  1. stevie johnson makes the pro bowl despite not starting... that's quite an accomplishment...
  2. again again? he was just arrested last weekend! wow.
  3. Mario dominated, seemingly, in all of Buffalo's victories. He had a pretty solid season. The whole defense was bad in some of the lopsided loses, but so far he's been worth the money. Hopefully Pettine turns things around completely...
  4. Ralph Wilson (clearly!) Kelly, Bruce, OJ Simpson...
  5. many here who are obviously jealous of mario and his ability to buy such an expensive ring. is it any less ridiculous for someone making 20 k a year to buy a 5 thousand dollar ring? people are so easily jealous. the woman should absolutely give the ring back. my girlfriend just told me that SHE thinks the woman should give the ring back. this is absolutely ridiculous. regardless of what happened, if the woman has any respect for herself, she will give the ring back. it's a promise to marry and they aren't getting married. looks like mario got out in time...
  6. the question must be asked if it's a good idea to play him before he is ready? that is, is it a good idea to let him learn on the job, or hold him back until the coaches think he's ready?
  7. who cares. draft grades are stupid and totally without a quantifiable basis. if i were the editor of a sports journalism organization, i would prohibit draft grades until at least one season is played. I recall the bills receiving high draft grades in the past when the drafts (ultimately) turned out to be really bad; i think marv levy even got an A once... but now that football is on a 365 24/7 news cycle, well, it makes asses out of all of us from time to time. anyone who assigns draft letter grades is an ASS, and any Editor that allows it is a bigger ASS, only looking for clicks...
  8. it sounds like he's a wild animal. while not a bad thing for his position hopefully he won't get too many personal foul penalties, with all the flags being thrown now... additionally, he could instantly be the best LB the team...
  9. fantastic. this changes the team's whole outlook. nassib and barkley had potential for "just good enough." manuel has the potential for "elite." he's got elite size, speed, and arm strength. hopefully he can pick the reads up and become elite. there is always a question mark. but this really changes the whole view of the team. quarterback is EVERYTHING in the NFL. let's not forget that they picked up an extra second round pick in the process. finally, some sense from this organization.... A+. i'm happier than i've been in years.
  10. don't the cops have anything better to do?
  11. we don't even need any draft picks. let's just sign the entire syracuse orange football squad as UDFA... i'm not sure why we even have scouts anymore...
  12. wannstedt was indeed awful, running the same defense in 2012 that he did in 1992. now he's an assistant special teams coach in TB. anything to stay in the league apparently... but ultimately, the buck stops with gailey, who hand picked him and gave him total autonomy. gailey needed to find a better d coordinator.
  13. he compared barkley to joe montana? sounds to me like he wants barkley... did he give any comments on geno smith?
  14. i thought he was easy to dislike, especially when he was on the field -- i absolutely hated him then. also, i never thought he owned up to his poor play during post-game interviews. always with the "we," never with the "I." he sounded exactly like his coach in interviews, totally unable to figure out why they didn't execute -- gee golly it's hard to win and we have to do a better job executing -- get back and watch the film. post concussion, he was a scared kitten in the pocket -- afraid to throw downfield unless it was a simple first-option post, afraid to throw over the middle, afraid to stand in the pocket. we didn't call him Trentative for nothing... he made fitz look like a savior in comparison -- don't forget that. when fitz started throwing over the middle, he tricked all of us into thinking we had a good offense. that should give us some perspective on just how bad the QB before him was...
  15. but the late bill walsh gave him a glowing recommendation!!!
  16. i would trade spiller, byrd, johnson, mario, and kyle williams for a 7th round draft pick. and if that draft pick turns out to be a good player, i would trade him, too, for future considerations. they drafted whitner, gilmore, mckelvin all low in the first round. we draft safeties and corners high constantly, look at searcy, ron brooks, aaron williams, and it seems to be giving us so much success. so yes, if nix or any other moron draft a corner or a safety in the two first rounds, i will be extremely displeased. but of course the apologists will be on board. OH NOW WE HAVE BYRD AND SAFETY X. THEY ARE GOING TO B BEASTS, THEY WILL BE THE BEST SAFETY TANDEM IN THE LEAGUE. but this is the same old song and dance. this is ridiculous. i can't believe anybody could actually consider drafting a safety if i were the bills i would draft six QBs in this year's draft. one of them has to hit. at least it's different from drafting nothing but safeties.
  17. and then spiller gets hurt and you have only tashard choice. great idea!
  18. i hope the best man wins, too. but something tells me kolb isn't the best man. i wish i could put money down in vegas on whether or not Kolb gets hurt. it's an easy bet to take. usually when QBs become injury prone they stay that way. i'm not sure why everyone doesn't realize that if he starts he'll be hurt within a few games. he can't take a hit. with that in mind, i'd really rather fitz than kolb. fitz had a terrible arm and was inaccurate, but he was tough as nails and played through broken ribs. let's hope Korn on the Kolb doesn't get turf toe again this year and miss ten games. way to go nix, you signed a china doll!
  19. this is what i wanted to say....
  20. haha so funny. what a moron. now i know why nobody wants to sign him. i have a joke for you, barnett: your NFL career is over. actually, it's not a joke...
  21. i've got the motto for a few years down the road: FOUR SCORE AND SEVEN YEARS AGO, OUR FRANCHISE BEGAN THE REBUILDING PROCESS.
  22. can we all agree that chris brown is a Public Relations man, not a journalist or a reporter... by the very definition of his job, he is limited on what he can report and what he can write. any one of us would face the same restrictions were we in his position; if he steps over the line, he will surely be axed. no, he's not the brightest guy in the world, but he's bright enough and does a decent job given the limitations... we shouldn't have high expectations of him. the other news sources, such as that dumb buffalo radio station, that's another story; they deserve all the criticism they get...
  23. it's probably not a joke mate, but don't let it get you down. most football fans aren't all that worldly. my friend once asked somebody if she spoke "american..."
  24. yes, yes, and yes. there have been hundreds of gay men in the NFL since it began, and it seems to have got along just fine. if someone comes out, good for him, but the media coverage will be silly and i'm already tired of it even though it hasn't begun yet. it would be nice if all the uptight people who think gay sex is icky could just evolve and realize that it's not that big of a deal. nobody should care how anybody prefers to have an orgasm, as long as rape and pedophilia aren't involved... let's get over it and stop talking about it.
  25. hahaha, you're right, all teams are the same, and nobody is better than the bills. it's just a coincidence that we've lost 13 years in a row. we are just as good as the steelers, the pats, the ravens, and the packers. you're trying way too hard man...
