At least the consensus is DE just a lot of differing opinions on which one -
TSW Mock Draft Bills Selection Poll - Round 1, Pick 30
NeverOutNick replied to Virgil's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I’d be surprised if Beane went RB. We hardly used the ones we drafted the last 2 years and picked up Brieda. It’s a good mix of talent that will hopefully be utilized more effectively this season. I think we’re set there for now. Defense or TE would be my guess for the first couple picks and I’m hoping it’s more pass rushers since that was the big difference between our team and the 2 that made the SB last year -
I hear you brother and I actually do like boogie a lot but I’m not always the best at scouting pass rushers but I do know my skill positions
-
That’s fine. Guess it’ll just be a friendly bet in a couple years for bragging rights on who was right between Toney and Moore. I’ll ride Moore but man I hope he doesn’t go to the ravens lol
-
Watch that Moore highlight video I posted to get a small taste. Then watch your boy Toney. Lastly, remember the offenses these guys played for and who their supporting cast was and tell me whose the better prospect (outside of injury because I do understand that part is a knock against Moore)
-
I mean honestly I don’t think we need to go WR early but if we did he’s the guy I’d want. He’s going to be special if he stays healthy. The Harvin comparison is a low bar I guess but it’s the comparison that came to mind when watching both play in college.
-
The thing that differs from Moore and Harvin is that Moore is a fighter. Dude gets hit a lot and keeps going
-
Moore will probably be better
-
Moore has that second gear like Tyreke and is electric in space. Hollywood isn’t what we thought he’d be but a lot of that is the offense he’s in and how he’s used
-
It’s all good I know what I see. A couple years from now we’ll look back and reflect on who was right I guess
-
He played for inept Purdue and in most big ten games was the most electrifying player on the field. I agree his health is a concern but no question about his talent. Kid is going to amazing in the NFL barring injury
-
He 100% was special he just never reached his full potential with all the injuries and migraines. Watch any game in college or early in his NFL career and you’ll remember how good he was. Basham seems like the most upside of all the DEs in our range and he’s good against the run. I won’t be surprised if he gets drafted higher than we think
-
I’d make a bet that if both have healthy careers Moore has the more successful one over Toney. Kid has something special kind of like a Percy Harvin or Tyreke Hill lite
-
Basham and if we’re talking Purdue’s Moore are both going to be studs in this league
-
Awesome signing! Love that speed
-
What a deal! So happy he’s back he’s going to kill it with the full time returner gig along with with speed he brings to the offense as the #5
-
Clowney or Dunlap are both fine imo. Clowney is great against the run and gets pressure regardless if the numbers aren’t always there. For a cheap one year prove it deal either would be fine as we develop/rotate Epenesa and whatever pass rusher we take at 30. Pass rush is really our only glaring weakness. I have faith Beane will get r done
-
If we came away with these 4 players I’d be stoked! All with major upside. basham just has something about him I love as a pass rusher moore is an electric playmaker who at the very least will be a great returner for us early on stokes is insanely fast and long is the last of the top 5 TEs and probably the best blocker of the bunch too
-
What position you feel we need the most.
NeverOutNick replied to PrimeTime101's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
You nailed it. It would be nice to have an upgrade at TE and more depth at CB to compete with Jackson and Wallace but pass rush is where we’re severely lacking. It’s really the only part of our team that’s below average. Even RB is getting blown out of proportion. Both Moss and Singletary are good young RBs. Their numbers look pedestrian because our offense uses them as an afterthought which is fine because it worked...Let’s focus on pass rush and I’ll feel great our chances at a SB championship next year. I don’t even mind signing Dunlap or Clowney on a cheap one year prove it deal along with nabbing a potential stud at 30 -
A remaining FA pass rusher or the draft?
NeverOutNick replied to BillsFan619's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Speed at RB and Leonard Fournette hahaha...I agree we need explosive pass rushers but our RBs are better than TBs so that had nothing to do with them beating KC. Pass rush, pass rush, pass rush that’s what we need and better play by Milano in coverage. White was a monster in the super bowl...The offense will be better than it was last year even if we do nothing more on that end (although I’m sure we’re not done there either) -
Man what an awesome signing for a back up quarterback. The guy has some juice and can win us a couple games if Josh ever had to miss any time...what a steal of a contract too
-
Let’s get Ertz and either Dunlap or a Clowney on a 1 year prove it deal and go win a Super Bowl!

Gronk Considered signing with Bills

Man that would’ve been awesome! Instant crowd favorite and good mentor for Knox in our super bowl run -

Resign Bojo and McKenzie Perfect off season finishes with us signing all 3 of these guys to 1 year deals to win a SB: CB Jason Verrett or Richard Sherman DE Jadeveon Clowney TE Rob Gronkowski comes home to Buffalo (obviously this one ain’t happening but I can dream) -
He has a habit of trying to do too much and it costing the team in field position or even turnover. He takes it out of the end zone more frequently than he should and doesn’t get to the 25 when he does. He used to be a very good return man but his time has passed. Let the young gun get his chance. McKenzie is more explosive and I trust the coaching staff to instill discipline so he knows when he should and shouldn’t take it out of the end zone
