  1. quinnearlysghost is just like Quinn Early. He came, he didn't contribute, and was never heard from again.
  2. I'm not trivializing the long term consequences of these injuries and dismissing their impact on our beloved football squad, but these guys are very aware of the risks and are compensated extremely well. Beyond what 97.3% of us will ever see. Way beyond. Also, it greatly influences the influx of new talent into the league and/or spotlight. Just picture the old, slow zebra at the waters edge. It's hard to watch as the croc pulls it under, but in the grand scheme of things, completely necessary. You feel sorry for the zebras for a while, but the balance to the whole system is maintained in a way. e.g. Sorry Bledsoe, you're on the Bills now, allowing room for another organism to thrive.... For 15 years... Thanks nature
  3. It's sooooo easy for me to type that stuff. If someone ever demoted Jerry Hughes to 4th DE, I might have a meltdown. (and he's only in his second year, but has a 1st rd. pedigree unlike our buddy FJ) I know I joke a lot but #22 has been through it all for the Bills. And even if you buried him deep in the depth chart, I gotta think that the Fred Jackson we all know would and most likely will, come through for the Bills AGAIN this season. Anyone betting against the guy who is basically the RB equivalent of Kurt Warner, is a fool. The dude was in NFL Europe for cryin' out loud. He played for mighty Coe College. He has hurdled everything come his way. Elite speed is the only thing between him and the Hall. Even without that, as soon as he steps on the field everyone in their right Bills mind is going to be expecting BIG THINGS from him. And he will deliver. FredX always delivers. The modern NFL caveat though is it's a hard thing to do, staying healthy at that position. Regardless, I just can't bring myself to think that FJ22 is not one of our heroes again this season. Combination of experience and talent is rare in the RB position. Is that emotional? Go Fred.
  4. I'll take a top 25 RB as the 3rd or 4th best on my team any day. Add in his Bills' history, great attitude, leadership and the underdog/overachiever/ from outta nowhere story and you have a quality teammate and player. With that said, we can't let ourselves get emotionally attached to these players. It's a cold, cold world and facts are facts. (some are opinions apparently)
  5. He's no Chesterton Reinwagglenstyn, that's for sure. So they'll probably keep him.
  6. can he play backup quarterback?
  7. Did he yell that out of the window of his Maserati? (I know, BTW) They get paid to play a kids' game. Now they don't wanna play. They just wanna get paid? Help me out here.
  8. He would be the 4th best receiver on the Bills this year, had he stayed. Watkins/Woods, Williams.... Stevie/Goodwin. He wouldn't have been happy here, ultimately. IMO I watched the PS game the other day, on his 1st 2 targets, he drew a flag from the DB. I think he'll be lost in the shuffle on that team, but they sure did try to get him the ball in the beginning with the 1's. Boldin and Crabtree didn't play though.
  9. I'm super shocked not really
  10. I agree, you definitely discover things about people. wink wink
  11. We should wait til he shows signs of slowing down more, sign him to a ridiculous extension and then cut him.
  12. You will be disappointed my friend. And I'm not sorry. In fact, I will be elated.
  13. Just another player on the long list of all-pros that the Bills field this year. Looks like he could dominate at times, just like half our roster it seems. Gonna be difficult to spread the ball around to all these guys to try'n keep 'em happy.
  14. I'm struggling to understand why you use Bud Grant, although a great coach, to illustrate your point. After more consideration, It's BECAUSE he's a great coach. There's other great coaches with their own philosophies though. Do you have more info to back this up? Did he have some kind of magic formula to avoid injuries? Interesting theory. Please expand on this.
  15. The rookie WR on the Panthers looks pretty darn good too. Both are going to be very impressive it appears.
  16. It's obvious we have a disagreement about disagreeing. It's becoming very disagreeable. Don't you agree?
  17. There is now a mountain where once was a molehill.
  18. It's nice to know who the Bills fans are and who the johnny-come-lately fans are
  19. Possibly. Who knows now-a-days. But that's in essence what I was thinking. Mostly joking, I guess.
  20. egats! while I was fawning all over Hughes, Bobby Woods was sneaking into the dinner as well. Good play every time he steps on the field.
  21. These holdouts are getting more and more creative every year. Very subtle Cordy.
  22. Did you get your Dolphins season tix in the mail yet?
  23. No doubt about it. He would be an ideal b/u. Tuel/Thad to 3rd. Loser gone.
