I agree, at least with what you're saying about B. Galliford. I stopped reading BuffaloRumblings two years ago, haven't looked back since. As a Bills' apologist, he is worse than Chris Brown... I remember when the rumor broke that TO might come to Buffalo, he commented that it made him want to vomit. When he found out it was more than a rumor, he deleted his post, changed his mind, and wrote about how it was a great move to bring him in... no need for that kind of journalism... it's not journalism... He LOVED Dick Jauron right up until the very end... then he was elated when Ralph fired him... very consistent writer...

You're incorrect here. Jacobs can't buy the team because he owns the Bruins in Boston. However, the NFL permits an owner to own multiple sports franchises if, and only if, they are located in the same city. Pegula would not be banned from buying the Bills according to NFL rules... I don't have a link on this, but I've read it from several times from reputable sports journalists...

I don't follow Whitner on twitter. Everything I remember came from someone else who posted it on TBD at various points throughout Whitner's career. So, because I remember posts on TBD, that makes me a 12 year old girl... interesting form of logic. Do other members of TBD remember posts from the past? I actually have a photographic memory, so I remember a lot of things. You're the first person I've ever met who thought it was so hilarious... Still, I doubt that I'm the only fan who remembers Whitner's headline (at least around these parts) making antics... How good can his concentration be on game day and in the film room if he doesn't have the attention span or commitment to train a damn puppy? The sum of all these things? Whitner is incredibly immature. Twitter has given us a rare look into the life of Whitner and has shown us that he has the maturity of a 12 year old boy. Why anyone wants us to resign this guy (at any price) is beyond me. The man is an absolute fool on and off the field. He is not a starting NFL safety simply because he's mastered the art of running into people 20 yard down field. My prediction: he'll be out of the league in three years, and be in bankruptcy court in less than ten... May he fade into oblivion...

Excellent move. George Wilson is a favorite of mine & I was really hoping they wouldn't let him walk, like they did with Coy Wire. Wilson has come a long way considering he started out as a 7th string receiver. Whitner's return looking less & less likely...

FYI: Moran posted the same thing about Jordan on his twitter feed on 25 January... "from everything I'm reading & hearing..." He clearly is in intimate contact with key members of the Bills organization on a weekly basis. I'm surprised they haven't hired him as a consultant...

I think even "average" is a generous description. Piss poor might best describe the quality of tricky Dick as a D-coordinator. He's no Wade Phillips, for instance, whose defenses have a proven track record of success. Philly's D will go to the bottom quarter of the league in its Run-D with Jauron as coordinator.

He was still in the field of play when he did it & it was for a fraction of a second. I'm not sure why everyone tries so hard to find something wrong with Marshawn's character; he hasn't slipped up since his suspension. I say, good for him. That run was animalistic anyway -- brute strength

It never ceases to amaze me how coaches who are clear failures get second, third, fourth, fifth, etc., chances. There must be some kind of coaching brotherhood where these old guys will look out for each other. (I was similarly baffled by the John Fox hire.) I reject the notion that Dick Jauron is a good DC. The NFL is a league of innovation, creativity -- Jauron will employ the same bland, 4-3, smallish "pursuit" type defense which failed in Buffalo and will undoubtably fail in Cleveland. It's an especially poor scheme for cold weather environments like Cleveland -- in a division with Pittsburgh and Baltimore no less. I'm not sure what Holmgren is thinking. Apparently he wants coaches who won't stand up to him -- company, toe-the-line kind of guys. Cleveland is definitely in for another few years of failure...

Schopp does the afternoon show -- the morning show gang did this interview. The morning show is far more tolerable than the afternoon show (which I haven't listened to in close to a year). I can't remember the last time an active Bills player interviewed with the afternoon guys -- I'm not sure why they'd want to, since Schopp hates the sport of football and doesn't appreciate the notion of athletic competition. The morning show guys, though far from brilliant, are decent. Some of the stuff they talk about is inane and silly, but at least they like football and will talk about the actual game. More importantly, they seem like nice guys, which doesn't always make for great talk radio, but at least when you're finished you don't feel the urge to knock all of their front teeth out with your fists (which is how I felt after hearing Mike Schopp, who, next to Rush Limbaugh, is the biggest prick I've ever heard on talk radio).
