You’re wrong. It has nothing to do with what happened to him. He’s an awful safety that can’t cover and is consistently out of place leaving our corners on islands. No team with any decent talent evaluating FO was going to sign him so he wasn’t a priority and doesn’t need to be on our team anymore. He may be a great guy but we’re trying to win football games and McD and Beane don’t seem to get that sometimes

Joey Bosa signs with Buffalo. 1 year, $12.6 million
NeverOutNick replied to Draconator's topic in The Stadium Wall
I like the idea of him in his prime but I’ve made fun of how lame this dude has been the last few years that I just can’t get excited about the signing. Again this is just my POV as a guy who watched him from a distance but he doesn’t seem like a team guy. He’s got an entitled and lazy persona about him and doesn’t play hard or have that competitive edge I see from his little brother. Floyd was less money and a proven commodity in our D. Hope he just needed a change of scenery but I’m not optimistic on this dude. -

If he finally stays healthy I’ll be good with this. Thank God it’s a one year deal. Let’s go Joey finally prove your worth- 641 replies

I like your optimism but this FO and McD have terrible track records with the D line so I’m very skeptical. O line on the other hand they’ve done great…if only we had a defensive minded coach to know what could fix the D to get pressure when it mattered 🤔 That being said the player seems like a Buffalo guy but for the money and how much he’ll actually play (outside of special teams 🙄), I just wish we took true difference makers. Not #3 WRs on one of the most pathetic WR corps in the league or rotational pass rushers away from a team who always spends big money on high impact players.

Typical bills move at wide receiver. It’s the Curtis Samuel type of move but at least he’s a big target that can catch. I just hope that doesn’t mean they’re not gonna try and keep Cooper or go after a stud wide receiver in the draft. Get some speed like that kid golden.

Josh Allen gets record contract extension $330 million
NeverOutNick replied to The 9 Isles's topic in The Stadium Wall
I’m on cloud 9! I would’ve been happy if he signed a 15 year extension at $100 mil per year! Go Bills -
If Josh did not want to extend his contract and potentially leave, would you blame him? no. He’s the only reason we’re consistently a playoff team. Our HC and GM has failed him during the playoffs and in offseason contracts going to defensive duds who never make a difference when it matters. Ownership has needed to make a move since the 13 second fiasco but is happy to be a perennial division winner and be KCs punching bag when we’re outmatched mentally every year in the playoffs. I love Josh and know he’s the best player in the NFL but it’s not his job to tell management to make a change. I wouldn’t be surprised or mad if he left the bills but I sure hope he doesn’t because the day he does I will no longer care about watching this ref inspired crap show we call NFL football anymore. Go bills. Please don’t leave Josh. You’re our only hope

AFC Championship Game Week Thread - Bills at Chiefs

Hilarious but so real 😳 -
It’s not one play. It’s more often than not. I’ve been saying it all year. He’s our weakest link in pass coverage. He consistently leaves corners on islands. Thankfully we have really good corners
-
That’s the point. He doesn’t know how to do his job as a safety in coverage. He’s a liability. Sure he can tackle and plays the run well but that’s what 2 down LBers can do as well. Reid is going to target him all day if he’s out there
-
Hamlin can’t be out there deep anymore. Play close to the line or get off the field please

College football championship. Notre Dame/Ohio State
NeverOutNick replied to Steptide's topic in The Stadium Wall
Man I hope we don’t take a safety that high again. You spend the high picks on premium positions. The ones that cost huge money after the first contract. Let’s get WR and Pass rushers early. Safety in free agency or later in the draft -
Our corners need actual safety help. They get NONE. Hamlin actually interfered with TJ off the jump on one ply. He’s absolutely horrible in coverage and it’s insane that he keeps being put in as a starter. Hyde needs to be in for 2 more games alongside Bishop if Rapp is hurt
-
He’s fine at tackling and played aggressive but he is just AWFUL in coverage. He was no where to be found on a lot of big passing plays. Baltimore it worked out but KC it won’t. We need safeties who don’t leave our corners on an island every play. If Rapp can’t go I sure hope Hyde has one more in him alongside Bishop. But I doubt it
-
Good. That’s better than them targeting Hamlin
-
I’ve also had the sneaking suspicion that we haven’t ended the McD project after so many failed playoff appearances because Beane is a great salesman and sells McD to ownership because he believes his job is tied to McD. Which he may be right but it’s a spineless move for an organization that has the best player on the planet
-
100% agree with you there. He needs to do better on getting the team what it needs in the draft. D line and more WRs. The luxury safety picks are not needed especially when you don’t even use them over a guy who couldn’t cover his mouth during a sneeze let alone know where he’s supposed to be in any passing situation.
-
He gets a free pass because he’s a masterclass at filling needs. He didn’t know Von would tear his ACL and he needed to do better getting Josh weapons in the draft earlier in his career but he seems to finally understand. McD is the reason we haven’t made it out of the divisional round last 2 years. He consistently underperforms in key moments. Let’s hope this year is different or better yet let’s hope that we keep blowing people out so it’s not even a conversation. Go Josh and Go Bills
