  1. He's right. If the Bills offense had a pulse this game could have been won.
  2. Build the offensive line. Get speed at WR.
  3. Schopp needs a show on NPR where he can talk about culture, technology, etc. It seems to me he's not that into sports which is frustrating if you tune in to hear about sports. I find the palate of his show very limited. Buffalo deserves a sports station or hosts who are knowledgeable and passionate about sports related to Buffalo and nationally. There should never be reason for a meat or movie draft on a sports talk show. The hell those things have to do with sports?
  4. Offensive line. If that unit is inconsistent so is everything else on offense. Period.
  5. Swing pass to Shady for 12 yds
  6. Yep. And Tim Lewis is his uncle. He went to Pitt and was a first round pick of the Packers who had to retire prematurely due to a neck injury. Louis Riddick is also his cousin. I believe Ryan Lewis grew up in Seattle though. His pop worked for the Seahawks.
  7. GOOD! Mr. Yellow Flag can go. Did we have to send a pick to Carolina to get rid of him?
  8. What? That's the game you wanted to see not the game he played; e em with the mistakes he made.
  9. That Fringe player was starting. It seems a vet would help a guy like Allen. Seems there were better options to let go of. No, Kerley isn't the future, but that was the case when they signed him and when they started him last week. Ray Ray hasn't practiced fully this week. I don't know if his status had anything to do with Kerley.
  10. Again, why sign Kerley in the first place if you are committed to a rebuild? That's the issue. What is the plan? Beane's moves don't come with a dot connector. They want to win, but now that Peterman wet the bed again, they will rebuild after all?
  11. They knew this going into the season, no? Why sign him in the first place then.
  12. Good point. But with so much pressure I think coaches want things their way.
  13. Wade makes a good point. I think a lot of coaches adjust to a degree; for instance, last season the run game changed when the Bills went back to more power focused runs. That worked for what the line did better and Shady being a system defying player it worked. I think a lot of coaches adjust plays, schemes, but there's only so much they can do. they want to play a certain way and will keep bringing in players who can execute their vision. Players who they find cannot will be weeded out.
  14. I wouldn't mind Mills back as long as the Bills bring in legit starting caliber players through the draft and Free Agency to compete.
  15. I hear you but I would contend most players are system guys. Like Gaines last year was good in zone but most of the league would not want him in a press and run scheme. Yet he's a good player. The players who defy systems are the HOF or All Pro level players and they are few in number compared to the rest. Every team is chasing after them which is why athletic "traits" seem to take precedence at draft time. Allen wasn't the best QB compared to others, but that arm can do things that beats even the best game plans.
  16. You focus on parts of games or preseason games. Practice is where players earn the coaches trust. Milano flashed in games. I would bet money he entered the starting lineup when he consistently outshone Humber in practice. Cadet had started to get more run than Tolbert before he got injured. The basis of that probably began in the practice setting. Yep. Once people get fixated on a player it's hard to readjust their thinking. Sunday Groy and Miller were the worst, yet i keep hearing about Ducasse, and even Mills. ??‍♂️ Ducasse and Mills have bad moments but it's not always them. Both have gone games when they were decent/good. That said, they would be perfect swing backups.
  17. The coaches know the scheme before the draft. If they draft players who cannot execute that they are incompetent at their job. Teller is a fifth round pick for a reason. Perhaps he needs seasoning. I would guess he flashes, but is too inconsistent in the practice setting.
  18. Who said Zay said anything? Mama could have noticed something herself while watching the game.
  19. If Teller was better he would be. Why do you think a coach would keep a better player on the bench? How does that serve him/her?
  20. Lord help us. There are folks who actually believe the Bills will draft another QB in the first round in 2019? ?
  21. If Peterman showed anything at all when the games counted I wouldn't feel so strongly about it. But this is twice he's been a grease fire and got benched. Allen, even if he were a grease fire, is the future and I can accept him learning on the job. Peterman is just a waste of time. Even if he played well he would have probably gotten flipped for a pick.
  22. If McD trots Peterman out there Sunday I will be pissed. Especially after buying a plane ticket and game tickets before the season started. I don't want to see that joker Peterman on the field another second. His skills are straight, no chaser, ? He is a bridge to nowhere. Let Allen play, learn, take his adversities and overcome.
