  1. I dunno 'bout you, but I really like to finish on a "...umm, well, like... you know."
  2. at least he got it after the one hop...that's hard to do
  3. he obviously completed the task of tallying up his touchdowns and needed something else to do
  4. at the eighth pick, at the very least, let's get a man
  5. Led by C.J. "The Blood" Spiller. With Fred Ex coming in to spell him, will it really matter who our QB is? (seriously kidding there) We just have to get one with even a miniscule threat to beat 'em long, and we're good as gold... Now, we've discovered our current starter, for myriad reasons, is not capable. But right now it feels kinda knee jerky to auto-assume we're going QB with the first pick. Believe me, I was thinking rounds 1-4 should be QB a few weeks ago, now I'm thinking either a package mega-trade and/or shopping the 8th pick to move down in the draft. That being due to Marrone finding out who really wants to ride the turnaround out, and who he can get value for in a deal. They didn't make a big splash in the coaching pool, so look for the Bills FO to do something a little more risky and drastic to get the turnstiles moving again. One thing for sure, we are going to run CJ and then run him some more. Although the roster isn't filled yet, got any potential nicknames for a Doug Marrone led, 2013 Bills team?
  6. If contraceptives prevent conception, can we get some intraceptives? congratulations to the Fitz's
  7. I'd be interested to know if anyone has accumulated and analyzed data for NFL general managers and their career success. I'm thinking along the lines of drafting impact players, length of player careers, wins, probowlers/HOF'ers selected, etc... What other categories would apply if we had a GM rating scale? What things would interfere with the validity of such an assessment? (tight budgets come to mind)
  8. But also remember, all of our games are against teams with those two leading, so it affects our defense too. (and no, in my magical universe, one Harbaugh* cannot read the mind of the other)
  9. Things like...um, I dunno...completing passes? Fitz did his thing...except it appears Fitz's thing was throwing interceptions at the end of every game. Sorry dude, but you gotta get off the train, cuz it's gonna jump the track and make a loud noise.
  10. If someone cloned Aaron Rodgers and Jim Harbaugh 32 times over and they were placed on every team as the starting QB and HC, who's the best in the NFL for this season? Do you think all the rankings would be completely different? The Bills rate significantly higher with their current cast of impact and role players, right? BTW, the reason for my choosing those candidates are on-field / game time execution and overall competency / consistency, along with the youth and fit for the game as it is right now. (Along with the fact that I hate the he-who-shall-not-be-named QB and his Sith Lord coach so much, as to not include them)
  11. Super-fantastic post!... best I've seen in a while here. Kudos to matter2003..
  12. Perhaps we need to start thinking about making moves with some of our players and focus on getting younger, faster, and bigger, so we can have a hungry team when Jim Kelly part deux walks through the door. Guys like KW, Wood et al. More like a hockey GM. I mean we're all guilty of wanting that big name at every position one day and then talk out the other side of our mouths saying how much it's a team game and that other coaches get more from less, while having the one of the VERY best at one particular key position. (I'll let you guess which one) Btw, I think lotsa teams would drool over a playoff famished KW, SJ, Levitre, et al. Probably pay a pretty penny too. I wonder if any of these guys'll wanna jump ship like some players did first year of Marrone's time at the 'Cuse. Remember: Change is hard.
  13. I was just getting used to Wanny's bend-AND-break defense... Flex-AND-Fail works too...
  14. hopefully he can sneak an extra few players onto the field on third down and long to stop the hand off for a 17 yard gain
  15. Hmmm, I wonder where I can find some boxes. Maybe I'll ask this guy sitting next to me. Wait, what was his name again?
  16. All I know is Ryan Fitzgerald and Ray Barrone are the 2 most important people on the Bills. DOH!
  17. (in regards to Rodgers) also, name me a QB that throws on the run better...in NFL history...
  18. Do the Bills follow in the Redskins footsteps and use 2 picks on that all important position? I know it seems like a weaker class this year, so could be some value available. Then again, we could grab clones of Levi Brown. I'm not saying we giveaway all those picks and trade up for the top guy, just when we're on the clock, we go QB and not another direction. If they want to start doing things differently to turn the ship around, this may be a good way to set the tone for the franchise. Don't you think it's time to make some bold moves?
  19. Belichek has probably been illegally taping Oregon practices for years, just for this scenario
  20. I get what you're saying, but you have to admit the ceiling on the ones you've excluded is higher (aside from the freakish arm strength of Bray)... imo, the team needs to stop thinking of the bust factor until we get a real QB and focus more on the potential. If Geno can throw for 600/7 in a game once, who's to say he can't again? Who do you think would have a better chance to do that in the pros? Would you bet your money on Smith or Nassib?
  21. wow, good thing he didn't 'sanchez-butt-sack' fitz...we may have had to watch thigpen
  22. i can't believe one of you guys hasn't made this your profile pic yet
