  1. Steroids are 'good' for muscle regeneration, right? Anyone know of drug therapy for A/MCL's or achilles? Do they have those, and are they legal? That's what I'd like to see. If they can take the THC out of pot, can't they reduce to a great degree, the negative effects of these PED's thru similar methods? Or, because this science of muscle enhancement is in a relatively infant stage, do we HAVE to let the evolution of steroids run its' course (taking the good with the bad) before we can achieve ALL positives from its' use? conundrum... not to mention, we live in America, land of Liberty. But yes, you have a valid argument there from that angle.
  2. Janikowski lines up for an 87 yard field goal...there's the snap...the hold is good...Holy Skit! his leg came off!!! he kicked his freakin leg off!!! All humor aside... Hey OP, why don't we test these "safe" drugs on your kids? That's what I thought.
  3. Thanks for all the feedback everyone. As for rookies, I'd agree. But it only takes a glimpse of what you have, e.g. Dalton, Newton, to know yer not going to draft a QB real high for a while, right? Read: we have our franchise guy, let's build around him...
  4. Agree. Problem is, I don't think he's done sinnin'...hence he will re-earn his scumbag label. And I'm no angel. But I ain't no scumbag.
  5. Did anyone else picture Nix standing in front of a giant American flag with a riding crop and full military regalia? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9b5g1avyCSA
  6. Seems to me that these guys know what they're getting into. But I could be wrong, as many are extremely stupid.
  7. Would we win more? Probably. Would I feel better about the team? No. Don't like the guy and as soon as his NFL days are over, he'll go right back to being a scumbag. Mark. My. Words.
  8. i haven't read all the posts in this thread but did Troup show ANY indications of back pain history before he was drafted? If so, you can kinda blame the GM for taking a shot in the 2nd round. Unless he's a #1 talent that slid to the 2nd b/c of it.
  9. You can do anything, if you just set your mind to it. Signed, Dad
  10. My brother just tricked me into it this year. He paid my 50 bucks. Had the draft a couple days ago. Kinda fun.
  11. I think it's quite obvious that PS has utility, otherwise every year they'd vote to eliminate it all together and not just shape it like they have been. Now, do I think they should do more imaginative things with the presentation to add to it's entertainment value for us fans? Yes. But I for one, would not want to waste my time watching NFlers have to ramp it up for the 1st 3-4 weeks of the regular season. Plus, what the helk would we do?
  12. Trajectory/velocity or not, the ball was placed where it needed to be. Are you telling me if Fitz made that throw 2x a game during this season, that you'd be complaining about how the ball got there? Have you seen Tebow throw? He won a bleepin playoff game man! He could snap it to the end zone for all I care.
  13. A long time ago, it used to be that teams built themselves around a great running back (ala Jim Brown, Juice, et al). Now, all you hear is 'Franchise Quarterback'. For me a few questions arise from this, and I'd like your input: 1. At what point in history do YOU think this dynamic changed? (between a valuable running back to a passer) 2. Who do YOU think was the first true franchise QB? And thirdly, does anyone know: the first QB to be given this title by the media, and who gave it to him/coined the phrase? Here's the wiki link to 'franchise player' and mentions a few NFLers, but not so QB specific...so I wasn't THAT lazy. http://en.wikipedia....ranchise_player NOTE: I'd like to send out a hearty thanks to all the posters and especially our esteemed host. Well, it's back to the special ed grind for me pretty soon, so ending my 15+ hours a day on TBD. It's been a lot of fun this offseason and hope I didn't peeve anybody too bad. I gotta real good feeling about this season and I think even the nay-sayers or neganancies do too, but they're just so unwilling to climb out on that branch, and I can sympathize with that. GO BILLS! With that, I forgive all and purge my block list...'cause it's all about forgiveness p.s. I'm working on a Bills song for you guys and the great City of Buffalo...hey, you never know
  14. no, just BELOW him...but still those names in the same sentence are just plain silliness...
  15. how in $&^%'s! name is Cam Newton 15th? with the next 2, Josh Freeman and Alex Edwards...er, Smith... Please enlighten me...please with sugar on top
  16. I'd take Dick Button over a few of the guys you all have mentioned...(not that there's anything wrong with that...wink wink)
  17. They GOTTA be shopping McKelvin...with the depth there due to the introduction of Brooks and the need for other teams, they have a golden chance to get something outta him. Don'tcha think?
  18. Potter is good, I'll give you that...but he can't run that fast and I'm sure his hands aren't NFL WR worthy...
  19. DId you check the Metrodome? he's probably in the stands waving to the Viking players as they go by, much like last week... I kid really...Who's Kelvin Sheppard? I just average everybody's posts and come up with something close to the truth...does it work like that? maybe?
  20. While on the subject of KO's. How bout this? scenario: A personal foul is called on a td (on the D), the penalty is assessed on the KO (15 yds)... THEN, ANOTHER PF penalty is called on the D during/after the point after attempt, tacking another 15 on... Do they kick from the opponents 35 yd line? Has anyone seen this?
  21. ...and I'd hate to be his microphone screen...Yuck!!.. THTOP THPITTING PLEEEETHE...
  22. Is this thread for real? You can't be sairus... they called her Kisnine, didn't they? Bummer for her.
  23. Ponder too, he looks stronger and more poised this year.
