What games will you be attending this year?

Raiders. Chargers. -
That's excellent. Good work, KTD.

Jeremy Maclin (Agrees to 2 year deal with Ravens)
purple haze replied to BillsDiehard's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
But what does Tyrod do better than anything? Throw downfield; but Maclin can run all the routes. I like the ideas of having Sammy and Maclin on the field at the same time. Two WR's who can go anywhere on the field. Zay Jones can handle the possession routes. -
The 49ers will have a say in that. And Darnold hasn't played this season yet. Could always regress, get injured, etc. Don't count on any of these college QB's for next year at this early stage.

From what Barnidge said it seems he's more about the opportunity to be the guy at the TE position wherever he lands. He doesn't want to be a #2 TE. I'm not sure the opportunity he wants will exist, and at a certain point waiting on an injury can turn into diminished returns and money for him. -

I can't see that at all. He's good depth, presents a size element other WR's on roster don't and he's a good special teams player. Marcus Easley was a good special teamer who got paid for doing less than what Holmes would provide. I am probably on an island by myself, but I'm not concerned at all about comp picks. -
Shady McCoy: "Buffalo is Like Home to Me"
purple haze replied to 26CornerBlitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
We could have, but Moulds wasn't ready yet. He was there for Kelly's last two seasons. But he was a top flight WR once the lights went on. It's a shame he didn't get more steady QB play. He could have put up some all time numbers. He still turned out to be damn good though. -
Truth. You seem to miss the point of the post. In the interview Whaley took blame for his firing, spoke of some good things he did, which there were some and was generally positive about the organization. It was a class interview. The Buffalo News, after the man is gone, still need to write disparaging articles? Move on.

Panthers cut S Tre Boston; appears to be off to LA
purple haze replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
As my old coach used to say, "when I stop talking to you, then you should be upset." If McD really didn't like Boston's potential he would have been on the bench. If he was being called out, the coach has expectations that he believes the player has the ability to meet. It's a negative occurrence, but for a positive reason. Doesn't mean he winds up with the Bills, but he's still a young player and that's not a bad thing for depth. -
. He's been scouting. He was interim GM and handled personnel responsibilities during that stretch until Gettleman was hired. He's a football guy now and has been for a while. You want a guy with more years of experience on the football side. I understand that desire. But Whaley had that, Donohoe had that, Nix had that and so do many personnel guys around the NFL who get hired and fired yearly. Experience alone won't guarantee success. Whomever is hired has to prove themselves so I'm not getting worked up over optics.

I think things are turning, albeit slowly. The Pegula's have to identity their people. They have made mistakes, but those are correctable. What isn't correctable is an ownership group unwilling to spend resources. We have willing spenders with our ownership in terms of players and staff. They do try to support their employees maybe to a fault, but their desire to do that is a good one, and a reality that many fan bases wish they had. We are better off than many organizations across sports in that regard. Once we get the right people in charge (hopefully McD is one part of that) we will be in a sustained era of winning. Keep your head up.

Times and methods of operation change. I just hope all of this confidence McD inspired in the Pegula's shows up in wins in the fall. Why will you be upset? None of us know anything about these candidates outside of reports. He could be a great GM.

NFL Draft Day 3 Discussion

I would bet we see RB, CB and LB go today. -
Just when I think the Bills finally got smart...
purple haze replied to Wayne Arnold's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They identified players they wanted for whatever those reasons are. Acquiring more picks is not always about taking more players; often times it is about using the "extra" picks to move around the draft board to get specific players an organization wants at different areas of the draft. -

Agree. However, there are professional naysayers on this board; everything is wrong; nothing is good; unless what they want to happen happens and even then there might be a jaded take. It is annoying. -

RD 1, Pick 27: Tre'Davious White (CB) - LSU

Let your top CB walk bc he wanted more & than team thought he was worth. -
If Thomas is there at 10, and the Bills took him, be happy. He's a beast.

TG on Whaley & McD sounds to be in charge update
purple haze replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That doesn't make any sense. He's not forced to take a QB at 10. Why would he take a player at 10 that won't play? He needs the team to win. He's taking a player who can contribute if anything. He is??? Monday afternoon, all I heard was Whaley should go because he let the Patriots get TD Mike, etc. etc., even though McDermott was in the building when the 5th round tender was put on him. So i'm confused. Whaley is in charge when something happens fans don't like. But if it's something fans like then McDermott is in charge? Is that right?
