  1. I have a strange notion that if the Bills fired McD after the season these same people ready to run the dude out of town not even two seasons in will then become the very same people who disparage the organization for lack of continuity and burning through coaches. McD might not be the answer in the end, but we don't know one way or the other after so short a time.
  2. That's doubtful. Williams isn't a proven number one, and he doesn't have first round pedigree like a Watkins does. Tate is 30 going on 31. They'll get significant raises, yes, but top of the league money? I don't see it.
  3. KB is a free agent. You trade him to get an asset. They probably aren't wanting to re-sign him and he walks for nothing in March. You aren't proving any relevant point by not trading him.
  4. Every team passed on Carr. He was a second round pick for a reason.
  5. Not necessarily. Interceptions are the result, often times, of good fortune. Fumble recoveries are also, often times, the result of good fortune with bounces. Forcing a fumble is a skill of physicality and awareness. They are not accidental.
  6. Winning a medal at the Special Olympics is an awesome thing. And many of the people competing are higher end athletes than you might imagine, at least in the track and field competition. You should go and watch if you ever get the chance to. It's a great experience.
  7. Keyshawn Johnson has a radio show out here and he called this. He said Gruden would start scapegoating players, and said Carr could be traded at some point... nothing will ever be Gruden's fault. Lo and behold... All of those players had more productive seasons than anyone the Bills let go, they are have no off field character issues we know of or consistent injury issues. Gruden doesnt seem to have a plan.
  8. Sure it makes sense. It puts them back to their original plan to let Allen sit. If you have Carr you have a young vet, who has shown at times that he can be a difference maker. If he plays to his potential consistently the Bills have years to let Allen simmer, and a trade chip that could recoup whatever pick they would give up for Carr (2nd/3rd rd pick). Carr also fits the on-field and off-field character of the process. Every GM in the league will kick the tires, Beane included, because that's part of the gig. I wouldn't anticipate the Bills making a serious move for Carr though. Cooper, I believe Beane would be serious about. Raiders ain't getting a first for Cooper, the Bills have $ to pay his new contract and they have 10 picks in April. They can spare one for a talent like Cooper; and trading for him helps them avoid the competition of Free Agency which will drive up his price.
  9. Traffic from San Diego going north through Irvine is bad too. Traffic out here is the worst and no direction is spared. Put the Raiders in Irvine folks will show up. The Chargers are a non-starter outside San Diego. Irvine, Anaheim, it won't matter. Won't be as bad as being in Carson, but it won't be good either.
  10. Irvine is ???. And I doubt the Chargers get that many fans there either. They need to go back to San Diego and work things out.
  11. I don't know. I recall Thurman starting his rookie year, same with Ruben Brown. Shane Conlan and Nate Odomes started most of their rookie years too. Eric also started some games, but he didn't have the impact of those others early on. Doesn't matter anyway the light finally came all the way on and he was a beastly player. Zay is not that type of size/speed freak, but the light can come on for him too. Corey Davis in Tennessee looks more himself this year than last year. WR is hard to play in the NFL.
  12. The top 5 WR part? Because he was definitely going toward bust territory. His first two years we very uneventful for a player picked in the first round.
  13. Chuckie has no rhyme or reason. I think Cooper is not out of the realm because Carr isn't improving, Cooper hasn't taken the next step, and I think the Raiders are looking at a long rebuild. Chuckie can save face by saying he needs to get his guys. But as we know that takes more picks and money (not tied up in too many long term contracts). Chuckie traded Mack then talks about how hard it is to rush the passer when the Raiders can't get to opposing QBs. So, anything is possible. Beane should be checking in. Don't disagree in principal, but there is something to be said about "drafting" through trade, young, undervalued talent that fits the system/culture in a new organization.
  14. Agree with you there. Those are building block, young, athletic type of players. The WRs mentioned? I don't know. I like Tate, he's a dog. Could give the O some grit.
  15. I prefer they keep him too. But we've seen how Beane operates. I've already started to try to wrap my mind around it. If they deal him it shouldn't be for any mid-round pick. And if most picks are wasted you want more of them not less.
  16. 10 picks in 2019. 11 or 12 if they deal Shady. They can get their own WRs. I don't want to see Shady dealt, but if they do, a player might not be a needed return. They take up cap space.
  17. We don't know that. Some teams get better as the season goes along.
  18. Nah, he was the one, Jabari Greer was the two and the Bills had to make a decision and chose to re-sign McGee.
  19. Sure they would. They are in win now mode and are stacked at most positions. They won't truly miss a 2nd round pick. And Howie Roseman has previously said he tried to get Shady back after he regained his authority. They wouldn't start off being willing to give up a second, but I bet Beane could get him there under the right circumstances.
  20. I wouldn't trade Shady at all, especially not for a 4th or a 5th, but in fairness, Matt Milano and Taron Johnson say hello... If the right person is making the picks, that 4th or 5th could be a cornerstone.
  21. Nice throw to Holmes downfield. Can't make it not go through his hands.
  22. Having ten picks they will definitely draft a CB or two. Just a matter of which round. Good ones can be had outside round one.
  23. Less than that. Gaines was on him for one The catch that got him 23 yds.
  24. Terrence McGee on line one for you...
