  1. The Bills haven't shown interest in anyone. Nix said the type of players they were looking for in FA and the draft. Blogs and reporters filled in the names. It's tampering for any team to mention a guy before March 13th. Stevie will have plenty of options if Nix doesn't sign him before then.
  2. LoLoLoL. He can get it for free if his game is right. No reason to pay for it.
  3. 3 million isn't big money at all. It's the going rate for a kicker with Lindell's stats/years in the league.
  4. No. Every team will play a prime time game. Be it Thursday, Sunday or Monday night.
  5. This list would change depending on what goes on in FA, but here goes: 1. Upshaw 2. Coples 3. Ingram 4. Kirkpatrick 5. Jeffrey/Floyd
  6. Nike doesn't make Maryland's uniform. Maryland is outfitted by Under Amour.
  7. They didn't waste picks. Most of their picks on D can play in either defense. And they played a lot of 43 last year anyway.
  8. They will get a night game depending on who they add in FA. If they were to keep Stevie and get a Vincent Jackson or Dwayne Bowe or a Mario Williams, etc. They will definitely get a Monday night game. Sunday night? Doubt it.
  9. I hope you're right. And on a side note, The C's?? Man, they are in trouble for years going forward. Rondo, Bradley and what else?
  10. At a certain point a coach can only do so much. The players play the game. The truth? The Colts brass acquired better talent at WR than they did on the oline the past few years. Sean Kugler coached the Bills Oline which was a terrible unit. He goes to Pittsburgh and they go to the Super Bowl. Is he all of a sudden a better coach? Not that the Steelers line was that great that year, but they were good enough. About talent. Once a team has talent then you can look more at the coach. Like Wade Phillips in Dallas. Not a bad coach, but there was too much talent across the board for them to be underachieving.
  11. Probably not. Unless he has a history of failed drug tests it won't effect him that much. The only thing he has to worry about is not testing positive for it between now and the draft or getting caught with anything else between now and the draft. If he doesn't and he performs well at the combine and pro day he will go in the first 15 like he was always going to. You think he's the only one scouts/executives in the NFL think bake?
  12. No he didn't. He made his share of really good plays. He missed some others. All in all he played a good game. He's gone on to another team. Let it go.
  13. No way he should have kept Malcolm Jenkins on Vernon Davis one on one at the end of the 4th. He was killing dude the whole game one on one.
  14. Carrington will be going into his third year. I doubt he's going anywhere any time soon. Folks need to be more patient. Some players take time to develop and Carrington was coming from a small program to boot. He has talent. Let it develop before trying to run him out of town.
  15. Avril would be a good get for the Bills. But I'm not surprised the Lions want to resign him. Will see if they can. But this is why teams are better off drafting their own and resigning the ones who are difference makers. People hate to hear it, but Nix is right. Build through the draft. FA is no guarantee. 1. That a player will play as well with his new team and 2. That players will even make it to the FA period.
  16. It is so easy in hindsight. We could play this game with every team in every league. The truth is Aaron Williams was a great pick at a position of need and fit in with the Bills plan to bolster their defense. The Bills thought Fitz was the guy and that Dalton wasn't appreciably better or they would have taken him. Williams very well could end up being better at his position than Dalton is at his. Come back in a few years and lets discuss it then. It's not about one season of work. So tired of this everything has to happen right away mentality. A guy is great if he plays one good game. He's terrible if he plays one bad game. A career is a marathon not a sprint. Williams and Dalton could both wind up being not so great or they both could be HOF's. The tale will be told down the line. I like Williams and some of the flashes we saw of his potential. His cover skills, his aggression in the run game, etc. Dalton also looks good so far. Good for him and the Bengals. His success doesn't mean the Bills were wrong to take Williams.
  17. How many 'Bama games have you watched? Kirkpatrick is a stud and very well might be drafted before the Bills pick. Don't analyze based on one game.
  18. Modkins is being groomed to be the OC in time. This is something Gailey and Nix seem to believe in; grooming future personnel. Inge is hired as an assistant DL coach. Modkins is being groomed to be an OC. Stan Kwan, assistant Special Teams coach, Bobby Johnson Assistant OLine coach. Whaley is Asst. GM now, but the GM in waiting. Not a bad way to operate. Build talent from within.
  19. Playmakers or players who can score from anywhere on the field or get big chunks of yardage in one play are not luxuries. EVERY Team in the league is looking for that guy. When the Bills picked CJ was the best player left on the board bar none. And they had only Lee Evans on the team at the time who was a true game breaking type talent. And that was limited because he could only do it in one type of way.
  20. Stevie doesn't drop a lot of balls. He catches most of the balls thrown to him and it's not even close. And VJ can catch balls underneath as well. But with the Bills that's what Stevie's forte is. Garcon would be a good pick up though. Or Meachem or Manningham. The Bills need a guy to stretch the field. Stevie and Nelson can do the underneath stuff as well as Fred and CJ.
  21. WHY? The coach doesn't play. The players are the thing. Get better talent than the Dolphins and the Bills will be fine. And the Jets don't build the right way. Neither did the Redskins. What Super Bowls have they won? Calm down dude. Don't jump off the ledge yet. LoL Why wouldn't he? He's from L.A. and played at USC. Sure he wouldn't mind that much.
  22. Most teams run spread formations throughout a game these days. Four and five wides or three wides and RB motioning out wide. Sign of the times. No big deal. No pass rush is the problem with this defense not the scheme. Players make the scheme.
  23. The Bills are not doomed. They can win. Win and they can get anybody they want to. But the truth of it is no team should build itself through FA. Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Baltimore, Indianapolis, NE, they draft a majority of their team. It's more important for the Bills to develop and pay their own homegrown talent. Don't worry about recruiting FA's. Worry about the draft and retaining the right homegrown talent. That's where a teams' wins truly come from.
  24. Not a bad wishlist. But Cliff Avril is a talented 43 DE who would fit in, age wise, with the Bills team as it is currently constructed. Mathis is older, but wouldn't be a bad signing.
  25. Fleener would be cool. Dwayne Allen from Clemson would be very cool. Jackson would be nice, but don't see it happening. Meachem or Manningham gives them talent, youth and speed on the other side of Stevie without an exorbitant contract.
