  1. They just got Solder. Can grab guards later in draft. Same with RB, although Barkley would be hard to pass up at 2.
  2. Indeed. They could run into the same issue with Gettleman though. If Beane deals up I think it's with the Browns at 1 because they could still conceivably grab a QB at 4.
  3. They were dangling Cordy last season. By accounts of those covering the team he was a good bet not to be on the roster this season.
  4. Tells me they like one or more of the QBs everyone talks about. But Beane didn't pull the trigger which tells me he doesn't like one at all costs. Which tells me he might be just fine using all of his picks. We shall see. High drama this draft season. ?
  5. It's possible. If Mayfield is Beane's guy. But I'm not convinced the Broncos don't grab a QB at 5. I'm not convinced the Giants aren't grabbing a QB too. I just don't believe they are that good with Eli and Davis Webb.
  6. I hear you. But what if their guy is Rudolph or Jackson? Glenn was out the door one way or another so swapping up to 12 for him was a good move. All that to say, what if 12 was more about Roquan Smith than a QB they believe will be there at 22?
  7. If Colts wanted to go to 12 I'm sure they already could have dealt w/Beane. Colts GM had to have spoken to multiple teams before dealing w/Jets. Also, it's hard to say who the Bills like. Although Mayfield is the only one of the big 4 that hasn't been linked to the Bills. I'm not a top 5 or bust guy though. I would be fine if they used all of those picks they have and spent one on a QB. I don't think Beane is as thirsty as some of the Mafia is. Bills can come out of this draft way ahead even if they don't get into top 5.
  8. He didn't guess about trades. He just picked player based on where he thought they would go if every team picked at their designated spot. Not all mock drafters utilize theoretical trades. Allen at 12 wouldn't bother me. Allen in top 5? Ehhhhh....
  9. I don't think he lasts until the 2nd. His athleticism and tape are too good. And if the Bills trade up they might not have a pick in round 2.
  10. I'm saying the Browns could trade down with the Broncos or Jets. Then, if they want, trade back up with the Colts. Some of the picks they give/get could be for future picks.
  11. It's definitely reasonable to read the tea leaves. I'm simply saying the Browns might get an offer to good to pass up for #1. Look at it like this: Denver and the Jets miss out on Cousins. They will be desperate for a QB. Tyrod is no longer an option for Elway. Either team might be willing to do what it takes to get their guy, which in your scenario, is only guaranteed if they jump the Bills sitting at #2. If your are John Dorsey you still have pick #4 to grab one of the QBs plus whatever the Broncos or Jets gave you to move up. With all that capital he can move around the board; get Guice or Michele; he would also still have Duke Johnson, and whomever the QB they like is. Dorsey would also know the Broncos/Jets/Bills ain't taking Barkley. So he could package all the extra assets received in a trade down to the Colts and grab Barkley at 3 and get their QB at 4. Why would the Colts do a deal? Because they have multiple needs and, in this scenario, would only be trading down from 3 to 5 or 7. They could still conceivably get Chubb and have a boatload of picks In addition to him and the ones they came into the draft with. Browns don't have to use pick #1 to come out ahead. And if the Bills traded up before the draft they could get burned. The Browns having pick 4 to pivot off of is the difference for them.
  12. I don't see any organization telling him they won't draft a QB high. He doesn't have any clout. Any starting opportunities he gets he should be grateful for. If he does so well a team can't replace him for the rookie, he will get his pay day. Or if he plays well enough, he can be traded to a team that views him as the answer. But today? He's nobody a team needs to make concessions for. Too many options available. Especially for an Arizona team with Old vet Fitzgerald, and David Johnson in the backfield. They would go after a Keemun or a Bradford type QB.
  13. I don't see that. It doesn't make sense to trade up before they know if their guy is on the board. If they want to trade up it doesn't mean they want to trade up for more than one QB prospect. So say Rosen is Beane's guy and they trade up to #2 next week; and on draft day the Browns decide to trade #1 to Denver or the Jets and Rosen happens to be their guy, the Bills are screwed.
  14. I like a lot of things about Tyrod. He was better than many gave him credit for. He just wasn't a "franchise" QB. That's no sin. Most QBs are not. He did a lot of good things on the field and was class personified off of it. God bless him. I hope he balls out for Cleveland and helps lead their culture shift. Easy man to root for.
  15. The thing is information in the public sphere is simply hearsay, and if the hearsay is borne out, there is no proof that tampering occurred before the "legally" sanctioned period. A team would have to be over the top sloppy to get slapped by the league. Teams/agents know how to walk the line and handle business without putting the league in a position to have to do something. Teams want to keep their picks and agents want to keep money in their clients pockets. It's no big deal.
  16. Richardson. A FA and/or drafted QB needs a WR who can stretch the field. Richardson can and is also good at making contested catches. With Benjamin healthy and Zay over the dropsied (hopefully), that would be a nice top 3.
  17. How much is too much? Hitchens is young, and if Sal is right, a guy you can have as a foundation piece. At some point the Bills will have to pay money for players.
  18. He did? Or the Bills didn't want to pay him the going rate? Not taking a home team discount isn't spurning then. It is a business, maybe you have inside info, but from the outside looking in it seems they couldn't agree on money.
  19. Concussion issues probably scaring teams off. Excellent player when healthy.
  20. Hyde was who I wanted them to sign. I thought he showed the potential in GB to do the things we saw him do. Poyer I knew as athletic but had no idea he could play like he did.
  21. Seattle's are cool. Nice color scheme and nod to the heritage of the region. Tampa Bay's unis are trash. I don't know who thought those things up. Probably the same joker who brought the Bills trash unis of with all the stripes and shoulder panels and blue that looked black.
  22. I voted Darnold. Strong arm, mobile, can move in the pocket and still make a great throw. I hate how sloppy he is with the rock though. He will give it away. Rosen will be in the pocket. He's not giving a team the option of running. And his concussions/injuries are concerning. Mayfield has a lot to like, but at his height I don't know. He's not as strong armed or athletic as Wilson or Bree's. Allen has great potential but that accuracy... if he improves that then he's John Elway, Jr. Jackson at 21 would be my choice if he were available. Can do multiple things to help a team win. The accuracy is a concern, but he dominated at times and he played against a consistently higher level of competition than Allen.
  23. Not necessarily. He takes over the RB2 spot, but I could see Tolbert kept for Special Teams and RB/FB back up. There's always a couple Teams guys on a roster outside the K, P, LS.
  24. I hear you. That's reasonable. Although, I contend Brady is a ?. And Rodgers too. I think they're better than even those other elite QBs. If they get the ball last everyone expects they win; fans and opponents.
