He is a universally rated 1st round pick, in one of the most exclusive professional sports leagues in the world, for a reason. I hate the lead up to the draft because players get picked apart so much it leaves people down on players when they really shouldn't be. I'd prefer Williams or Oliver too, but Wilkins is no booby prize. If the Bills take him you will be happy soon enough. He's an excellent player and has been for quite a while.

I hear you, but if the Bills can get consistent pressure up the middle that will get Hughes a lot of sacks. Murphy and Shaq would get theirs too. Hughes misses a lot of sacks because QBs have room to step up in the pocket.

Q. Williams or Ed Oliver. A disruptive force in the middle of the trenches can literally control a game.

I could rock with your scenario. An extra 2nd and 3rd would definitely lead me to think a trade back into the 1st was coming. i don't know if Sweat is still on Beane's radar due to the health issue.

Edmunds definitely needs to get stronger, but most rookies do, especially Edmunds. He's still 20. He doesn't even have his natural man strength yet. If Oliver is there he'd be my pick because an interior disruptor can control a game. But White would be awesome too. I think if Oliver is gone Beane will trade down. I don't think he would take Hockenson at 9. I agree White is gone before Bills pick. I think McD likes Edmunds size/length in the middle. But I'm sure Frazier and McD would be creative with all of them.

No. I'd put him in Lo's spot, but adjust what I ask him to do as necessary. I think Edmunds is going to be the MLB hell or high water and I'm good with that. That trio would be Uber athletic.

Good rotational RB. Shady and Gore are free Agents at end of year. He doesn't need to be a bell cow. Just needs to do well what he does well.

Maybe, but lower in the draft Metcalf's physical ability and potential at his position is more elite than any of those players. And looking at Beane's first draft, in the first round he bet on players who were raw, but athletic, physical freaks of nature with potential to dominate at their positions. Ed Oliver fits that profile too, although he is not raw and has a history of production which is why I believe Beane would grab Oliver at 9, but not Metcalf. But lower in round 1? Hard to pass on Metcalf's potential.

He's an excellent player. And they would be able to redshirt him until he's fully healthy.
