O Line Jonas Jennings, Derrick Dockery Mike Schenck (long snapper)Langston Walker Jason Peters (Mike Gandy in reserve at gaurd) TE Robert Royal, Melvin Fowler , duke preston. Receivers Sam Aiken New England and Eric Moulds Houston Running BacksWilliis McGahee and Sammy Morris Quarterback: Kelly Holcomb and JP Losman Defense Line: Pat Williams, Sam Adams, ?? No defensive ends? Linebackers: London Fletcher, Takeo Spikes, Angelo Crowell, Coy Wire DB's Winfield, Clements, Leonhard, Lawyer Milloy, Pierson Prioleau and jabari greer I wasn't able to find defensive ends, but we would probably be close to having a better team with our own rejects than we have now. Oh...no punter or kickers since we've had a couple of good ones for a long long time. I may have missed some of the others cut who are still playing and starting for much better teams. When we talk about poor coaching, poor drafting and poor whatever we shouldn't forget the ones we let get away.

Edwards, Flutie, Fitzpatrick, Bledsoe
tennesseeboy replied to Marshmallow's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Wow..I always thought of winning in the NFL as that thing where the gun goes off and you have more points on the scoreboar than the other team. Flutie wins that race. This fellow has done an analysis of every nfl qb since 1950, and I assume h did not include CFL games in the sum...http://www.pro-football-reference.com/blog/?p=1808 Flutie ranks considerably higher than Bledsoe. Actually note that the highest ranking of former Bills qb's is Daryle LaMonica over Jim kelly. On his behalf the Mad Bomber did win a superbowl with the raiders. -
The bills had no sacks yesterday, there were no interceptions, Special teams didn't screw up any punts or kickoffs. I think we must be improving....keep it up Buffalo!!!

Edwards, Flutie, Fitzpatrick, Bledsoe
tennesseeboy replied to Marshmallow's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
in their prime? Bledsoe the better quarterback, but Flutie in his prime is definitely the qb for this team. Bledsoe was never mobile enough to survive an "offensive line" like we have. -
I agree. We passed on Ngata and Oher...Let's go the right way on this one. This is the guy who will be a franchise qb.

What's Our FO's Dumbest Move of the 2000's
tennesseeboy replied to BB Fan 4 LIFE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
OH...MY....GOD....THE SCARY THING ABOUT THIS THREAD IS THAT EVERY SINGLE THING LISTED IS CORRECT AND PLAYED A MAJOR PART IN TURNING A PLAYOFF CONTENDER INTO A JOKE!!! tHERE IS NO DUMBEST MOVE BECAUSE EVERY SINGLE THING LISTED IS PRETTY MUCH OFF THE DUMB SCALE. Let's delete this thread...it is the most depressing thing I've seen since the pigs ate my brother. Come to think of it the pigs eating my brother was considerably more entertaining than the last few Bills seasons. -
The Curse of Doug Flutie!

look...rhere are winners and losers. Flutie was a winner at every level and Johnson was a loser. He has a superbowl ring yes...and he earned it doing what he does best. Sitting on his ass on the bench or with the headsets on picking his nose and dreaming about the surf. -

The Williams pick was just stupid. Bryant McKinney was the best tackle available, head and shoulders as a draft choice above Williams. He is Brett Favre's left tackle right now and has the mainstay of the offensive line since his rookie year. I'll not mention Steve Hutchinson the gaurd we could have made a pitch for who is also a mainstay on that line. Imagine not only the Ngata/Pat defensive line but the offensive line of Peters, Wood, Baumgartner, Hutcheson and McKinney. Or even Oher, Wood, Baumgartner, Hutcheson and McKinney. Edwards or Fitz would be pro bowl candidates. -

The Curse of Doug Flutie!
tennesseeboy replied to Estelle Getty's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
ahh..selective memory...what about eric moulds dropping flutie's bomb the first play of the game? And if I recall that fumble correctly it was a hit by Jason Taylor that produced it. Flutie definitely would have won the game against Tennessee. Which qb had a history of winning big games under pressure? -
shouldve kept greer over mcgee imo
tennesseeboy replied to ishouldbegm's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
i'm a huge fan of greer (UT player) but he is not anywhere near as good as McGee. Greer was ready to start and wanted and deserved starter money. We might not have drafted McKelvin and kept him at corner, maybe and used the McKelvin pick to take...oh...maybe offensive tackle Ryan Clady who was drafted just after him. Having a first rate starting tackle on deck while you are being leveraged by Jason Peters might have sent a message, and if Jason did get signed having a Peters/Clady tackle combination might have been pretty darn effective. -

Allof the above...and failing to draft Oher this year over Maybin. Failing to sign Steve Hutchinson when he was a free agent and available. He was playing with the Vikings (along with McKinney) last I looked. I'd have to say firing Wade Phillips as well. The shame of it is that this list could go on...and on ...and on. -

never forget to ask the customer whether or not he or she wants fries with that. Always give the customer a chance to supersize his or her meal. Always pretend you washed your hands when you leave the restroom Never sneeze into the food when the customer can see you. When the tip is less than 15% try not to let your "What the f.ck" response be heard by anyone not within reasonable earshot (15 or 16 feet.) -
The Pirate of the West Texas Plains goes off on team
tennesseeboy replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Would Leach work at the NFL level? Not if he pulled an Ol' Ball Coach and tried to install the same offense at the pro level. If he were stupid enough to try that then his success would equal Spurier's. Could he adapt? Maybe...no way of knowing. beerball.. But why would we think Leach would do the same thing at the NFL level that he did in Lubbock? The fact is Leach took a very difficult situation in Lubbock with all the odds against him and made it work with one of the most innovative offenses ever devised in the college game. Why would anyone think he would take that offense and force it onto an NFL team? I think it is more likely he would analyze the situation at the Nfl organization he is in, utilize the talent and design an effective offense. Would it work? I don't know..but I'm less than impressed with the Bills offensive game plan at the moment and would rather have him calling the shots than a failed NFL coach (Pete Carrol.) -
Ted Ginn to Buffalo?

Ngata...now that would have been the move. Or we might have drafted Oher over Maybin. Kind of says a lot about our drafting of players. -

Pete Carrol is a great college coach. He was, however a joke at the pro level. The other USC coach at the pro level..john McKay...was one of the lousiest coaches at the NFL in history. I think we have to recognize the difference. I for one think Leach is a possible NFL coach. The Pete Carrol babying of top recruits and "everything is sunny" does work for a team like USC, and he is an excellent coach for the college level. Leach on the other hand? Texas Tech 66, Kansas State 14. Kansas State 62, Texas A&M 14. Texas A&M 52, Texas Tech 30. What? "We talked about not listening to our fat, little girlfriends. We said we're not going to compare [Kansas State] scores," Tech football coach Mike Leach fumed to the Austin American-Statesman after his team — a 21 ½-point favorite — somehow got throttled by A&M on Saturday. "Well, ha, ha, ha. Hee, hee, hee. "I'd like to have a dollar for every time somebody said how many points we're going to score. It's all a bunch of crap. We got what we deserved ... If it was easy, I'd be coaching the Swedish bikini team." Now THAT sounds more like Vince Lombardi or Bill Parcels. I for one would like to see leach in the NFL at least as an offensive co-ordinator. We'd be doing a lot more passing and he would find ways to compensate for a weak offensive line. Given a choice between Carrol for offensive co-ordinator of the Bills and Leach...I think Leach would be the better choice. -
Ted Ginn to Buffalo?
tennesseeboy replied to Glass To The Arson's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
GREAT IDEA...next year when our qbs are knocked on their ass by the unstoppable pass rush of any of 31 NFL teams they can get up and look at Owens, Evans and Ginn coming back to the huddle. That's the key...get a lot more of the guys we have no need for to fill roster spots somewhere between starter and taxi squad and leave our offensive line to fend for itself. Actually...do you work for the present Bills administration? -

Be careful however to distinguish amongst the thinlet the dreaded cracklet. A much less experienced but far more upsetting wrangle is the transgendered peckerlet. In either case show them the door and wrangle yourself to bedlet. -
What's with all the negative vibes?
tennesseeboy replied to mikeyarch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
hey, kid...my dad took me to the parade to welcome the bills into town and I watched many a Jack Kemp/Darryl Lamonica and Elbert Dubenion and Cookie Gilchrist games. I've been positive when the bills looked positive or at least on the right track. Right now they suck. A little less than they did the last few weeks but they still haven't beaten anyone good nor have they shown an offense that can win in the NFL. Going into the bye week 4 and 4 and my spirits will rise. My spirits don't soar unless we make the playoffs. Norwood's miss in SB 25 seared a hole into my heart. I hoped he would make it. Actually is not a "gimme" field goal by any means. -
oh..the draft... First pick is going to probably be fairly high and defensive tackles dominate, and I don't see any tackles in the top ten so if we are in the top ten I would go for ndamukong suh dt nebraska We don't have a lot of depth, Stroud is no spring chicken and he's definitely a legitimate top 5 pick. The alabama guy, Mount Cody is getting lots of notice so this guy may be seen as the #2 buy by the time they pick. If our season turns around and we are picking after 18 or so, I think we try to address the tackle issue with: Bryan Bulaga*/T/Iowa: The Hawkeyes left tackle has the size and footwork necessary to be a first-round pick and blindside protector in the NFL SEcond with case Keenum qb out of Houston or Gabe Carimi, left tackle from Wisconsin If we have Gaither at left tackle and Bulaga at right I think we will have addressed the starting line issue. Keenum is a stud and may not last to the second round...if not Jimmy Clausen might be available at that spot.
