  1. Until Aaron Donald gets his deal.
  2. I don't believe the NFL has the option of "protecting" draft picks like the NBA does. If a pick is traded the pick is traded. Year of pick or a pick improving by a round or two based on conditions can happen, or flipping picks within the same round, but I've never seen where a pick in any round can be protected if it falls at a certain place in a round.
  3. Adam Schefter backtracked on his original tweet. but even if it were accurate the guy liked the people he played with and liked the city from what he's said. Fans have to let players be human. Getting traded uproots everything. Leaving comfortable surroundings for the unknown, I'm sure, is not easy. He could have pets he needs to account for. He could have a lady he's going to miss. A lot of reasons a trade could cause various reactions that have nothing to do with the city the player is going to.
  4. Schefter usually does, but as we see he backtracked on this one. Context is important too. Coleman said he knew something was coming. But when it actually happens I imagine it's still a shock. He seemed to like his teammates a lot. Considering options could have also dealt with when he had to report, etc. Ultimately, he showed up quickly and got to work. That's good enough for me.
  5. ??? the fact that it's Astro has me believing something is up. He knows the ways of the board too well to spread bad info.
  6. Why are some jumping on Coleman for something no one heard him say or know to be accurate? R-E-L-A-X.
  7. It's a football life, not a Hall of Fame Football life. There are many stories to be told around the game and different players. Not all of the subjects need to be the greatest players/coaches ever for those to stories to hold relevance. Keep an open mind, the stories might resonate with you.
  8. John Starks had his share of successes. And Reggie Miller walked all over most players. He's in the Basketball Hall of Fame for good reason. Reggie was cold blooded.
  9. What you describe the Sabres as having is not the same as what the Bills are getting. The items described in the Bills expanded facility are directly related to the mind and body. They aren't hang out rooms, unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean. Both mind and body have a direct effect in playing well. While playing well does not guarantee wins, playing well does increase the chances of the possibility.
  10. I thought it was my phone acting up. I'm sorry everyone else is falling victim to this horrible app, but glad to learn it wasn't my phone that was the issue.
  11. Donald dominates games consistently in the trenches. He's what Marcel could/should be. That dude will be worth all the money he gets.
  12. They ain't playing measureables, they're playing football. Games start next week and we shall see who stands out. But knowing what we do about McD, a guy showing out in practice consistently will fit his paradigm. I like what Foster could be though. Both have to translate practice performance to the games. In NFL terms both are coming up the hard way.
  13. It's better if the "field came alive" and he snatches Brady's skeleton out of his skin.
  14. Not surprising. Shady is an elite talent. He'll win more than his share against any LB. not many Shady's out there though.
  15. Were you of age when the Bills had consecutive 2-14 seasons? There was never a time I didn't want the Bills in the Super Bowl. The alternative is what was unbearable. And those Bills teams did very well against NFC opponents, in general, during the Super Bowl years, so it wasn't unlikely they would beat Dallas or San Francisco. The Bills beat both of those teams in the regular season as well as the Giants; on the road at that. Super Bowl XXV, the Bills gave away. Super Bowl XXVI, the Bills didn't have their minds right, (thought they could just show up and win) but still had chances to come back in that game. Super Bowl XXVII, Kelly got hurt, and the Bills were sloppy with the ball. The Cowboys took advantage. Super Bowl XXVIII, The Bills ran out of gas in the second half, and again, were sloppy with the rock.
  16. Yep. He's got coaches all over the place. There have been other times, in the college ranks, where one of his clients is fired and another of his clients gets hired for that job.
  17. Sexton is well established across the football world. Between the players and coaches he repped in the past and reps now, at this point, I don't think he needs prove himself in the same way other agents do. He's a heavy hitter in the agent world.
  18. The music city rip-off. I watched the first half in my apartment. Some of those calls the refs missed... I smashed a hole in the wall and shattered a fan. The ref missed a blatant P. I. Against Peerless Price near the end of the half and I grabbed my TV. So I went to my friend's crib in Brooklyn for the second half. I knew I would "act right" in someone else's place. And I did. At the end of the game though I went on the foulest, most vile rant of Old Testament vengeance type of proportions. My friends' roommate happened to be in the hospital at the time with heart trouble. He happened to phone home a few minutes after the game ended. 30 minutes later he was concerned about my health because I literally had not stopped hollering about the robbery. All he could hear was me screaming in the background. If I had a swear jar, after this rant, I would have been broke and homeless. It was that bad. God forgive me, but WE WUZ ROBBED! I'm still pissed off... that Bills D was championship worthy.
  19. I don't know how anyone expects anything. There are too many unknowns to say one way or the other. It seems folks automatically place the unknown in the negative column. It could be that the unknown produces good fruit. We shall see.
  20. Fine by me. Mack is better than any player they might take if it were a top 5 pick. Mack is still a young player approaching his prime, not an older veteran. Mack is a proven, impact player in the highest level of football in the world. McD and Frazier with Mack? Yes. Adding Mack would not preclude adding other pieces in draft or Free agency. The Bills would still have 8 draft picks if they traded this hypothetical first rounder. Theoretically, lets say they gave Mack 20 mil per year. Beane would still have 40 + million of cap room, and that's without making moves to the purge the roster of $. And Mack is not getting 20 mil. if Beane could get Mack for a first he better be all over that. I don't think Oakland would give Mack up for "only" a first though.
  21. Different front office. And $$$ talks anyway.
  22. He was in The Friday After Next.
  23. All logical points. But many crimes defy logic and we have to account for the possibility that emotion and frustration got the best of him. He could have sent the guy, but the guy went farther than he was supposed to during the "robbery". My my gut is telling me this isn't Shady though. My mind keeps coming back to the friend with the Instagram post.
  24. So far she is the one person who came out with a deluge of information. Info that has been backtracked on, disputed, etc. add in the AWOL, teenaged son on the night of the robbery, Shady's call to cops a year ago and his expressed belief the ex-girlfriend would try to drag his name through the mud, a neighbors call that people were starting trouble at the house with Shady's mother, it is all very strange. Hey, it could be that Shady ordered the job, but I'm just playing amateur detective. This seems like a situation that will be wind up being twisted up in unforeseen ways.
