  1. Exactly. I like Kiko, but I thought he was getting overplayed a bit, and that #legendofkiko was more important than two ACL tears, and hip surgery in the past four or five years. Woods is a tough dude, great route runner and really good hands. He's the perfect compliment to Sammy. Bills dealt Kiko from a position of strength. Bradham and Brown made Kiko the obvious choice. Trade Rob and Bills would have to take a WR in the draft, when we need to draft OL/DL/LB, or sign another one in FA who is not as good, or cheap (Rob still on rookie deal.) Now next year if a trade for Brees or Rivers is possible, Rob is probably a player who will have to be included.
  2. 15 years no playoffs. I don't care about 5 years from now. 5 years from now they will do what every team in the league has to do eventually, and that's make a couple hard decisions and re-tool. They play games in 2015, that's what I'm focused on. And even with an unsettled QB situation they are still built well for a playoff run.
  3. McCoy is a proven difference maker. He is proven production year in and year out. Just because it's considered a deep RB class, just because analytics says a team can find a guy in the draft, does not mean whoever the Bills drafted would be productive, or productive enough right now. But you're right. In this "Value" era, most seem more concerned with external factors won't like the trade. I don't think it was an act of desperation to get McCoy though. I think they believe he will be a difference maker, and pose matchup problems for defenses because he has for most of his career.
  4. There will be cameras at his home. He will be interviewed by a reporter on site. He will be imterviewed by anchors via camera. People making this an issue just don't like Winston, and that's fine, but cop to it. Don't make issues out of nothing. He'll be getting plenty of face time on draft night and the next day.
  5. But is Harvin on deck? I thought he was going to visit the Pats?
  6. He is good. But worth 7+ based on his career to date? Probably not. Is he worth 7 + based on what he's shown to date added to Roman's system and his potential utlization? HELL YEAH.
  7. Well FA just started on the 11th and he's visiting on the 12th so they're probably serious. I don't recall seeing one either, but we SHOULD have. He does it exceedingly well. Maybe the injuries he played with is why we didn't. Hopefully, that is incorporated into the plan this season.
  8. Tomlinson would be nice. Don't know if he would last to 50 though.
  9. They should be. It's a violent sport. Odds are he gets hit in the head again sooner or later, then what? That's why I didn't want him, even though he's a good player. We should all remember Kevin Kolb was supposed to start, and then... He's a good player. But remember this: he could be more in Buffalo than he was in MIami. Roman features his TE's in ways the Dolphins don't. He's athletic, can create matchup problems, is physical with the ball in his hands. He's good, not great. But Roman's use of him could take him to the next level. And in today's rising cap, every free agent is going to get paid crazy money. Lee Smith got, what, 3 mill? LEE SMITH...
  10. I don’t think so. Too many injuries. Three pectoral injuries since he’s been in the league. Agree with you, but the problem about Orakpo is, even though he would be cheaper, he is likely to get injured again. Same reason I’m not high on Jordon Cameron, although I love his talent.
  11. At this point we just need people who can block. If they decide paying Iupati is worth that so be it. But I think they are going to get a couple O-linement in FA. An OG and a RT.
  12. I don’t think he’s saying he slacked off. I think there is a marked difference between where he was at Alabama and being a professional. There are no classes, no NCAA rules limits on time spent playing and practicing. This is these guys jobs. He probably didn’t know how to work like a professional works. How to use time wisely. How to take care of his body the way a professional does, how to truly prepare the way professionals do, etc. I think his new regiment is combination of that factor and embarrassment at not having made any impact whatsoever. All he has known is success from High School through College. To get a whupping like he was getting in camp last year probably killed his confidence. He’s not used to losing, or looking bad. But his response to it is good sign and doesn’t surprise me at all.
  13. Blockbuster version: Darrelle Revis Brian Bulaga Jordan Cameron Justin Blalock Kenrick Ellis The economical version: Justin Blalock Doug Free Jake Locker Jermaine Gresham Kenrick Ellis
  14. I like Spikes too, but you're trippin'. Spikes never been faster than Harris. LoL...
  15. There are better situations he can find. He's not leaving Houston to come to another team with an unsettled QB situation at his age. And he's not worth paying the amount of money it would take to make him forget about the unsettled QB situation either.
  16. I have to agree with this. It doesn't make sense, at this point, for Hughes not to explore the market. So part of me says the Bills dropped the ball. This should have been done weeks ago. But then a bigger part of me has a gut feeling the Bills have a plan of attack for free agency that would be hampered by brining Hughes back over a certain amount of money and they're willing to let him walk to keep the plan in motion.
  17. Bills don't have to sign him for 7 mil/year. Dolphins have only committed to 1 year at 7mil. That doesn't mean they want to pay, say 6 million per year over the course of a 24 million contract. Bills offer 4 years/ 24 million, Dolphins might not match. The killer is the up to one week the Phins would get to match.
  18. Hmmmmm... That's not a bad scenario. But you know how the league is. They might not want to let him go for so cheap. Especially if there are other teams trying to get in on that dance.
  19. I get your sentiment. But trades aren't that easy to make. Someone has to be on the block worth trading for. In your Foles scenario, what would you give up if you were Whaley? And what leads you to believe Foles is that good? Agree with you. McCown got over because he was available now. If he were let go on March 7th, I don't believe he would have gotten that type of money. He would have been one of ten fighting for a gig in a buyer's market.
  20. ^ This. These moves here will set the Bills up for a playoff run. Clay is the type of talent Roman would want. He can do a bit of everything and provides mis-matches in the passing game due to his athleticism. Don't like the Cameron option strictly because of the concussion issue. Kolb should be a good teacher for Whaley and us fans. Remember, EJ wasn't supposed to start right away... OL signing I don't think will be Iupati. I'm thinking Blalock, Herremans, Evans if released. I tend to think they will go older, proven, effective veteran at OG because they have Richardson and Kuondijo in waiting. Two years behind a true vet who is good at their job, they should be ready to rock. I wouldn't be surprised to see Whaley make a run at a RT like Bulaga, or Doug Free. I think Henderson would then be the swing tackle, and LT in waiting if Glenn wants too much $ when it's extension time. The serviceable splish for me will be a NT-DT-DE for Rex's system. (Kendall Langford? Jared Odrick? BJ Raji? Dan Williams?) Get a NT and Dareus can play DE. Get a DE and Dareus can stay inside. And they will still have Charles and Bryant to rotate in as well. The other splish will be a FA QB. At this point, EJ getting better is our best hope, but they have to sign someone and draft someone. Or sign two. I would take Locker strictly because he has physical upside and can win with his legs too. But he's basically EJ. So they will go with a Sanchez or Moore. In 3rd round they will grab a QB if Grayson, Petty or Hundley are still there. I think the RB comes in the draft. My 3 cents.
