I hear you. But the better they get the more night games there will be; especially since they’re good with a young QB who is not only good, but very entertaining in how he plays the game. I hate 4 pm games. Love the night games though.

My guesss: @ Chiefs on SNF (playoff rematch) @ Buccaneers on MNF (Allen/Brady) Dolphins @ home on MNF (division leader v challenger w/young QB.) Colts @ home SNF (playoff rematch)

I know where the stadium is. I go to church in Inglewood. I know people who live in Inglewood. The development will become a ripple eventually and Black and Brown residents will start getting priced out. This same phenomenon has happened in other big cities as generationally neglected areas became “developed”. I get why the mayor of Inglewood pushed for the stadium development;. Jobs created, etc. But will those types of jobs pay for the rise in costs the development will ultimately lead to? Inglewood is in a good location. Freeway close by. Get to the beach and the airport relatively quickly. That stadium is likely just the beginning not an ending. WNY has been a prisoner of its own lack of vision and follow through. That’s nothing new. We’ll see how this stadium talk goes. All that said I’m going to a football thread. Don’t mean to get diverted by real life on this message board.

Billy Joe Hobert. At least care enough to know the plays your team runs. Donte Whitner. Not for football reasons. All the Twitter stuff rubbed me the wrong way. Sometimes you say too much. Quit while you’re behind. -
Watson, Adams, Rudolph, Gladney

The NFL isn’t special in this area. We don’t hear about all the stories of violence/criminality in broader society either. It’s a societal/human problem more than an NFL/sports issue specifically. CTE is an issue. So is schizophrenia and other mental illnesses that aren’t addressed until someone winds up on the news (or doesn’t). -

There’s thousands of players who weren’t in trouble In the last few years and the last few weeks. violence/trouble is a human problem. The NFL will have its share just like broader society. The NFL isn’t special in that regard. -

Can you tell us how many active players are on NFL rosters? 4 stories does not an issue make for the league. The percentage of players not “in trouble” is significantly higher. -
Dean Marlowe visiting Lions (update - signed)

And you literally don’t know who that player is. I never said he couldn’t be replaced. I said I don’t know if it will be easy to replace him; meaning finding someone who will play at Marlowe’s same level because he played well for them in his role. -
Owusu-Koramoah. He probably goes long before 30. But I can see Beane trading up to 20 or so. Beane will move to get his guy, that and this draft is about quality not quantity. Can the guy help them right now? Late round picks will have a hard time making this roster.

The only draft pick never got close to the same defensive snaps as the journeyman. His experience only matters if he plays well. No one beat him out who was brought to add competition to his roster level. 🤷🏾♂️ -

Yep. Josh Thomas, Garrett Taylor, Abraham Wallace. Also Jaquan Johnson who is a draft pick. No one beat Marlowe out. Marlowe was a UDFA himself. Turned himself into a pretty good player. -

Yep. If I recall correctly one was on practice squad at points a couple years ago. He was a UDFA. jaquan Johnson hasn’t played in front of him either. I’m just saying Marlowe is a pretty good player. Don’t know that he’s easily replaceable - unless Beane is about to make a significant investment early in the draft, which I could see him doing. -

Don’t know about that. If he was easily replaceable he would have been replaced. Bills have brought young safeties to camp every year. He was never beat out. -

Which Shawn Wade? The one I saw this past season was underwhelming. -
They have NCAA tournament games at the arena. They have concerts there too. Are those events programmed at the appropriate venue? I’d say so. I don’t see 40,000 people showing up to NCAA tournament games unless it’s the Final Four. Would Buffalo get that part of the tournament? Doubtful at this point. How many musical acts are stadium worthy? Not that many compared to arenas if you’re using that as part of Return on Investment. Buffalo has a convention center now that isn’t used that much from what I can gather. It’s an old building that needs to be replaced. That might help get more events in the city in general. I just don’t see a retractable roof on the horizon. It’s possible; I know some fans want it or assume it will be part of a new building. I’m just skeptical. Folks need to worry less about a roof and more about the public transit and railway access if a stadium is put downtown. Time for the city to step into the 21st century.

Adjust kicking and screaming. In past years Buffalo was not known for forward thinking. Of course a new stadium needs to happen. Love the stadium, but it's old and to keep putting money into it doesn't really make sense. Eventually it won't help. It's already been said that because of the original architecture the concourses can't be expanded. Folks can always find a place to get fall down drunk, bang in a parking lot and jump through a table. It doesn't bother me, but there are folks who don't go to games because of it. My bet is the Bills, as a business entity wants to lose the antics. Get ready to go downtown in the next several years.

I hate watching games at Ford Field. Looks like a mausoleum. Low light and sterile. I keep seeing others talk about a roof to attract other events. There aren't that many other events to put in a football stadium. And to add a retractable roof raises the costs exponentially for all of those who worry about the price tag and its effect on local taxes. Build a stadium like Seattle with the overhangs on either side.
