  1. I was just looking up Robert Quinn's measurables and stats 6'4" 265 ...an insane 19 sacks in 2013 to see how Jerry compares at 6'2" 254... 10.5 sacks Quinn had 10 sacks prior to last years output... I have no doubt that Hughes can easily reach last years' total... If he starts out on fire, it could really open things up for his teammates to T off on QBs.
  2. from an idealist point of view, that is true. However, in the big picture GM's face, when the needle is pointing in one direction or the other, it could result in different choices and things being set into motion. Pile that on top of the very difficult roster decisions that need to be made. Some of these guys were drafted and acquired to fill a very specific role and if they don't at least show a little something, then...
  3. It's gonna seem easy against the D's we face, relatively. When EJ comes out and throws for 380 yds 5tds, you'll get it. maybe. One thing for sure, Jay Cutler is going to be *****ing his pants week 1.
  4. They are studying hard at the Jerry Hughes Institute of Pain
  5. Is Moeaki's time up in Buffalo?
  6. I'm not retredded, it's a learning disability.
  7. in all truth it's like getting Betty White to throw out the first pitch and asking her if it's going to be a curve or a fastball. Just get it over the plate Betty.
  8. It's hard to play running back in the NFL
  9. I don't often chime in on the subject but will abide by your request. Sounds logical. note: I do sing and play guitar in several bands and will never again play any of his "songs"
  10. Falsely heralded? They've pretty much sucked for more than a few years now. This years added size alone HAS to be considered some kind of upgrade over the oft laughable guard/rt play.
  11. I do believe the o line looks worse than it is, due to the healthy all-pro d line they have to face in practice. They're young, but once they get into games against fronts that are not the best in the league, they will at least give the appearance of being better. Hopefully. Really I would just like to see the same 5 guys in there for the whole season for once.
  12. Somebody before said Marrone's bringing the NO offense to Buffalo, so I expect 50-55 throws a game/sarcasm. seriously, here's a link to Brees' career stats... can EJ get there too?...eventually? Look at Drew's 2nd year... comparable to EJ last season?... http://www.nfl.com/p...775/careerstats edit: duh, I forgot EJ's stats for comparisons' sake... sorry http://www.nfl.com/player/ejmanuel/2539228/careerstats
  13. Did you guys even watch the video? He said he's stepping away from the game, not from TB. I saw Jamon Meredith as one of his potential replacements though. ouch for the bucs
  14. They should just have the walkthrough on the way to the hospital for Moeaki
  15. they will if we send the punter in, therefor my suggestion is far superior.
  16. Did that pass seem a little late and underthrown to you guys?
  17. Apparently Moeaki has a hammy as of 7/25 practice... how many lives does he have?
  18. You emphasize a great point. And I'm not saying I don't like our TEs, but does Hackett feel the same? EJ? When all is said and done, will Chandler again lead the team in receptions? If EJ improves his reads manifesting to less check downs, will Chandler net as many opportunities? And others say Moeaki is a better pass catcher/athlete, is he going to get his chances to shine? I'm only saying this because, it seems to be the next greatest thing kind of offense to run that creates excellent matchups. Is the ceiling for Moeaki and Gragg a player that could approach that kind of player? IMO, Chandler has peaked and if we're all good with that level, I'm ok with it i guess too.
  19. and the color scheme is all wrong. Brown, light purple and burnt siena would've sealed the deal for me
  20. So with these factored in, do you anticipate any of these guys being a significant on field producer? Less touches all around probably, allowing no one to stand out.
  21. that website's logo is eerily familiar for some reason... just can't put my finger on it...
  22. Disappeared into the midsummer early morning fog of St. John Fisher, they did. Chandler was our leading receiver last year if I recall, and an important outlet for EJ. Seems no one cares about Moeaki's ceiling or Gragg's inability to garner any offensive eyeballs. What gives? Is it the position isn't THAT important in our offense, or do they all just suck? Now, we have a new budding offensive giant in SWat. Gonna be hard justifying the reps to those up 'n comers like Moeaki or Gragg. Do they fit? Or just keep em around for STs and injury? With obvious depth at other positions that we would like to maintain, do we keep the same amount of TEs this year? There's a lot of questions to choose from I know, but that's just an indication the big picture problem we have at the position. Take yer pick.
