  1. Because those people simply do not care. If they can't see it they can't believe it. Or it's a "liberal" thing. It's such a simple request and people are out here throwing fits. If we get into another shutdown because of the spread then what?
  2. Prescott is younger than Dalton and still can grow. He's better than Tyrod too. No QB is "worth" what Prescott will get, but that's business in the NFL. Next QB up gets paid. Mahomes will get paid more and on and on.
  3. They can pay all of them. But it will start to show on the defensive side of the ball and overall team depth. I'm not sure they can trade Prescott and get the value they would most likely want. And they don't have a better option waiting in the wings. Dalton has proven to only get a team to a certain level. Paying Cooper and Elliott is a waste if they don't sign Prescott back. They won't be bad enough to get a perceived top QB in the draft. Jerry effed this one up.
  4. Exactly. I know hockey has fans all over the world, but in America it is a niche sport. The money will never be the same as the NFL or NBA. Probably MLB too, although that league is doing its best to marginalize itself. MLS might be as popular as the NHL.
  5. Cook deserves his money, but the Bills shouldn't be paying it. They have too many contracts coming up. Tre, Dawkins, Milano, Edmunds and hopefully Allen. And they have one good RB in Singletary and a potentially good one in Moss.
  6. Might as well leave now and save yourself the angst.
  7. Addison has been better player all around. Now he is older. But I think Beane and McD think they will get more for the same money. I liked Shaq though. I thought Murphy was 7 by himself. But no, Clowney wouldn't want to come anywhere for 7 million. But at this late date he might not get much more if he wants to be on a winning team. The playoff teams have spent money already or have players in-house they need to pay.
  8. Agreed. But, they could always let Murphy go, Smith and probably another couple guys without killing depth. Roster seems to be in great shape.
  9. Wasn't sure so I treated it seriously.
  10. Killing in the Name. Raising consciousness/challenging authority is by its very nature political. Many have been killed for doing just that.
  11. Tom is right. Scott doesn't listen well if he's thinking Tom's music is apolitical. ?
  12. No it's not. The wall is a reflection of the contributions of said players to the organization, whatever they may be. Has nothing to do with the fans.
  13. Analysts are used to the Patriots winning. Simple as that. They will have to see the Patriots beaten to change their expectations.
  14. Get Cam Newton and the Bills have best backup in the league.
  15. 15 yards is too short. Should be 20 or 25.
  16. I like Chris Brown. Tasker can be hard to listen to; it just seems like speaking for long periods of time isn't his strong suit. Glad will bring some youth. Murphy seemed tired of the BS that came with some callers.
  17. You're right, I don't know. Which is why I said there are things you MIGHT not think about because it MIGHT not be your experience. I didn't make it a racial issue. I noted a truism based on historical trends where black men and white women are concerned and physical confrontation and/or disputed facts are involved that might have legal ramifications. No color in sports? That's not true either. But I won't get into those plethora of examples and how they are related to historical trends. God bless you. See you in a different thread. ✌?
  18. There are people who live a life with concerns you might not think about because it might not be your experience. Some can dismiss historical trends. Others can't. We all are human; even more reason to not ignore the history of others, although your reasons might be altruistic.
  19. My point was that the players people are saying are missing are already potentially on the roster. They need to take the next step to get to the point where they might be included on this list. Also, playing well in national spotlights will feed the perception that they might belong. Tre White played well on Thanksgiving and Sunday night last season. Helps public perception and that of writers who don't watch the Bills like Bills fans do.
  20. I don't think Diggs will ever have that low number of yards. A DC can't really sell out to stop him because Smoke and Beas are too good already. They've proven over the years they will hurt a defense. Also, Diggs is good and getting open against zone or man. If he did have a clunker of a game i suspect Josh had a clunker (i.e. Missing open throws down field).
  21. The top end talent was drafted already. It's up to them to step into that national conversation. Winning and playing well on national TV will help cement that status if they do. Allen, Edmunds, Dawkins and Oliver are supposed to be that talent. White is already there. Diggs is already there. Milano was supposed to be a player that hopefully contributed in some way based on draft position, but he's included himself in the list of difference makers. I'd argue Edmunds is close to being top end. He's very good already and still has another level to reach. If Allen, Dawkins and Oliver go from flashes to consistent play in and play out the Bills won't have much trouble with any team.
  22. The woman was out of hand. The pills and alcohol loosened her inhibitions to an untenable degree. Flight personnel should have stepped in when made aware. If you are the NFL guy you don't want your name in the news for even the perception that you mistreated/abused this woman in anyway. If you are two black men, you do not want the perception that you've done something to this white woman, who is "drunk" and her perceptions are off. They were right to go to the flight personnel.
  23. Shocked? He knows they work the Bills. That's all he really needs to know. I've never interviewed for a job and knew all the places my interviewer worked. As a conversation piece I might ask their background during the interview and find out that way. And many of these college players don't see a ton of NFL games either. A lot of programs watch film on Sundays.
