  1. I can't wait for the day Crabtree burns him for 175 yds and 3 td's. That will be must see TV.
  2. It's quite possible Tim Tebow fits that bill as well. I don't want him either.
  3. Close your eyes and picture Mark Sanchez in a Bills jersey running out of the tunnel, NFL films style.
  4. That may very well be the case again this year. Why should we expect that not to happen, given our recent (and not-so-recent) troubles with injuries? I kinda meant that as a tongue in cheek jab at our run defense. My god, you guys are SO positive.
  5. are we in deep doo doo if he actually believes he had a good practice and didn't?
  6. I think they are exactly the right guys behind EJ. They probably don't feel it's worth the risk to his confidence to grab someone with a tremendous amount of upside. As I mentioned tangentially in another thread, I thought Thad would be stronger from day one. But Tuel was a UDFA rookie right? Not like we took him at pick #8. They threw him to the wolves and both he and the team were overmatched. I don't really recall anyone else stepping up to win the CLE game either. But my memory is that of a great cornerback.
  7. I think his fakeness and his attachment to Buffalo, people resent. They expect more out of their own. The anti-Russert syndrome of sorts.
  8. I expected Thad to come outta the gates stronger than the preliminary reports reflect. I recallThad did a decent job last year. I remember some outstanding plays. I also remember a lot of 3 and outs. But with a better team around him this year... probably more 3 and outs. Sounds like Tuel's getting his chance to me. Scratch one horrible throw last year and we're probably singin' a different song about good 'ol JT. No?
  9. everything will even out when the 3rd string RB gashes the starting defense up the middle for 11 yards every play
  10. Dick Woods... I've heard of him, git 'r done! wait...
  11. that is a seriously thin imaginary limb you're climbin' out on. please be safe. c'mon man, it's just the opposite end of the spectrum. it's lonely over here. you guys and your rainbows and puppies havin' all the fun. (kicks up dirt) aw shucks hey! I'm not callin' you names. the second one was funny
  12. I wonder how many would be touting all his Bills' "accomplishments" if he signed with Miami, the Jets or the cheatriettes.
  13. I figured it out! In San Fran, they'll be way ahead in a lot of games and it will be an opportunity for his legendary garbage time contributions. He'll have plenty of time to dream up his post TD celebrations on the bench whilst the first team is building the lead. Chad Johnson called from 2005 and wants his swag back, Stevie. Jeez, you guys talk about him like his first name is Calvin.
  14. stupid penalties. crucial drops. oft hampered by injury. silly celebrations. sillier social media gaffes = why not so serious? he was an integral part of the culture of losing, I'm sure the coaches saw it too. this is a great thread.
  15. They needed to borrow them for Kolb's DUI arraignment
  16. how have they not cut anyone yet?
  17. Good, that'll give the Bills time to win one before they have to face another NFC East team in the Superbowl.
  18. SF is overrated in my book too, and SJ isn't exactly a puzzle piece to put a team over the top. I can see adding fuel to this whole SF - SEA WR/DB thing that's apparently happening, or so Richard Sherman says. Perhaps they grabbed Stevie for his antics to play head games with them. Or maybe they have a better groin doctor on their team, I dunno.
  19. Whaley/Nix regime hit on quite a few of their later draft picks. Why would it be so difficult to believe they hit on EJ too? Does he suddenly have a weaker arm or less experience? Are there reports coming out that he's been less than a model QB student and teammate? Is he shorter this year? Slower maybe? Did he forget the hard lessons he learned about protecting his body and his teams chances in a game/season? Did he have an UNBELIEVABLY HORRENDOUS season as a rookie? Were all his poor performances entirely due to HIM, not the often buffoonish play of his legendarily bad defense and offensive supporting cast/coaching calls? The consensus around the league is the jury's still out on him. But that's just because people always want to go with a sure thing. It gives them the best chance of sounding smart in the long run. Really can't blame them. But you know what's coming for the Bills and the rest of the league. When the Bills win, they dominate. They set records and start trends. Granted, they don't do it very often, and sometimes infamously, but we tend to make people sit up and take notice for some reason. It was nice knowing you Marsha. Goodbye.
  20. It really is not that farfetched to think so. The offensive line in itself may very well be one of the best in the league, giving him an excellent year 2 opportunity. Add in new weapons plus the rest of the roster on both sides of the ball, homer or not, you'd have to place us near the top. A new superstar QB and the team confidence that follows = class of the NFL guzzle, guzzle...gulp, gulp, gulp....ahhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Refreshing... THIS year!
  21. just saw that espn fantasy 'experts' have SJ listed as 52nd best wideout. mentions past injuries, potential for less targets in SF http://games.espn.go.com/ffl/tools/projections?display=alt&slotCategoryId=4&startIndex=45
