This is true. However, at the same time, one could wonder if the reason Kap was kneeling was lost on those who were "alienated." Or if they simply did not care about the systemic "alienation" of others, for whatever their personal reasons might be.

Why do you think the GM wasn't onboard? It seems fairly obvious Whaley wanted to keep options open in case they could upgrade. When that didn't happen they kept Tyrod.

Cleveland Heavily After Tyrod Taylor.
purple haze replied to KevinMassare's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get the feeling that if the Bills can't trade Tyrod they will keep him. And if other teams are interested, which there probably are some, Cleveland would want to trade for him to make sure they get him, and get him at a manageable rate for a QB of his caliber. If he hits the market they will have competition and costs could go up. -
Jabrill Peppers? (Thomas Davis/Shaq Thompson clone)
purple haze replied to JustWinPlease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
213lbs. 4.46 forty. Too big to play DB? How so? Terrence McGee was 210. Da'Norris Searcy was 220-225. -
Peppers making his case
purple haze replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He looked real good out there. And agree about his mentality. He's a Safety though. And he's going in round one. And probably in the top half. -
What loafing? Where does this narrative come from? On the field Dareus is a beast and usually has been since he showed up in Buff. His issues are off the field. Hopefully, he can pull himself together and accept the good intentions of others in the organization trying to help him do that because he has been through a lot of pain. But on the field? No issues I can see. Remember, Rex's scheme called for Dareus to occupy blockers mostly, not attack as we were used to seeing him in Schwart's wide 9, 4-3 scheme. His job in Rex's D wasn't designed to get a lot of stats.

Reuben Foster Sent Home From Combine
purple haze replied to bilzfancy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course. But they aren't just seeing a doctor. They get tests, such as MRI's and other things. Does it make sense to bring all of that equipment and doctors to a stadium or hotel? No reason to not send them to the hospital. Everything is already there. -
Bills reportedly would have interest in Trevor Siemian
purple haze replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If Tyrod is worth a top 15 pick he is worth keeping. I like a lot of things about Tyrod, but he's not getting the Bills a top 15 pick. Maybe a second rounder. -
Don't count on it. Maybe it will be, but it's too early for anyone, scouts included, to know all of the QB's they think will be good, will play as well as they have or not be injured. If they see a QB they like in April the Bills should take him.

Ask Cleveland about CB bust in the top 10.
-
They have good depth in this draft at CB. If they let Woods walk they need to use that pick on WR.

Unintended Leak of Tyrod's Future??
purple haze replied to theesir's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
😂😂😂😂😂😂 Agree. If they couldn't upgrade then no reason to let him walk. They should still draft a guy. -
The Bills sign Eric Berry.
-
He was drafted in the 2nd round and if it wasn't the Bills would have been another team. That's why they traded up in the round. He is not the same as Sam or Nguyen or Tebow at all.

Get Rid of 1 To get 5 or More !!
purple haze replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If you believe Dareus has "screwed up enough" then why would any team trade for him or provide anything of value for him if they did? As you say, he's a good player. The Bills need to put him at DT and let him attack. And the salary cap won't allow the Bills to trade him if they wanted to. The cap hit would be too prohibitive. -
You don't wait. If there's a guy they like they should take him. If there is a guy they like next year, take him too. You wait until 2018 you might have waited on nothing. Players get injured or don't play as well. Yeah, I don't get the tank crowd. Too many good pieces on the roster for that. Tanking worked out real well for the Sabres... How could they be sure about any guy in 2018? No games have been played. Because players are "forecast" to do well does not mean they will. Or that they won't get injured. Banking on 2018 is a fools errand.

Not entirely accurate. He made great throws to get them down the field. I recall a 3rd and 21 to Robert Woods, dropped in the tightest of windows. Once you get into inside the 10 it's harder; harder still when your WR gets interfered with. Ball was where it should have been. Woods got bumped off or he would have been there to. Agreed, if Romo isn't an option. For all of Taylor's shortcomings there is no one else available without flaws. The grass is greener crowd just wants someone different. I get it, but it's useless if the QB isn't someone better. No matter what they choose to do the Bills should still look to draft a QB.
-
He's been doing this for years. It probably won't change. He's no better than Tyrod. Just different in some ways. But ultimately, he needs a great D and running game w/Special Teams doing well to be a part of an effective team. IF the Bills decide to let TT walk, and can't get Romo, I'd rather they draft a guy and let him fight it out with Cardale.
-
As a backup, playing for cheap? Fine. As a potential starter? Yuck. For me there are three options: 1. Keep Tyrod and draft a QB early. 2. Let Tyrod walk, trade for Romo and draft a QB. 3. Let Tyrod walk, draft a QB early, let him and Cardale battle it out for starter. Sign a vet for cheap to be around just in case. Under no circumstances do I want to see the Bills sign a Hoyer, McCown or Foles to be a "bridge" starting QB. If they aren't keeping Tyrod or getting a legit starter (Romo), then go young and let them learn on the field. No matter who they line up, they will be relying on the same paradigm to win games as they have been subscribing to. Defense, ST's and run the rock.

Bills are at Clemson this morning

Probably looking in on Watson, Williams and any other draft eligible players Clemson has. It's what scouts do. -
Kirk Cousins wants out of Washington
purple haze replied to Buffalo Barbarian's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not buying it. Sounds like an agent floating stories to gain leverage for a long term contract. Jedi mind tricks. Cousins wants to get paid. If they tag him again, next year he will get a mint. If they get scared and sign him now, he gets a mint or they trade him for assets to..? -
Coach McDermott is very quiet
purple haze replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree about quiet coaches. But McDermott is not a coach whose personality we know yet. We just know that he isn't talking right now, which to me isn't a bad thing. Talk when there's something to discuss. I'm sure we'll hear from him in a few weeks, combine/FA time. I prefer personality over the Jauron's and Belicheck's of the world, but if they win I will take whatever they are. All about the wins at the end of the day. -
From EJ to AJ ?? A Definite Upgrade !!
purple haze replied to T master's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
With the wind that comes through New Era I don't see Whaley thinking McCarron's arm will get it done. There's a reason they look for strong arm QBs. I don't see them blowing an asset (of which they don't have many draft picks) to get a guy like McCarron. -

Ruben Foster might be available at 10. Check. Although I like a lot of things about Boulware's game. Not necessarily. They would still be trying to win the way they did with Tyrod; defense, ST's and run game. IF defense doesn't improve then be prepared for a down year.
