  1. Man they ran Sammy on go routes, for the most part, the entire first three quarters. What about drags, digs, quick outs, screens, reverses? I have never seen a team think so highly of a player and then go out of its way not to try to get them the ball consistently. Makes not a damn bit of sense. I like Tyrod, but we better be bringing in a QB to compete with him in the spring/summer. We need better. There are far too many three and outs on his watch. He has to take his game to the next level.
  2. You forgot about EJ and Orton and Hackett and Roman...
  3. Sammy can beat Revis. They should use Clay and Shady and Williams and Woods too, but Sammy should definitely get more than a few targets. Revis is the figurehead of that D. Beat him and it sets the tone.
  4. Not a big deal. Tyrod is the one who stood up in the players meeting and everyone listened to him. The players know who is who. It doesn't matter who goes out for the coin flip.
  5. It's a $$ grab bc it's a jersey w/no history w/the organization, worn on a night w/a made up slogan meant to sell the jerseys. The throwbacks, a uni w/ organizational history, is already the alternate uniform. It's not the end of the world, just irritating to me.
  6. Gahbage. I'm not necessarily opposed to an alternate uni, but it's so obviously a money grab. Tired of the greed. How about they worry about getting refs who know the rules of the game and call them correctly. Spend money on hiring full time referees.
  7. It's funny to me that people think they can insult others or, in general, say crazy things to another man and then get upset by their response. His paycheck doesn't mean he has to take abuse from "fans". If you don't want it, don't bring it. Some here are taking this too personally, but then again a hit dog hollers every time.
  8. CK didn't struggle with actual blocking. He had the two mental errors. He kept his man off Taylor and did okay in the run game too. It's getting time to try something at RT. Henderson might need the motivation of a benching.
  9. You got the powerball numbers too? I think you're off base here. Not saying he will ever be a Rogers or Brady, but he's shown well from the pocket. He's shown well under pressure. He's bought times with his legs and made plays down field. We've seen him do this. He hasn't done it consistently, but his completion percentage is still very good for someone with inconsistencies. And as bad as he looked against N.E. and the Giants or today for long stretches, he also made enough plays to have the Bills in the game (Giants - penalties killed two TD's), with a chance to tie the game at the end (Patriots), or win outright (Titans). Let it play out. We shall see what he is or isn't. That happens over time, not in five games, whether it's for the perception that he is the guy or he isn't.
  10. Key word is beat. The 90's Bills won many a close, ugly game. And so do most winning teams. The other team gets paid too. 5 games in dude. Calm down. We have seen some warts. We have also seen a lot of good, including from Taylor. The biggest issue is consistency throughout all of the units. And offensively, until we get everybody healthy and playing together for a stretch, we might continue to see ups and downs. Offensively, their best football is potentially ahead of them going into the stretch run.
  11. This will be the narrative until they play well enough that no penalty they get matters. Once the national media gets a hold of a take, it's hard to make it go away. The same as the Miami Dolphins being good...
  12. Bills play better as underdogs than top dogs. I wouldn't be shocked to see a top level performance next week.
  13. I don't know. Maybe. I don't know why some expect pro athletes, entertainers, etc. to somehow be different from "normal" people in society. There is a segment of people in life in general who who will get into trouble. That's life. There's many more people who don't. Sports/entertainment is no different; they're just people.
  14. None of us know Whaley or Lynch. Everybody makes mistakes. Everybody makes multiple mistakes in some form or fashion. Lynch has done some unfortunate things, true enough. Doesn't make him the worst person in the world. I haven't heard where he's been in trouble recently. Perhaps he's turned a corner.
  15. I don't think it's as rare as you believe. You just don't hear about the Fred's because there's no news value in it. There are many more players in pro sports who get in no trouble at all than do.
  16. A kicker off the street isn't reliable either, that's why he's available at this point in the season. They should work some kickers out, but I wouldn't put Carpenter out to pasture just yet. It CAN be worse.
  17. I don't want to hear #$@% else from anybody on defense. They wet the bed continuously.
  18. I don't know what's going on w/this passing game, but it looks like Sammy Watkins' presence makes a huge difference.
  19. Why are they getting so many penalties? They have to know the rules.
  20. He's fine from the pocket. Seems like no one is open. A few times it looks like he could have run though. I don't know why he won't run.
  21. He might not require big bucks. Players will get hurt. It's a rare few who don't miss any time. Harvin has shown vast improvement this season. He was always explosive athletically and capable of making explosive plays, but as a WR I don't think he's ever been better than he is right now. He does have a good connection with Sanjay Lal, who he swears by. If Tyrod keeps playing well, I don't think we'll see the Bills let offensive skill talent go. Glenn would go, and probably a couple pieces off the defense, because Rex could coach up new LB's and DL. As long as he has Gilmore and Darby he would be able to put out a good product on defense. I think we see Mario W. re-structure soon and open up some cap space. Kyle and Bradham could be in trouble. Mario too, if he doesn't restructure.
  22. Every week is a challenge. They're all professionals. You can't extropolate performamce against one team meaning a certain result against a different team. If one could go that the Rams, who beat the Seahawks, would not lose to Washington. The Patriots, who got housed in KC last season, would not have come into Buff and smoked the Bills the next week. Each week presents its challenge, and the Bills could win Sunday and Tyrod could have a below average game. I want them to win with him not repeating last Sunday's mistakes.
  23. That would sound good in another state, but in New York State? That price you quoted left out the corruption tax.
