You want to get rid of a RB who ran for 1000 2x behind a weak offensive line, 24 years old and having two years left on a reasonable contract because he got suspended last year, you don't like him and a free agent pick up and rookie looked good (they did do well) going against back ups? You don't have any room to talk about logic. You make no sense whatsoever. You are entitled to not make sense, but what you say makes no sense. I thought they should have kept Bell and if they kept Simpson put Bell on the PS which is probably what will happen for him anyway. No need to trade Lynch for what would amount to peanuts. He's a good player.

Ravens cut Troy Smith - per Schefter tweet

I wouldn't mind seeing them bring on Troy. But depends on how tied they are to Brohm. -
Steve Johnson, Peerless Price, Josh Reed, Roscoe Parrish all draft picks...

The Bills Should Trade for Giants Backup Rhett Bomar***
purple haze replied to Dr. Zaius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He didn't leave because of Bradford. He got put out because of a job he got paid for in the summer where he didn't actually do any work. -
Bell stuck up for Wood. N.E. is better because they've beaten the Bills for, what, 13 straight games,; and many of those were straight butt whupping's. They have a better QB, better line play on both sides of the ball and better coaching when compared to our past coaches. NY and Miami are New York and Miami, big names little results, but sexy locales. The Bills can and will compete with both of those teams this season. Health being even, I do not believe we finish last in the division or close to worst in the league. Might not be more than 8-8 or 7-9, but that tells you what I think of the hype surrounding the Jets and Fins. I would say the Bills pick anywhere from 9-14 in the draft.
-
Would you rather go 7-9 or 1-14?
purple haze replied to beggar13's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I want to see the Buffalo Bills win as many games as they possibly can. if that's 7-9 then so be it. Losing is never a remedy for a true competitor! I cannot even believe a fan would rather the team be terrible in hopes of getting a pick in the draft that may or may not wind up being any good. I know we are all frustrated with the past several years, but as a fan we cannot lose sight of what's important and that is the team winning. Tom Brady was a sixth round pick. Montana went in the 3rd round. Warren Moon was not even drafted. A top ten QB is no guarantee of anything. I would rather see them win especially with all the slick talking prognosticators who just know the Bills won't do anything and are terrible. yeah, right. THEY WILL SEE... -
Why is he douchebag? If he earned the money and wants to buy a 50,000 earring that's his business. Doesn't make him a bad person and if it's worth more than many households annual income that has nothing to do with him.

You aren't serious. How would he be an upgrade? He hasn't won any games has he? Fitz has at least done that.

So, When Do We Get a New Stadium? *****
purple haze replied to Dr. Zaius's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The money year around can be connected to what is built into and surrounding the stadium. The actual stadium bowl itself won't get that much use whether it is open or closed. How many music acts do you think are big enough to attract 40-70,000 spectators? What type of convention will call for people to sit in the seats of a stadium? I think what should be done is build restaurants into the stadium. Build a museum into the stadium (maybe move the Buffalo Sports HOF there). Run the subway line out there. Put a mall/multi-plex on the stadium grounds, a nice 3000 seat theater so a broader cross-section of musical acts can be booked there or stage plays, motivational conferences or special events. All of that would be part of the stadium development and therefore part of the stadium. That's how money can be legitimately made year around. Cincy, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, NY, NE, Chicago, Philly have NO DOMES. And none are needed in Buffalo. If the planning is done correctly. A big IF in NYS I know, but here's hoping. -
There is always a reason. You just don't know what they are. Nor should you. If you know so much go put in a resume and get a job in the front office so we can reap the benefits of your vastly superior scouting and GMing skills. LoL

Good list. Batten and Easley are on IR so I don't think they can go on the PS. IN fact I think that's WHY they were put on IR. So they wouldn't take up a roster spot while they recuperate, but can't contribute on the field and so they wouldn't have to be waived. Easley at least would be claimed quick fast. Donald Jones will be on the PS I think. He's shown a lot in practice. I don't think Simpson is eligible for PS because he was on the Colts roster last year. I agree on Lankster. Hardy? Maybe.

Easley could have returned.
purple haze replied to Wilson from Gamehendge's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Crowell got injured in Tampa Bay and is now in the UFL. Poz and McKelvin were going to miss huge chunks of time. You need players who can actually help in games. Not taking up roster spots for two months and can't contribute. And because "sources" say Easley could have come back does not make it true. It also could be he could have come back but risked further set back if it was injured again. Playing fantasy football doesn't make us experts on injuries or how a team deals with injuries. And today's media is not the most reliable. Just sayin'. Think of him and Batten as two extra draft choices for next season. They get a year to get stronger and learn the pro lifestyle. Not a bad thing. Can't have folks taking up roster spots for chunks of time and not being able to contribute. You mean Bulaga who is playing guard when he comes back from being injured? That Bulaga? LoL. -
Cornell Green is awful!!!!!!!
purple haze replied to Johnny Hammersticks's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
EVERY team picks up guys the fans don't like. Not just the Bills. Guys are usually cut for a reason, but teams still need depth. Jammal Brown is just now coming back from that injured hip he had. Who knows how he will respond over a 16 game season. And if the Bills paid him a lot of money and he got hurt you would be on here whining about how they could sign a guy who was injured all last year and pay him all that money. Just let the season play out before you go off the deep end. -
He doesn't have to start to have a major impact. Don't worry, he will be on the field in many capacities. You will see him so much, if he's not starting, you will think he is. Flanker, slot, wildcat, RB, Returns and as a decoy. He will touch it 20 times a game at least and defenses will think he might touch it 30.

Do your see a pattern here?
purple haze replied to Bleed Bills Blue's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Stop holding on to the past negativity about the O-Line. They have taken a few lumps this preseason, but by and large they have performed fairly well. Much improved from a year ago along the starting front. No deluge of holds and false start penalties. I think they've given up two sacks from the starting O-line. There is a lot of improvement there so far. Not perfect, but much better. Good enough for the offense to sustain drives and score points. Not something that occurred with any regularity last season. So all of those are reasons for positivity. Hopefully, they continue to improve and take that into the regular season. As far as the Defense until we see how they incorporate blitz packages and stunts we won't know how their pass rush will be. It could very well be a strength. Problem is we won't know until we know. Just like the Special Teams. Coaching can cause vast improvement or drastic regression. It was good for Nix to get an offensive minded head coach who had a track record of success at coaching a variety of offenses in a variety of capacities. Gailey wasn't the sexy pick, but barring Shanahan or Cowher, was a good choice. -
They will. They are playing very basic. I think we will see more stunts and blitzes come regular season. That will help and also cause confusion for QB's; get their completion percentages a bit lower.
-
Bills haven't shown even a little bit of their offensive plans. Spiller will be lined up in the slot, out wide; there willl be two or sometimes three backs in the backfield at times. There is a lot that can be done. And there are enough carries and receptions to go around provided the Bills are maintaining possession of the ball.
-
David Nelson has looked better than all the WR's outside of Lee. You think he's getting cut?
-
When did you see Bell get beat? I didn't. I saw Green and Levitre get beat though on that sack.

The truth is the light. Preeeaaaach... All of my favorite teachers/professors were the one's who were hardest on me. -
That makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. They will be counting on the running game this season. No reason to trade a young, talented back because some fans don't like him. This is not good thinking at all.
