  1. well..he'd certainly be the "best" pick of the draft!
  2. Of course they won't. We will be winning the division and going to the championship game on our way to the superbowl with the tackle we got from the Raiders, the injured guy who flunked two physicals we got from the Ravens and this new running back we got from Tennessee's practice squad. That is a sucker bet...
  3. I can't believe we are going to get a second for Lynch. I think Lynch can be a very good back, and that he could contribute greatly this season. I'm not sure the existing coaching staff is going to get much out of him though and if they can get a second round I say go for it. Don't be surprised if he is very successful whereever he goes though.
  4. Nine wins is a "lofty goal?" Talk about a loser mentality. Even with all of our injuries last year we got 7 wins. The switch to 3-4 defense is this crew's idea and they shouldn't get a bye for that decision. You play with what you got. A lofty goal would be to win the division or make the playoffs. No wonder this team is getting a loser image.
  5. There was plenty evidence of misconduct. Witnesses saw him buying shots, the woman was, as a result, extremely intoxicated. The bodygaurd admits bringing her to the bathroom. There was sexual contact with a woman. The DA found that there was not enough evidence to warrant confidence that a jury would find him guilty "beyond a reasonable doubt". Certainly there was some reprehensible conduct. Even by white guy standards and forgetting the pacman incident a suspension is warranted.
  6. Minnessota had an all pro at left tackle (Bryant McKinney...the guy we passed up when we took Mike Williams) and a not too bad offensive line. Peterson was a premier running back in a way that Spiller isn't even in his league. (Think Marcus Allen, LT, OJ Simpson good). No...spiller would be a bad choice, although he will be a good running back for someone. We have so many pressing needs to address.
  7. condolences Sage...they don't get the title Man's best friend for nothing.
  8. Hey I'm waiting...if they get nine wins or more next season I'll jump right onto their bandwagon. Less than that I'll join the crowd with the tar and feathers and the ride out of town for yet another bad move in picking people to head up this sorry organization. I'd rather have LT at 3.3 ypc backing up Jackson than Lynch. I'd rather have Holmes as a receiver than Hardy, and Cromartie filled a need for the Jets... but then we don't have any needs so we might as well sit on our hands....I'm going to be amazed to see how they get nine or more wins next year but more power to the bills front office.
  9. If the top three tackles are gone..and Clausen is gone (Suh and Stafford and probably Berry being certain to be three others in the mix before us.) we have a LOT of first rate picks in areas of need left. Dan Williams at DE...McLain at Linebacker...McCoy at DT. Maybe even Campbell at OT. Spiller is still a pretty bizarre pick. If I were to bet the top player available to us at nine I'd suggest it might be Eric Berry who is the best by far player at his position since Ed Reed. HOWEVER...if he is available and with our needs...I'd pass on him. Spiller isn't even close to dominating his position like Berry was at safety.
  10. Spiller at 9 would be a very bizarre pick. We have Jackson and Lynch and no offensive tackles, a need for an OLB and DT and DE, and a qb. It would be a change from the past regime...instead of wasting a pick on an excessive number of defensive backs we can begin wasting them on an excessive number of offensive backs.
  11. Why? do women in buffalo have large penises?
  12. Its wonderful to know that the existing crew knows how you"can't" build a winning team. I think we might have done better to hire folks who know how you "can" build one.
  13. And if the Bills had won the New England game and two or three more Dick Jauron would still be coach... And if John McCain had gotten a bundle of states to go his way he would be president. And if Tiger Woods had kept it in his pants he'd be wearing a green jacket today...
  14. geez...terry doesn't pull any freaking punches, does he? I always liked that guy as a great qb on the field and a whacky gut decent goofball off of it. Turns out he knows something about good advice. Listen up Ben.
  15. I'm coming around to Clausen if he is available and Okung, Baluga and Trent Williams aren't, and its possible that none of those three tackles are going to be there at nine. There may be other needs at 9 that we could address on D-line and perhaps linebacker, but Clausen would look like a pretty good choice at nine. The fact is that there will probably be some very good left tackles available at 41 and I suspect Colt mCoy and Tebow will be gone at 41 (some might disagree). Anyway..Clausen is an iffy choice as are all "franchise" qb choices, but I would actually applaud Nix and Gailey if they went this route.
  16. not really...more like woody johnson, mike tannebaum and coach Ryan...but what do they know..they only made it to the AFC championship game.
  17. I don't see any problem with contacting the Unemployment office to be sure. I believe that the office does consider interstate claims but wiser to get it from them before you plan to move. Best of luck!!
  18. Welcome CSBill...I agree with you 100% If we could swing a trade for Gaither with pick 2 we could easily take Clausen in Round 1. The key is to fill the LT position and if we can get our franchise quarterback this year while strengthening our O-line we could be cooking with gas. I think that cooking with gas thing might be a little outdated...
  19. its more than getting holmes for a fifth..its getting sanchez, and a philosophy of constantly getting better under the new regime. Tomlinshon, Cromartie and Holmes and then going into the draft. This is a team that isn't going to sit on its hands in any facet of the personnel game.
  20. The way the DA put it...there wasn't enough evidence to prove "beyond a reasonable doubt" that Rothlesberger committed a sexual assault, and the victim wasn't ready to go through a public trial. I don't think Rothlesberger has exactly cleared his name. Let's see what the commish does.
  21. I stepped into A pile of you And got love all over me.... And then there's the Jack Clement song... You've been flushed from the toilet of my heart...sung by Johnny Cash on the folsom prison album I believe.
  22. Well, we've got one team in the division licked. This team foolishly signed Santonio Holmes, Cromartie and Tomlinson after getting to the AFC Championship game. Don't they realize that the way to improve is to sit on your hands, sign an offensive lineman who is a penalty magnet that even Oakland didn't want, get rid of one of the few actual starting offensive lineman you had, sign a guy who flunked two physicals and hope you do well in the draft? I think we've got the division sewed up since Belichik and Parcells haven't really bought into the existing Bills philosophy! Super Bowl here we come!!!..
  23. I've heard the same thing about him, but what I've read would indicate that he is not all that committed to football based on his combine and pro day behavior and some problems already discussed on this board. I thought for sure he would be the pick for us, but I think his stop may be dropping for a good reason. I think the top three tackles are okung, baluga and trent williams. Campbell and Davis have tons of talent but sound a little risky. If one of the top three makes it to nine, I would go with them, but if they don't I think we look at a qb, defensive lineman or great outside linebacker for the pick. Trading down is an option I guess, if circumstances work out.
  24. Media? Isn't that the chick with snakes on her head that turns you to stone when you look at her?
  25. The Atlanta Falcons went from a losing season to a nine win season in one year (2008 to 2009). Bwahhh....you kind of pooped the bed on that one Alex. The cards went from a 5 win season to an 8 win season from 2006 to 2007 to divisional champs to ... I think you'll find all of the teams he recommended went to nine win seasons...that's the criteria I set forth...not a divisional championship or the superbowl. Kind of a modest expectation in my humble opinion.
