  1. If teams wanted to pay him a lot of money they could have traded for him Already. I don't think he'll get an exorbitant pay day. We shall see. McDs defense in Carolina seemed to use 3 LBs a lot. Davis, Keuchley, Thompson. If Bills had three versatile LBs I think we would see more of that look.
  2. Milano needs to play. Kendricks can play Sam. Zo can platoon in at Sam, Mike or Rush DE.
  3. He was making 7 and didn't want to take a pay cut. No team traded for him which tells me they don't view him as worth that type of coin. He is a good player and will get decent money, but I doubt over 5 million at this point. Question is does he sign for one year or can he get multiple years somewhere?
  4. Or they can pay a fair rate to a player on the upswing or with something to prove, who isn't seen as a "top" FA, and roll the rest of the money over to the following year. The Bills don't have to use all or most of the cap money available in 2019. Also, they have 9 picks in the 2019 draft. And we all know Beane is up for a trade at any time. At this point, I wouldn't be concerned about him acquiring talent or the use of funds to do so. I think the Bills are in great position in 2019 because they can go many directions to get the team better and still have a mint of cap space.
  5. Obviously after months of practice Peterman showed enough that McD thought he would be a good option. It was only clear after live, regular season game action that he wasn't. I didn't want the change at that point in the season, but to think McD would play Peterman if he had shown nothing over a period of time, in the practice setting, doesn't make sense.
  6. Star will take up blocks though. Should help Edmundsand Kyle get through to the passer.
  7. Knocking LBs away from Jim Kelly in pass pro or running WR routes and making difficult catches; his passion for the game. I remember that Monday night game against the Rams. He almost killed us with a fumble late in the fourth. His effort on the ensuing offensive possession was beastly.
  8. Yeah, I'm not saying they don't go over the top at times, but it truly is a thing that players can't be worrying about. Coaches will yell, some more than others. ??‍♂️
  9. Coaches yell all the time. That's sports. Listen to what they're saying not how they're saying it.
  10. Same thing I thought when I saw his release. Won't be long now... ⏱
  11. The Juice said similar.
  12. According to reports he did. Had surgery after the season.
  13. I expect we will see a truer representation of his talents and that will be a huge help to the overall offense.
  14. I like McD's style and ability to motivate, and most times put his players in position to be successful. However, I think the talent disparity you mention in that game is not as great as you think it was. Name recognition doesn't make another team vastly superior. Play does. The Raider hadn't played that well all season leading into that game, including Carr and Cooper. While the Bills don't have many household names they do have good players. McD didn't throw a pass, catch a ball or make a tackle. Not having household names does not make them outmatched per se. Those catches Holmes made in that Raider game were top level, professional catches. Tyrod put those passes in the perfect spots. The defense executed assignments well. McD deserves a lot of credit, but so do the names and no names who are actually on the field. They are a gritty bunch of dudes. What McD does well is insist on preparation and consistency and getting Beane to bring in players who have displayed those traits previously.
  15. Bruce, Biscuit and Thurman look nothing alike.
  16. Murphy looked good last year when he got to play. I wouldn't say Gillislee is an obvious upgrade. He did nothing in New England, so is that who he is now? Or is he still TD Mike from his Bills days? Last I saw Murphy he was running through the Dolphins. He's also younger. Gillislee does play special teams though. He did when he was with the Bills anyway. He was a Rex/Whaley guy so I doubt we see him back.
  17. Comes down to what system they run on offense. I have to believe it will be tailored to things Allen can do well. If he is doing as well as McCarron in practice/pre-season games, even if he is not overly impressive, a tie goes to Allen and he will be in there week 1 in Bmore.
  18. Based on past and current events, believe the opposite of what Trump and his representatives say. That's a good start for you. The planet will stay intact. Trump's presidency? Doubt it. It's easy to see it coming. ??‍♂️
  19. I don't agree with your buddy. I've seen a lot of SC games out here. Darnold is very competitive to my eye; he's just not a demonstrative, rah-rah guy. In that way he is "laid back" but he couldn't make many of the plays he makes if he weren't ultra competitive. My issue with Darnold is he is sloppy with the rock. He will give the ball away and then give the ball away again. But he will burn a defense too.
  20. The truth seems to be the issue for them. A lie or a thousand they can sit still for. Oh well, soon enough..:⏳
  21. So true. Many fans were saying he was a bust. Then that third year he turned into a beast and just started dominating. Not saying Zay will turn into Moulds, but he has the talent to be a very good pro. Before last season he was known for catching everything. No reason he can't get back to that.
  22. Zay Jones was not drafted to be #4. He's got a lot more talent than that. He has to step up, period. Also, the number 4 receiver plays on Special Tesms and I don't see him doing that on a regular basis.
  23. True, but you never know where the difference maker will come from. Antonio Brown was a 5th round pick too. Nobody thought he would be all that he turned out to be. Not saying it's likely, but it's possible. It's possible Zay Jones greatly improves. It's possible Benjamin stays healthy. I'm keeping an open mind. They might have what they need. We'll see in a few months.
  24. They drafted the short little speedy guys for a reason. And since you mentioned the Steelers Antonio Brown is 5'10 and arguably the best WR in the game. Let McD and Beane work their plan.
