The Silver Lining : Josh Allen is very good.
purple haze replied to PlayoffsPlease's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That's a good start. I'll take it. You? -
peterman only looked good in preseason because

Like I said in the past, the Bills could do better than Tyrod, but they could also do worse. I'd rather watch Josh Allen take his lumps. At least that's a train that is going somewhere. Let him learn. -
If you hate the Bills why are you here?

They are flawed, but they were last year too. Can Peterman pick the passing game up to a higher level? That's going to be the question. -

Pre Season is meaningless one way or the other from a team perspective. Very few teams know what they'll be based on those games. I don't know if you were around for the super bowl years, but if you were in sure you recall the horrid pre season performances and the meltdowns that followed on radio post game shows. They ain't the Super Bowl teams level of good by far, but I suspect the current Bills will be about the same as they were last season. Average with a chance to sneak in the playoffs. -
Less concerned with O-line than most...

He had a 75 yd TD in 2016, I believe against Miami. Shady gets loose he doesn't normally get caught from behind. -

Judging Beane’s decisions so far
purple haze replied to simpleman's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
This ish is insane. Folks are really complaining and Beane has been in the job not even two years. After a 9-7 season? After he said, up front, it was going to take time to build the program up the way he and McD envision it? After he said, up front they needed to address the cap? Okay, carry on then...??♂️ -
Gotcha.

I don't take L.A. Personally at all. It's cool, but it's not "home". I take Buffalo and D.C. personally. Especially Buff though. I've had some words over the years with people who talk slick about Buff. And I havent lived there Year around since I was 6. It's like they're talking bad about me and my family. And that's a hell nah, all day long. ✋?

Sure do. The homelessness situation is out of control out here. A lot of mental illness; a lot of veterans; but a growing number of people who simply cannot afford the exorbitant housing prices, when paired with the general high cost of living. There are so many people living in cars and tent cities. I don't know what the reckoning will be but it's coming. L.A. Won't want the Olympics and World Cup events to expose this to the world.

One (maybe two) bright spots from Sunday

Charles Clay will be starting week 1. -
Teams cut projects or overpriced, under performing vets. There is no definitive help coming. Even if they pick up a guy off the street, he's likely to not be much better and he won't know the system. McD better get what they have playing better or the goose is cooked.

Who says they would need to give up any players? Maybe the Raiders don't want to take back salary. Maybe they want draft picks. But If any player goes, to me it would be Shaq. He's a DE who can play now, he's still on his rookie deal so won't put a dent in their cap. He would not be the center of a deal, but he would be a piece that would possibly save giving up a third draft pick. Watching him play the games.

See the move to Las Vegas and the shiny new stadium. The NFL business paradigm shifted long ago and many of the old guard owners were affected. Art Modell and Bud Adams moved. Spanos moved. He takes his share of heat, and understandably so, but end of day, Mr. Wilson was a true friend to Buffalo, NY.

Based on what? L.T., Bruce and Reggie White were effective into their 30's. Mack is not the average player. The start to his career puts him in the convo with those names I mentioned. He also can play multiple positions. Hasn't missed a game in his career. Folks having trepidation just choose to be afraid. There is nothing Mack has shown that would lead to a conclusion there's a cliff he's ready to fall off. There are no guarantees, true. But that's no reason not to swing for bleachers.
