Bills have 3rd worst SB odds for 2019
purple haze replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Odds will change probably before the season actually starts, but as of now the Bills QB situation is unsettled and they have a lot of Free Agents. Their team is an unknown right now. -
Timberlake is okay, but that was not a good halftime show. There was no focus. There was no drama. I turned the channel. Prince is stil the best performance I've seen or Michael Jackson.

In-Depth Breakdown of Lamar Jackson by Eliot Crist
purple haze replied to DCOrange's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Last year there were concerns about Watson's ability to read defenses. Last year there were concerns about Watson's accuracy, particularly down the field and how much arm strength he had. There were concerns about him running as well. All of that in the pre-draft build up. Similar things to what we hear about Jackson now. Jackson is more explosive in all regards. Watson though is just a winner. He was a pro before he got drafted. Just like Russell Wilson was. Talent, demeanor, etc. Watson should have gone over Trubisky, I agree. I'm not saying Jackson is a better QB than Watson. I'm simply commenting on the difference in athletic traits. But Jackson also has an it factor. He's just not as polished as Watson. And he might never be. But if he can polish his game adding that to his physical traits will allow him to be elite. At pick 21 or 22, or for sure in the 2nd round there would be worse lottery numbers to play. -

That's true. He might not wind up being better. But Watson had many of the same issues said about him last draft season. Accuracy down the field, reading defenses, etc. my point is from a physical standpoint Jackson has Watson beat. And Watson was and is very good. -
Says the person calling himself Old Dirty B on a message board. LoL. Okay, Aaron Williams if it makes you feel better? Coaches at every level will tell players what I said. It's about awareness. A simple, basic concept really. Why you take issue with it is ??♂️. Yes, the NFL and NCAA are attempting to legislate these types of plays out of the game. Doesn't mean it's full proof. Doesn't make a guy dirty either when it happens. Landry wasn't removed from the game after the block. Why? Aaron Williams, thought the hit was unnecessary, yet said in the same sentence had no ill will toward Landry bc he understands the how the game can be.

You're right. He has a stronger arm, is faster and more elusive when he runs. -
Hate to say it...Tyrod will be back
purple haze replied to Hebert19's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No you're not. Bradford rarely seems to play for any length of time. -
I like A. Will too, but come on. Even he said in the article he has no ill will for Landry. That was a normal hit, not long ago, encouraged and expected. Coaches told me and every other player I knew to keep our head on a swivel because somebody is coming from somewhere. Don't get caught. I still had my moments of getting caught, and A. Will got caught like every player before him. Happens to everybody. The problem is A. Will already had the health issue moreso than the hit itself. If it wasn't Landry's hit it would have been some other hit because his health was already compromised. Unfortunately, one can't play ball without getting tagged sooner or later.

Bills still making Bad Contract decisions
purple haze replied to MAJBobby's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Perhaps he meant a long time degenerative issue going forward. The injury seemed to occur over the course of the past season and will not get better enough for him to play. Simple as that. He didn't have the issue in prior physicals. That's how football can work on one's body. -
Understood. But like Hyde said, it was the ? commitment along with McD's vision. now that the process ended with playoffs that vision will have results to back them up. Bills are in good shape. Doesn't mean they get all the players they want, but I think they will merit strong consideration.
-
Ah, understood. I get why you and others don't think Cousins is worth the money he's going to get. BUT w/ the salary cap going up yearly his $ won't seem exorbitant in a couple years from now. And he does have the numbers. The team results not so much. But in a team sport can we blame it all on the QB? i know it's the thing fans/media like to do, but Cousins has played well. Someone has to catch the passes Rodgers and Brady throw, but everyone acts like Rodgers and Brady hiked the ball to themselves, blocked, threw the ball and caught it too. No player, even a QBcan win a football game by themselves.
-
If the Bills want Cousins, signing Paul Richardson won't be the determining factor (although he's a good player and I like him). If Cousins came to the Bills it is because they were willing to pay his price tag and he is sold on McD, Beane and their vision for the organization.
-
You're saying Cousins has overplayed his hand? If so, I disagree. Cousins has made about $44 million in two years from being tagged. He's put up good numbers and will likely get a multi year deal between 20 and 25 million dollars per year OR get 34 million for one year with another tag from Washington. I'll take whatever hand Cousins has been playing. ?

Mayfield may not play in Senior Bowl
purple haze replied to MrEpsYtown's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hyde was arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest? The on field antics aren't a big deal in and of themselves, but add in the off field it has to give evaluators a bit of pause. As a QB, His decision making will be the rise or fall of the coach. If I'm an organization I don't want my QB arguing with random mofo's on twitter. Maybe he turns out great, but it's fair that people have concerns. -
Jackson's receivers had a drop rate if 12%. Chris Trapasso's Twitter page had the source of that statistic.
-
There are a lot of ex-players of teams on every roster. That's the way the cap dictates. But I would add there were 53 Bills in the playoffs this season too. Onward and upward.
-
No guarantees on a drafted player. Great could come from any round and so could a bust. You want a sure thing then you want Cousins. You know what he'll give you.
-
Agreee, although if they move up a few spots it wouldn't be so costly. I like Roquan Smith a great deal. But the Bills could get Rashaan Evans from 'Bama or Tremaine Edmumds from VA Tech to get that same athleticism.
-
True. I hope the re-sign Gaines. I like his game a lot. But he does get dinged up a lot, and if Jackson is there at 21-22, he might be the best player on the board and in a passing league one needs all the CB's they can get, especially with ball skills. Jackson is a beast.
