  1. That's fair on its face. But who can they get, that is a known quantity, who is better? FA QB's are not better. Romo is not available as of now if he ever will be, and he's been injured the past few seasons and missed major time. They will need to draft a QB in either case. So in that case, for me, keep Tyrod. We know he can make the throws. We just have to hope he can get consistent.
  2. That depends. If they are willing to rebuild then you hire a coach and let him make the call on how he wants to move forward. If they believe they have the talent on hand to get to the playoffs, they will hire a coach who sees things the organization's way.
  3. It would also fit into the "Continuity" argument. He knows the talent on hand, strengths, weaknesses etc. And it's been reported the players like him.
  4. He's not suddenly anything. He interviewed for open gigs last off season and his name is mentioned for the Rams. He's well respected around the league.
  5. This, right here! How do the coaches not know their starting CB is in concussion protocol? This fits in with all the times we see players running off and on the field on defense at the last second. They practice various situations all week. There is no excuse for this type of dis-organization. It's ridiculous.
  6. What about his other throws? He played well enough to win the game for the Bills.
  7. Rex Ryan is a fraudulent Defensive "genius". Ajayi goes over 200 yards AGAIN. Tyrod over 300. Sammy 154. Clay 85. Shady 128. TD Mike 91. This game is on incompetent Defense and piss poor Kicking.
  8. Yes, Please. Need to step up.
  9. Yes, they need to do something else next season.
  10. The first four years were a number 2 QB. Started one game. Hard to come back in games if you're on the bench. But I hear you.
  11. Rex is calling the plays though. He said as much before the Browns game.
  12. Yes, he is. But they might as well wait until the end of the season at this point. But this defense is straight up hot trash.
  13. But you can't take that away. They do have McCoy and he does exceedingly well. They don't need to apologize for that. No caveats need to be made either. Belicheck won how many before Brady took over?
  14. He's a candidate for other jobs. Just as he interviewed for open jobs last off-season as well. It's not far-fetched at all. The National media actually respects A. Lynn. For those in the "continuity" camp, firing Rex and hiring A. Lynn would be that. The players know him and like him. Yet, he presents a very different persona than Rex. I'm not saying they should or should not hire him, but he's a legit candidate.
  15. Which leads us to the hot seat Rex is on, no?
  16. We are at a point in the history of the Bills where this drought has caused people to search for any answer to explain it. The Buff News writers though seem to have an issue with the organization in general. One would think this was an 0-14 team. Sullivan and Gleason are more trolls than fair writers, Skurski strikes me as sanctimonious and Graham relishes being controversial. I do think he is an excellent feature writer. Carucci is okay. It seems to me when a paper devotes four writers to constantly harangue the organization something is off. And this Buffalo media narrative that the Bills would be better of being the Browns was foolishness on blast.
  17. Saying there were WR's just as good is not entirely accurate. There is not a GM who would have taken any of those WRs, including Beckham, over Sammy if they had a choice between them. This 20/20 hindsight, arm chair GM'ing is based on what we see now. The night of the draft Sammy was obviously the best WR available. Beckham was a version of Sammy w/his explosiveness, but no one predicted he would do what he's doing. Watkins showed who he was the last half of last season. He dominated.
  18. We don't know what Lynn would be; him or anyone else that has no head coaching track record. Getting rid of Rex, which I advocate, could be a disaster. Then again, Lynn or some other option could be the next great coach.
  19. They strike you as worse because you are a Bills fan. Most fan bases complain about depth and draft picks.
  20. ^^^ (Hand Claps and Finger Snaps) Truth.
  21. If players don't play well or get injured and a starting level player does not replace them (even though backups usually aren't as good as starters league wide) the position was ignored and the management did not try to find players. Didn't you get the memo?
  22. I can totally see that. It would be ridding the organization of Rex, but maintaining "continuity" with someone respected in the building and around the league. He also knows the personnel on hand already and how he can use them. At the same time, they spoke about finding a coach who has done it before during the last search b/c the learning curve is steep for a first time NFL head coach. Which leads me to believe a decision on Rex hasn't been made yet. If it has, there is no reason not to let A. Lynn take over and see how he runs the ship the last few games. If they lose to the Browns though, I would bet Rex fired before midnight.
  23. I think it's even deeper than that. He is a guy who wants to win, but needs to win his way, meaning with his defensive system. I don't think he can humble himself enough to truly change up if it's not working. Will he tweak it, scale back a bit? Sure. But eventually we get back to guys running on and off the field when the ball is snapped. Why don't they know who is supposed to be on the field in certain situations at this point in his tenure? No excuse. A hot young coach has usually been an assistant for some time or a college coach who has done something innovative or exciting during his tenure.
