  1. I hope not, in theory. But if that is a league wide value for Mills' type of experience and production, then pay the one you know.
  2. All good. So many different outlets thes days it's hard to tell sometimes.
  3. I'm not so sure. The cap goes up every year so 4-5 million for one year might be the going rate. If he got more than a year I don't think the average dollars would be that high.
  4. Yes, I do. He's played well in stretches too. He can't play well enough consistently which is why he is a ideally a backup. If they got rid of him they would be looking for a similar player from some other team or a rookie who is a project. Might as well keep the one you know.
  5. As a starter, yes. As a back up? Don't be so sure. He might be still around come mini-camp.
  6. You still need depth and Mills would be the perfect swing OT. Plenty of starting experience and plays well in stretches. That's what a team needs as depth, at the right price of course.
  7. Maybe not. Only 30 and still playing well. No reason to believe he can't continue into the next few years, and in today's NFL that is the future. Once Allen's rookie deal is up everything gets recalibrated anyway. but I suspect, like many have said, it's Anthony Barr. And I'd be cool with that.
  8. Either of those players would be great picks. OL can be addressed in Free Agency as well as the draft.
  9. They can easily not be in on Metcalfe. What if Josh Allen or Quinnen Williams fall to 9? What if Jawaan Taylor is sitting there? What if they love Hockenson or Christian Wilkins and trade down a bit? Metcalfe has has otherworldly athleticism and potential, but all of the players I mentioned have a lot more production at their position then a Metcalfe does at his, and those are positions the Bills could also use difference makers.
  10. Giants aren't ready to leave Eli behind. They won't trade for a young vet who could unseat him. They'll draft a guy so they can say they want to develop him slowly and let Eli go out with dignity; even though they should have told him to retire last off-season or release him. He's cooked.
  11. He does, but I think drafting a QB is different than any other position. Taking a chance on Josh Allen in the top 10 is one thing. At WR it's a totally different thing. Beane just this past week he doesn't believe in a prototypical number one WR. I wouldn't be mad if he grabbed Metcalfe though. Look for guys at whatever position (but this year specifically OL, DL and TE) that has the following: * A history of production over time * High end athletic traits/size for their position * A leader on their college team * Position versatility * A known, good work ethic * A player who stacked games together over time (healthy or available) * Film that consistently shows a player who plays with a passion/motor * Clean off the field (As much as anyone can know the type of person one is) This seems to be Beane and McD's M.O. in the first three rounds of draft. Metcalfe would fit some of that. The healthy/available thing is big with this Bills regime, in general though. It all depends on Free Agency. Do they get a WR in FA or trade? Or do they focus on OL? Interesting few weeks coming up.
  12. Wilkins is the definition of what McD and Beane want in a Buffalo Bill. I think they would take him over Oliver or Gary.
  13. Gettleman didn't draft him last year when he could have. I wouldn't be so certain he wants him now, even at a discount.
  14. That entire team had issues. Cooper clearly had talent and was homegrown. I laughed at the Cowboys too for giving up a first, but Cooper, as we saw, still had the same talent. What makes you believe Gruden has any type of plan? I don't see him going after A.B. But then again who knows what that joker will do? We shall see.
  15. They didn't want to pay their young, ascending, stud WR, but they would pay an older stud WR in A.B.? I don't know...
  16. Didn't see it, I'll look for it though. Like I said, I dig Haskins. I'm a Bucks fan. I can't dispute Orlovsky's knowledge, and Haskins is clutch. But to my eye, Murray has as strong an arm, good accuracy and can also kill a team with his legs on RPO's and off-schedule plays alike. He is dynamic. If a team takes Haskins first I get it. I just believe if Murray was at least 6'0 tall more teams would grab Murray first.
  17. Based on measurables or play? I think Haskins is very good, but Murray is a more impactful player. If Murray was three inches taller I don't think it would even be a question as to being the 1st QB picked.
  18. I'm sure they will. The Chargers. And whomever the owner is will pay for all or the majority of the cost; just like other, recent NFL owners.
  19. As a Cali resident i can tell you that this is a no. Oakland can't afford a new stadium. Diego will get the Chargers back one day, but that city will not get hi-jacked be the NFL stadium committee. California won't pay for a new palace.
  20. I was just busting Promo's chops. ??
  21. You mean young and black from a different city? I mean, the East side says "hello" ??‍♂️?
