  1. that is a greatobservation. and so true.
  2. The costs of a farm system have to come out of someone's pockets. I don't think the NFLPA wants to dilute the money pool too much. And let's not even talk about what the owners would have to do logistically to create and provide for it. Colleges too would lose millions and millions of dollars and it would have immense impact on whole communities that base their very subsistence on it, socially, culturally and economically. So I would think, no way. The NCAA/civic lawyers would have a field day. Baseball has seen major decline in the past few years, do you really want football's future marketing plan to be based on that model?
  3. but we haven't mined southern finland for young QB talent. Who knows?
  4. Fact and historical evidence > conjecture/fantastical scenarios I'm sure Brady wouldn't have been to happy with his drops and inconsistent play too, if you want to go there.
  5. show me winning and we'll all have fun
  6. could you count on him in the clutch?...no did DC's have to game plan around him?...no does he have ANY qualities non-homers would consider elite? (size, speed, hands) ... no relative to the amount of starts, did he score a meaningful amount of points that mattered?... no did his peers/ other fans respect him as a player more than a 'character'?... no as far as him loving to play in buffalo and his good citizenship and all, you think he's gonna come back and raise a family there?... c'mon man he was a glamor grabbing (when he could) over achieving 6th round draft pick. I'm really not even sure that if he gets drafted by a decent squad, he makes the team. He doesn't work out in the offseason and it shows when it's time to go. giving him another excuse (injury) as to why he can't achieve his goals. The fact that we had so many coaches and qb's probably enabled his stay here more, as no one saw fit to grab one decent wideout after he got here. he was just enough of a tease to prevent that position from climbing up the draft board. but i can understand his likability for the younger generation of fans, due to his swagger and sense of entitlement for talents that are quite frankly, meh...
  7. did he have a game winner at the end last year? i dunno.
  8. Bills win the Superbowl. Finally.
  9. thanks for the responses, it's all coming back to me now So, 2 for EJ 2 for Aaron 3 for Mario including one bonus point for total domination... but he did have some solid support from his peers that game, did he not?
  10. What current players made a play in 2013 that either swung the game (even if only temporarily) in the Bills' favor, or outright won it? I don't get to see all the action, but I remember a sack by Lawson in one game that incited a fist pump or two. Who will go to the well this year and deliver when it counts?
  11. oh yeah that's fair. leave out Erie County... I see how you are
  12. and who did we acquire as a result in the bump up the draft board? perhaps we should thank him...or not
  13. Somewhere there is a list of players that have singlehandedly won games for the Bills. I'm not sure he is on it.
  14. All comparisons aside, Robey made some game swaying plays, at the very least from a defensive morale standpoint. His tenacity combined with speed and intelligence results in this. Even his coaches were amazed at his ability to be in position. Now, match up problems will exist but with offenses going more and more to the pass, why wouldn't you put a PROVEN playmaker out there? With all these traits and his track record, I expect to see even more from Robey this year. After watching him perform as a rookie, is anyone prepared to bet against this guy? My question: is he a guy you have to game plan against? Will he ever be?
  15. The $ those players bring in cover the costs of a lot more than just the athletic depts. a bit oversimplified, but logical. I hear you.
  16. survival of the fittest. fail to adapt, yer out... opportunity for another organism... ahhh, science
  17. Anything but Buffalo Bills negates the duality and wordplay of the name based on history's William F. Cody. The only other sensible regionalized name with the same 'punnish' quality (including the word 'Bills') would be: Niagara Electric Bills. A better question would be, would you be ok with a name change (complete overhaul) to keep the franchise in WNY?
  18. chef Hill needs to know if you would like butter or jam on your rogers... maybe both?...you can also choose from white or wheat rogers...
  19. I'm just trying to decode his first sentence. "Just because a player has the size a team covets, it doesn’t necessarily mean he’s a better player than someone with the prototypical size." huh?
  20. Walking out of the field entrance on the 50 yd line (section E10) on a beautiful, sunny fall day with my Dad and seeing the giant #32 on the back of Simpsons' jersey. One time and I was hooked. Then there was tearing down and literally passing the goal posts off the field up to Ralph's box after destroying the raiders 51-3 in the AFC championship. (Please tell me that was real.) Haven't seen the Bills play live since around '97, so count yer lucky stars there fellas.
  21. EDIT: sorry I got caught up in my stupid comment and forgot to prognosticate on the Bills' 2014 all-star... I'll be a limb climber and say, McKelvin. One of these seasons the ball just HAS to stick to his hands for a half dozen int's. After all, he's had like eleventeen defensive coordinators. Maybe it's his year. He apparently has all the other skills to make a cornerback of that caliber. One thing for sure, he was WAY better last year than in prior campaigns. If his trajectory is an indicator, he could be due for even more production for this years' team.
  22. umm, I think you meant "poal"...
  23. how 'bout the Bills play the Aggies for the rights to the name?... On second thought, maybe not without Kiko.
