Will Gabe Davis ever challenge the #1 WR spot?
purple haze replied to ChronicAndKnuckles's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Disagree. Depends on his route running and ability to catch contested passes. Michael Thomas ran slightly slower at the combine than Davis did and he’s a number one. Davis is in a room full of great route runners to learn from, he has excellent hands and body control. I could see him growing into a one. But Diggs will be around for a while, health permitting, so it won’t be necessary. -
Yep and WNY will get its stadium like the city got there baseball stadiums. Might take some inside pool trade-off’s between politicos, but I’m not concerned. Everyone knew a new stadium was on the horizon when the Pegula’s bought the team. This isn’t out of left field. Folks need to calm down and stop constantly worrying. It’s a drag.

She didn’t get hit until after the other guy squared off on him and she jumped in between them, swinging. She did not get hit before that. -

Same thing happened last season and he was fine when the real games started. -

He didn’t hit her back though. She got hit when she aggressively jumped between the guy and her boyfriend when they were engaged. Don’t know why some keep overlooking that part. Context is everything. -

He got knocked out because of her foolishness. The least she could do is try to look out for him in the end. If she could control herself nobody would’ve gotten hit. -
Yep.

Ultimately, ideally, no one should be in anyone’s face for things to escalate. The boyfriend should have gotten off his tail when his woman was putting herself in harm’s way jumping in some strangers’ face. She didn’t get hit until she jumped in the middle of the two men, swinging at the guy, and made herself a different type of threat; she made it two on one. The guy doesn’t know what the two of them are capable of. It’s ugly. And it’s unfortunate. Hopefully, lessons are learned all around. But that woman is bad news for her boyfriend. -

She slapped him and he didn’t even hit her at that point. He drew back his fist which caused her to back off. He didn’t go after her. But her boyfriend squared up and drew the other guy’s attention. Then her dumb azz jumped in the middle and looks to have tried to hit him again with her cap while he was engaged with the boyfriend. That’s when she got punched. At that point she already slapped him once. Now he’s got two people in his face pushing and poking and whatnot? Obviously she was choosing to continue being aggressive while two men were engaged. The outnumbered guy doesn’t have time to pick and choose at that point. I’m not getting knocked out by some dude because I’m trying to fend off his belligerent, violent girlfriend. It’s a uncontrolled street fight at that point. I would assume the worst that could happen and I would fight like that. Period. -
Those polls don’t matter. The polls that matter are the ones the Pegula’s did. And the most important question wouldn’t be roof/no roof. How much would you be willing to pay for tickets is the more important question. Folks want something for nothing. Put a roof on ticket prices will go up more than they already will. Can most fans afford an exponential hike in ticket prices? Ultra-expensive PSL’s? There are reasons outside of preference that would lead the Pegula’s to build an open air joint. That reason is cost compared to projected returns. Does them no good to propose a facility that most of their fans can’t afford to enter or that the available local corporate sponsorships won’t help to pay off the debt. It makes no sense for the state/county either.

13-4 or 14-3. Washington will be a tricky game. Bad matchup for the o-line if they don’t improve on the interior. Allen better wear track shoes. If Fitzmagic shows up they could win. Think they split with the Pats Bucs could be a “L” in a close one. I think they beat the Chiefs and the Titans. I really want to say 14-3, but the extra game is tough and could lead to one of those stupid losses later in the year.

From what’s been reported it seems the decision is made. Open air-Orchard Park. It’s more cost effective. A roof adds hundreds of millions onto the cost. And the figure for a downtown stadium I saw in one of the articles, I believe Tim Graham’s in The Athletic, was 2.5 Billion. I was a proponent of a downtown stadium and that estimation changed my mind. Open air-Orchard Park is keeping fans in mind. That combo will significantly lessen the public expenditures some are already upset about.
