Watkins is a straight beast. McCoy too. If Watkins was healthy enough to be himself Tyrod would probably have looked a lot better. But that D was so incompetent at points we probably, as a team, would have seen a lot of games like today. Big offensive production in a high scoring loss. But they would have been more entertaining for sure.

Good point. But, Taylor will get paid and get a job somewhere. I would hate to see him finally find his consistency in another uniform while we trot out Jay Cutler or Bryan Hoyer, etc who don't even offer the legs Tyrod lends to an offense. To me, if they let Tyrod go next season they should play Cardale or a rookie. Build up the rest of the team. Which means, for those who hate ground and pound, most likely an extension of that philosophy to keep mistakes at a minimum. Well, we already have that with a QB who could improve his consistency.

That's fair on its face. But who can they get, that is a known quantity, who is better? FA QB's are not better. Romo is not available as of now if he ever will be, and he's been injured the past few seasons and missed major time. They will need to draft a QB in either case. So in that case, for me, keep Tyrod. We know he can make the throws. We just have to hope he can get consistent.

That depends. If they are willing to rebuild then you hire a coach and let him make the call on how he wants to move forward. If they believe they have the talent on hand to get to the playoffs, they will hire a coach who sees things the organization's way.

It would also fit into the "Continuity" argument. He knows the talent on hand, strengths, weaknesses etc. And it's been reported the players like him.

He's not suddenly anything. He interviewed for open gigs last off season and his name is mentioned for the Rams. He's well respected around the league.

For those in the "continuity" camp, firing Rex and hiring A. Lynn would be that. The players know him and like him. Yet, he presents a very different persona than Rex. I'm not saying they should or should not hire him, but he's a legit candidate.

We are at a point in the history of the Bills where this drought has caused people to search for any answer to explain it. The Buff News writers though seem to have an issue with the organization in general. One would think this was an 0-14 team. Sullivan and Gleason are more trolls than fair writers, Skurski strikes me as sanctimonious and Graham relishes being controversial. I do think he is an excellent feature writer. Carucci is okay. It seems to me when a paper devotes four writers to constantly harangue the organization something is off. And this Buffalo media narrative that the Bills would be better of being the Browns was foolishness on blast.

Saying there were WR's just as good is not entirely accurate. There is not a GM who would have taken any of those WRs, including Beckham, over Sammy if they had a choice between them. This 20/20 hindsight, arm chair GM'ing is based on what we see now. The night of the draft Sammy was obviously the best WR available. Beckham was a version of Sammy w/his explosiveness, but no one predicted he would do what he's doing. Watkins showed who he was the last half of last season. He dominated.

We don't know what Lynn would be; him or anyone else that has no head coaching track record. Getting rid of Rex, which I advocate, could be a disaster. Then again, Lynn or some other option could be the next great coach.

They strike you as worse because you are a Bills fan. Most fan bases complain about depth and draft picks.

If players don't play well or get injured and a starting level player does not replace them (even though backups usually aren't as good as starters league wide) the position was ignored and the management did not try to find players. Didn't you get the memo?
