  1. It was Foster. In my heart it's still Foster. In my mind, I'm worried about all this smoke around him now because the Bills need this pick to hit. I would say Howard or Reddick. (Because they will probably be available)
  2. This is the thing though: Howard is basically a big WR. He can play from the slot or split out wide. Plus he's a willing blocker in-line. So he helps the run game to a degree, and provides a mis-match in the pass game based on an ability to line up at multiple spots, his size and speed. Picking him might give the team more bang for the pick. Also, the Bills could shock us and take a WR2 in the second or third even if they picked Howard. There are no guarantees with any of these players, but if the Bills picked Howard I could understand why.
  3. I don't think he's as sudden/explosive as Miller, but he is very good. I wanted Foster, before this drug test thing happened. Bills aren't in a position to take chances when other high end players are available (Not that we know what any of them are really doing outside of football). Reddick's mental toughness and versatility would fit what McDermott/Whaley seem to value at this point; he's a worker. If he turned out to be the pick that would be a positive for the Bills.
  4. Not necessarily. They could have a QB or two or three that they like, but at a value they like. For instance, they trade down six to ten spots and grab their QB at that point, while picking up an extra pick or two. There's no guarantee any of the QB's go in the top ten. They all need work. But if they like Trubisky, Watson and Mahomes, lets say, one of them is bound to be there even with a trade down within a certain range.
  5. Right. I'm not saying he's slow, but in the league route running is what allows the separation. Everybody has speed, and many of the guys he'll be going against will be faster and quicker. That's why his routes have to be better. Can he master route running will be the question. But I do like him a lot though. Yeah, good point. Something tells me Howard will be gone before the Bills pick. But Howard and a WR in round 2 could be a good combo.
  6. I don't believe even the Browns would be crazy enough to take Trubisky at #1. That would be lunacy. He can see 4 having good careers, and maybe they will, but that doesn't mean they should be drafted in the top 10 or the first round. And he is right about waiting til next year being bad draft strategy. Players regress, get injured, etc. Matt Barkley was supposedly a top five pick after his junior year, went back to school for his senior year and turns out he wasn't that hot after all.
  7. Tyrod taking the next step, which is Seattle/Miami game 2 Tyrod on a consistent basis. And a physical, effective defense.
  8. This is one year I'm totally clueless what they will do in the draft. It could be WR, CB, S, LB or OT. Or a TE, QB. They have played the smokescreen game very well. Watch them take a DL. And I would be cool with that too. Kyle can't play forever.
  9. Both offer good things, but I worry a bit about Williams ability to separate. He's going to have to sharpen his route running. He's damn good at catching in traffic and coming down with 50/50 balls though. I would be cool with either one.
  10.   It's a salary cap driven league. Some years will be lean. Two years ago the Bills had money to spend and spent it. In 2018 the Bills will have about 60 million available under the cap. Is that Overdorf's fault too?
  11. Maybe. So long as some of the weak minded type fans we have on the board don't show up.
  12. Not really. He's the backup to the RB who gets the most carries and opportunities to affect games. He's a good player, but a backup is simply a player who does not start. And he does not start.
  13. Not really a mistake. TD Mike is good, but there are other FA RBs available. And a good draft for RBs too. If not Mike they can find a RB who can do the gig.
  14.   They drafted Williams last year having Shady, TD Mike and Karlos. IF they lost TD Mike drafting a RB would probably be something we see. There are a lot of good ones this year and I LOVE Conner's game and mentality. He would be an excellent addition.
  15. Sure they can pass on him and there wouldn't be anything to live down. Chad Kelly has a rough track record off the field and has had injuries on it. If his last name wasn't Kelly there wouldn't be so much attention paid to him on this board. There are things to like about him and he has potential, but folks on here act like he is Jim Kelly. The odds are better that he won't be than he will be.
  16. Depends on what you classify as high. Rd. 1? No. Rd 2? Yes, IF they can trade down and get an extra 2nd or 3rd. If they stay at 10 or don't somehow pick up and extra 2nd or 3rd I don't see them grabbing a QB in first 3 rounds. I think what we're seeing is a good smokescreen.
  17. Why? I'm fascinated by the infatuation people have with Trubisky. 13 games started... 13 games. He has physical abilities, but so do a lot of QBs. He has little game experience. He reminds me of a guy like Christian Hackenberg in that people built him up in spite of his lukewarm game tape. They made excuses for him;he didn't have great WRs, he didn't have a great O-line, etc., etc. He has the physical tools but the bottom line was he wasn't that hot at Penn State. He had a fairly good Freshman year and he looked the part so folks built him up. He got taken on potential when his years of play indicated that he wasn't that good. And he went in the 2nd round where he should have. Some folks were determined he should have been a first rounder before the draft. Trubisky is a guy with potential, but that's not a guy that is a top 10 QB. A QB in the top 10, hell in the first round, I would need to see a guy be productive over a period of time. The position is too important to declare a guy's got "it" with so little tape. I go with potential in the 2nd round or later.
  18. He didn't make a mistake getting Clay. Clay is open a lot. Have to get Tyrod to throw it to him.
  19. Nah, they have few fans here. I would bet the ticket brokers bought the majority of the tickets.
  20. The team also gets to choose. If Kelly did want in if he were a UDFA, doesn't mean the Bills open the door. I doubt Kelly winds up in Buff as a UDFA or draft pick.
  21. Why? If they wouldn't mind having him back and they don't have any other player they are looking to spend the money on let it play out. If there are other players they like more, and feel the LB position needs a reinforcement they would sign that guy. No rush at this point. Will be some players cut after June 1 too. Brown grew up in Maryland so the Skins could be a good option for him.
  22. All day long. That would be a great trade for the Bills.
  23. I agree it will be a mix of public-private. The question though is what form that takes. If they build downtown, which seems likely, there will need to be a lot of infrastructure work: creating roads, upgrading the transit system, upgrading the rail line system. I could see the public-private thing being the Pegula's paying for the stadium and tax payers paying for the infrastructure upgrades, which would benefit the city in general, outside of the Bills.
