  1. The original stadium report noted that seats will be covered to shield fans from the elements. “Competitive reasons” are a red herring. Both teams play at the same time. Go win the game. Weather was great in Jacksonville; perfect conditions: 6 points. Perfect weather in Tampa: 3 points in the first half. They came back, eventually, because they executed better. Not because of the weather. MNF, the Pats executed. The Bills didn’t, especially inside the red zone. Nothing to do with weather. The marketplace is speaking to an appearance by the sorry, no name, Falcons. And that stadium will likely be mostly full just like it was for Carolina. 65,000 people showed up. The way some on the board talk one would think the stadium is half full or worse after November. The new stadium, as reported, being 60-62,000 would mean a few thousand of those fans won’t even be able to get in in future years.
  2. The season is trending the same for the entire league. Buffalo is not the only city that gets cold. If a player plays in the NFL he’s playing cold weather games no matter where he plays home games.
  3. The original report stated the stadium would have an overhang to protect fans from the elements. That doesn’t seem to be enough for many people though. I just look forward to the negotiations being completed and a design for the new stadium shown. I can’t wait for the gnashing of teeth we get when it’s open air like PS&E said it would be.
  4. He brought pass rushers constantly running past him and 5 penalties too; and one of those penalties was dumb as #%^*. Optics don’t mean Jack. I hope Dawkins can play next week and Brown can go back where he belongs for this season anyway.
  5. How? He gonna stop running the ball?
  6. I get that. But Brady only went there because Belichick pushed him out the door. Tre White, I know, likes that southern weather, but he re-signed. Taron Johnson is from Northern California. He re-signed. Milano is from Florida. Re-signed. For most, enjoying where they play (having success) and getting paid will trump weather concerns.
  7. John Brown, Emmanuel Sanders and Cole Beasley were all FA’s. They all did and do well playing in OP. 🤷🏾‍♂️ Then it’s an irrelevant argument in support of a roof. They’ll come to work where the money is, just like any other person.
  8. And yet they show up and play anyway. Those checks are on time. You know that type of roof will probably cost even more.
  9. Hitler was malevolence personified, but he couldn’t function without willing followers. And lot of followers at that. I hope the German people look at Hitler, but also consider their countrymen and women and why they bought what Hitler was selling at that time. To pin all that evil on Hitler alone is dangerous because it ignores the evil that could be living next door.
  10. I don’t think he has as hard of time as you believe.
  11. Why do you believe that? Where’s your study? I would bet it’s the opposite If they’re actually from WNY. Fans who are from other places, I could see choosing a road game. But most of the Bills fans I meet are from the region or have family ties to the region and want to go home.
  12. You don’t know that. Swinging big is putting the stadium where other development can be done in the vicinity now or in the future. That potential development ain’t happening in OP and even if it did makes no difference to the area at large. Downtown, most likely, comes with infrastructure improvements that benefit the community year around. Jerry Jones came out advocating for OP. PSE prefers OP. OP is the likely location and If so, fine. But downtown could be fine too if the state wants to kick in that extra money. I’m just beyond tired of hearing Buffalonians constantly talk about why something can’t or shouldn’t happen. I’m not with that mindset.
  13. From my understanding, Federal funds would only be on the table for infrastructure not the actual stadium itself or other development surrounding it. But if roads/bridges/tunnels are being expanded, created or adjusted that’s beneficial for thee tire community outside of a stadium.
  14. The odds are on Orchard Park, but I think the state might actually shock us for once. The fact downtown keeps coming up, Schumer talking about federal money, etc. is interesting. The state/county could have hopped on the 1.4 Billion request and called it a day. Now the acting Governor is talking about a new state study being done when the state completed one years ago. Seems they’re trying to find a way to go downtown if possible, but a lot of moving parts and money to that. The old Buffalo mentality, i.e. resist change, why we can’t do it, do what’s easiest, live in the past, will see us with a really nice new joint in OP. OP is cool. I grew up going out there. The rock pile was before my time. A new mentality, i.e., swing big, make it work, on to the future, will see us with a really nice new joint downtown, along with new/expanded roads and rail service (most likely) which benefits the city outside football season. Either way, I’ll make my yearly pilgrimage to be where the Bills are.
  15. If it goes downtown it will be along with infrastructure additions/changes. Don’t judge the potential based on what exists down there now.
  16. Yep. Always been turnover prone and had inconsistent awareness. The difference is the players he’s playing against now are much better than the teams at the NCAA level and he can’t make up for those mistakes as easily. He’d make a good backup though.
  17. No reason to run a different play. If Dawkins gets dozed on your option play, like he did the play they ran, it wouldn’t work either. It wasn’t the play it was the execution. Allen is 6’5, 240lbs. He should get a yard. Most times he does.
  18. Bills fans are everywhere. Southern California is deep with Bills Mafia.
  19. Beane can do both because that’s what GMs always do. Look for the next player. In fairness they’ve not been able to replace Wallace after 3 years or so and they’ve given him competition. At some point fans have to accept the fact Wallace is a good player.
  20. Lord... Some unhappy folks over there. 🤔
  21. If that’s the case what’s the point of doing it again? Would circumstances have changed that much? Seems like a waste of money.
  22. The state should’ve done this study already. They knew a new stadium was going to be coming.
