That's is a pretty sad way to characterize a supposed #2 receiver: "a competent run blocker." Chris Simms said on his podcast multiple times that Gabe is not a legit #2. Said Shakir is a stronger option on the boundary and Davis should be in the slot. If all Gabe brings to the table is run blocking it's time to move on from him.

I hope so. Davis had his moment of fame. He was a one-hit wonder. He's not fast; he doesn't run great routes; and he doesn't have good hands. Plus he doesn't seem like great leader. He had his all-time great game and we'll always remember that moment of awesome. But he's practice squad material at this point. Time to move on.

Anyone care to comment on this potential case of FRAUD? Scum bag thing to do if true; it's technically cheating. https://www.nbcsports.com/nfl/profootballtalk/rumor-mill/news/civil-lawsuits-would-be-easy-to-file-against-bengals-nfl-over-joe-burrow-injury

McDermott weird comments about Josh Allen
The Helmet of replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
The big mistake in all of this was choosing Dorsey in the first place. Who lets a 26 year QB choose his own offensive coordinator? That's ridiculous. "We want Josh to be happy and comfortable." Again, ridiculous. Pick the best coach. Dorsey was not the best guy available to coach the 11 guys on offense. -
McDermott weird comments about Josh Allen

I posted this in another thread, but it's super related to Dorsey's leadership position. It's clear that Dorsey is NOT A LEADER OF MEN. Watched Joe Brady's press conference. He is a hell of a lot more articulate than Dorsey. I couldn't believe how INARTICULATE Dorsey was! Stammering, stuttering, evading, incoherent guy when speaking. Either he wasn't aware, or he did not care about his poor public speaking. It seems a JOKE now that he was being considered for head-coaching gigs last year. How can a guy like that, who can barely speak, barely answer a question, be the face of a franchise? Not to mention, if he can't communicate in a down-to-earth way to the press, how well is he going to communicate with his players? I know it does not directly correlate, but it's a reasonable question to ask. Communication skills are communication skills. Dorsey, judging by his press conferences, had PATHETIC communication skills "Yeah, no, yeah, no, yeah no, no yeah," over and over again. What a weird verbal tic. Why speak that way when performing public speaking engagements? It's part of your job (even if it's not the most important one." You should still try to get better at it. Brady at least speaks confidently and commandingly. It may not translate into results. But at least you can listen to him speak without cringing -

Fitz + Allen = multiple SB championships. I'm all in on this.

Who was behind the decision to fire Dorsey?

But Marv Levy said "if you start listening to the fans soon you'll be sitting among them." -
McDermott claimed it was him and him alone. But I wonder if that's the truth. Your thoughts?

Taking random shots of someone's face is an ultimate troll move. I'm done feeding the troll.
-
Yeah, that's why pretty much every former QB analyst in the media thinks Allen is one of the most gifted athletes on the planet. I'll trust Brady's opinion over yours . . . You're either a troll, or lack the ability to analyze a situation with objectivity.
-
To the people complaining about Allen, You're never going to see a better QB in your lifetime. Gain some perspective. He's 27. He needs a mentor to help him manage the weight of the expectations and also how to manage the game, like a Manning, or Brady. Sometimes the three-yard completion is the one that helps you to win the game. He's got all the mental and physical attributes. He's a once-in-a lifetime talent. Do you want to chase a HoF QB out of town? He will go to another team and win multiple SBs, guaranteed. Gain some objectivity, people. Don't think with your emotions.

Gabe Davis & Cook decline to interview after the game
The Helmet of replied to Reed83HOF's topic in The Stadium Wall
Is this bad technique? Isn't technique taught in JV football? Can't he work on this on the jugs machine? Does he not have a position coach to get him to do it right? I feel like he has heavy feet, too. Watching Diggs run a route is like watching water in motion. So fluid. Davis stomps around on heavy heels like a lineman. Cut his ass. -
You can try to meet me at my work, but you won't get past security.

Good riddance to fourth and inches shotgun Dorsey.
-
This is the next question. Who made the call? Was it Pegula or McDermott?

GLORY BE TO GOD IN THE HIGHEST

hahahahahahahh good post man, aged well. Dude you must be heart broken now that your boy Ken Dorsey is gone. Trying to dunk on my ass for saying that Dorsey was a failure? I've been watching football for forty years. I know a loser when I see one. Dorsey is an inarticulate loser. Not a leader of men. He needed to be fired LAST YEAR.
-
The wheels have completely fallen off. My points: Josh is 27. He needs a mentor. Hire someone who can mentor him. McDermott has lost his mojo. Fire his ass. Fire everyone's ass. There are one thousand coaches who would give their left arm for a chance to coach Josh Allen. That was one of the worst losses I've ever seen in my 40 years watching the team. Second only to the Leodis McKelvin fumble. This reminds me of the loss to the Broncos in the home opener in 07. It was 07, right? The last second field goal. That was also gut wrenching. (That was Marshawn Lynch's debut. He was the best player on the field, and they still lost. Bills had Lynch and couldn't leverage him to win. Coaching again...)
-
NO. I'm not drunk. I think Josh is a one-in-a-lifetime talent. But at this point, we have a better chance to win if we take the checkdowns and matriculate the ball down the field. Dorsey's offense is horrendous. Maybe he will call a different game with a different QB. Allen wants to score 14 points with one throw, and Dorsey seems to be encouraging it. Kyle Allen has won games in this league.
-
Let Josh ride the bench in the second half. Let Kyle Allen have a shot.
-
Coaching staff has become cancerous.
-
Hot take: R Wilson > Josh Allen Sean Payton > McDermott Broncos > Bills
-
Why does he need to? They are going to win. Would you rather have him throw it 75 yards and lose?
-
Hot take: this is one of the worst teams in the league. Not sure if they could beat anyone at this point.
