  1. Good post. I agree with your sentiments on the Buffalo News as well. The level of vitriol seems personal to me; over the top. It makes it hard to take in any of the points they try to make. Are the Bills a sports organization or criminal syndicate? It feels like these cast of reporters are getting even for personal reasons.
  2. All offensive players. Interesting we haven't heard much from the Defensive players outside of Douz.
  3. Because you are convinced does not make it true. No one knows who is saying what to whom.
  4. 😂😂😂 for real! Some of these reactions sound like my grandmother and her friends talking about their "stories" back in the day. People are getting way too strung out.
  5. Lynn came in the coaching ranks under Shanahan, Del Rio and Parcells. Rex came later.
  6. What is not surprising? That he's intrviewing w/Jags? Have the Bills requested an interview w/him, etc., that he's turned down? Do the Bills want Coughlin?
  7. Sexton can be upset. His clients need to do their jobs better.
  8. Everyone knows why Rex got fired. Everyone can surmise why Tyrod isn't starting. Hell, Lynn told you. Business decision. My prediction? Come Monday Whey ain't giving up state secrets about the inner workings of the Bills. Monday afternoon all the usual Buff News squad will be pissed and say Whaley wasn't straight forward and he should go. And half the fans will get hysterical and be all over social media talking about what a joke the Bills are and woe is us. September will come and they will sit there and watch the games.
  9. I understand fans being unhappy, but come on... One would think by listening to the Buff News and some fans on social media this team was 0-16. They are average. Every little thing has turned into defcon status. Whaley talks on Monday. What's he going to say today that can't wait for Monday? Lynn is a grown man. He was fine during the press conference. Some Bills fan project too much. You think they're a joke so the entire world does. No. The worst ambassadors for the Bills, nationally, are Bills fans.
  10. Belicheck's coaching tree doesn't have the greatest track record. But if he were interviewed and they thought he was the best fit, I'd be behind it. But I don't think we'll see any of Belicheck's guys taking jobs within the division.
  11. If next coach isn't the answer Whaley will be out the door, no doubt about it.
  12. And so it begins or I should say, continues. See Williams, Mario 2015...
  13. He would have spoken his piece, but the owners decision would be the final one and everyone else who works for them would be expected to fall in line. Just like in "regular" jobs. He very well might not have hired Rex had it been solely his decision.
  14. We don't know he is the leak. That could be someone outside the building (i.e. agents, coaches looking for a job) He is going to support the owners decision publicly even if he disagrees privately. You would expect him to publicly disagree with a decision they just made? Fair about trading too much for Sammy. I didn't have an issue with it, but I understand people who do.
  15. Sure it can. Rex gave ample reason to change direction. People can change their mind without having had a plan in place before hand.
  16. Lynn started with Shanahan, Del Rio and Parcells. He's part of their coaching tree too.
  17. They have enough talent on this team to be in the playoffs. This narrative that they have a bad roster in nonsense. Folks act like they have been 2-14 for the past few seasons. Remember the 84-85 Bills? That team had little talent. Remember Keith Ellison being the Bills best LB? Those teams had little talent. This team has talent.
  18. They don't want to risk Tyrod getting injured and being on the hook for an extension; since the new coach might not want his QB to be Tyrod. It's a business decision. EJs' ship sailed a long time ago. They aren't starting him because he's the future. Stay calm.
  19. But he might be. How would you know? You see a guy who has been a position coach for years. That's one way to look at it. One could also look at it as a man who is good at a job that he is able to keep for more that a decade in an unforgiving industry that has constant turnover. One could say he coached under Shanahan. He coached under Parcells. He coached under Del Rio. All successful HC's in the NFL. He was Rex's asst HC in NY and BUF, in spite of being "only" a position coach. That's indicative of a coach who is respected. We shall see...
  20. It's a sign that they probably are hedging their bets. Depending on who the coach will be, the OC, etc. Of course they don't want him getting hurt before those pieces are in place and being stuck paying a guy who the new coach doesn't want. Tyrod's future in Buffalo is on the fence.
  21. Well that seemed to be Rex's main issue, right? Concern with himself; his reputation and his defense.
  22. Tells me that there was truth to Whaley not being the person who had authority to hire the coach. At least to this point we have not heard that Russ and the Pegula's will be involved like the last search.
  23. It would have been great if it had worked out. He seems like a good dude. But he had to go. I wish him and the other assistants well.
  24. They will sign someone who they hope will be more reliable. I don't know who said kickers never missed kicks. Certainly not me. However, just as people think we can and should try to do better at QB, the same should go for the kicker position. If one's job is to make kicks and kick off, they should be better at doing it. Maybe Carpenter will re-gain form elsewhere.
