later put their kids through college. More power to them.

When the patient presents with arterial bleeding...treat the arterial bleeding. TE is like looking for poison ivy when the blood (Offensive line) is spurting into your face. We aren't in the position NE or the Steelers are in.

Given the state of our existing offensive line and the poor play of last season I could easily see 2 or three of the first four picks going to guards. I would allow one of those picks for a defensive lineman. We have two weaknesses that doom our chances for success...pass rush and pass protection.

The book was by Gary Willis. I'm not a huge buff so I'll defer to the experts. Great speech though. I suspect we'll always measure speeches by this one.

Our biggest problem is pass protection. Our downfall was TE getting a concussion and getting rushed through the remainder of the season. NOTHING else is even close. A far second is pass rush. We do not put enough pressure on the qb. This should be addressed before addressing anything else. I see a Defensive lineman in round 1 and an offensive guard or possibly a center at 2 and a gaurd at 3. I think the rest of free agency should be addressed to clear up these two problem areas. NOTHING ELSE MATTERS>

I think there was a book written fairly recently about the Gettysburg address. I had heard he pretty much wrote it on the train on the way to giving it, but don't know if that is true. It sure is hard to believe someone could come up with such a great speech in a first draft.
