  1. ^ This post for the win.
  2. The OP said lazy and unmotivated players. You have issue with Watkins' being injured. You have issue with "leadership". Those are separate distinctions. He is not lazy or unmotivated. He works hard. He has been vocal in support of Tyrod or whomever the QB is who is given the reigns by the coaching staff. He supported Orton. He supported EJ. He supported Tyrod. When healthy he plays very well. He's mentioned himself that he has to get past injuries. He has mentioned himself when he can do a better job. That is leadership. If you disagree with that, fine. But in no way does that indicate lazy or unmotivated.
  3. Lazy and unmotivated players is what the OP was asking for. What you are saying is not either of those things. People are conflating production with how hard a player works and his motivation to play the game. I don't think we have seen either of those be a problem for Watkins. Injuries have been. By all accounts he works at his craft. When healthy we saw how good he is.
  4. What do you want him to say to a "real" journalist? You want him to answer what exactly? I'm curious.
  5. Yeah, there is that. But I don't want a QB at 10 if they don't think the QB will be an impact pro. They could take a QB with their 2nd round or the 3rd round pick, doesn't have to be a first. Also, a lot depends on what they do with Tyrod; keep him, let him walk or if they trade for a guy before the draft, etc. But Foster in McD's defense is Kuechly-esque if he fulfills his potential.
  6. Rueben Foster. And I'm all in on that selection for the Bills.
  7. There's plenty of options; probably some good one's too. Now are there options that fans will like because they have recognizable names? Maybe not.
  8. Most of the league? You mean the press? He is not saying what you are perceiving. McCoy and Musgrave previously worked and lived in Denver. They are comfortable there. Has nothing to do w/Buffalo.
  9. I'd rather they get Reuben Foster. Nasty with the quick twitch to go along with it. Bring back Woods and Hunter for WR.
  10. This is terrible. That 650 million dollar relocation fee could have helped pay for a new stadium. And the Chargers are DOA. They will go back to San Diego one of these years. Have never met a Charger fan in L.A. and I've been here a while.
  11. I think McD hires Frazier because Frazier can help implement his system and call the defense. If McD went with a new DC like Holcomb would have been then I could see him calling the defense. I think McD is going to be a CEO Head Coach. We'll see if he addresses it at the presser tomorrow.
  12. What owner have you seen that goes around explaining everything to the fan base? And truthfully, I'm not surprised he didn't really get how the perception had formed the past couple weeks. He was looking for a new coach. He has the Sabres. He has the fracking business. I wouldn't doubt he's not sitting around watching ESPN on a daily.
  13. I thought I was the only one who thought they did fine in the interview... But you can't be surprised about the stretching of imaginations. Its TBD. New day, same ole same ole.
  14. Chargers are DOA. L.A. is a Raider town. If the Chargers happen to start winning immediately they will get some people to care for a time. Celebrities will show up to be seen, etc. but it won't last. The only team in L.A. immune from the apathy caused by losing is the Lakers. And outside of the Rams there are two NBA, MLB, NHL and soon to be MLS teams within a thirty mile radius as well as beaches and hiking trails and other entertainment. Good luck Spanos.
  15. You were noticing that too, huh? Must be Jerry Sullivan disciples. They hired a new coach today. We will see what happens. No reason to be upset already.
  16. First reports I saw last week were that Whaley liked McDermott but the Pegula's were still enamored with A. Lynn.
  17. Oh, Lord make it stop...
  18. I wouldn't doubt this, but from looking around most fans seem to dislike the coaches on the teams they support and cannot understand why any other team would want them.
  19. Totally agree. Foster and Ragland and Brown would be a good trio. This narrative is old. They kept Richie and Cordy just last season. But no team can keep everyone. Salary cap was designed to help the competitiveness of the league. Do you pay Tyrod and Gilmore? Gilmore and Zo or Brown? Gilmore and Woods? Who they keep depends on what they do at QB and what the new coach wants to run. But so you feel better, Zo said last week his agent and the Bills have been in discussions. I would like to see him back as well and don't think he will be overly expensive at his age.
  20. What makes you think that? Sounds like things are still up in the air. Considering? Who would you prefer?
  21. Coaches in the playoffs have a specific window when they can be interviewed. They cannot be hired, officially, until their team is out of the playoffs.
  22. Don't believe that hype. Coughlin wants to coach. The Bills haven't approached him and his agent is spinning. How many reports emerged a few weeks ago about how Coughlin liked the Bills gig? That was agent speak too. Now other candidates are being interviewed and he's not and the narrative changes... 👌then.
  23. They wouldn't. Probably Jimmy Sexton is the source of that information. They can't control agents mouths.
