  1. Are we down to our fourth or fifth string safety ? After one preseason game ?
  2. Was it a minor tear until he did a push up on it? Thereby making it major? Is this indeed the story ?
  3. maybe his arms and legs will be ready for 2025
  4. Camp fodder… need bodies…
  5. The feet are as important as other body parts in athletics. Lots going on in the foot. If you can’t push off you’re f*cked. The foot is a veritable technology onto itself. Not sure how the big toe (foot) came to symbolize weakness… perhaps because we all stub our toes and inevitably walk off the temporary pain. But turf toe is a soft tissue problem and therefore a painful and debilitating injury. Aren’t there more nerves in the foot than any other body part? In any case this injury should be preventable …with proper training and precautions. Claypool is a train wreck anyway. Lots of bad mojo…
  6. Weird aside… CL claimed to know / live next to the creator of Catan. Seems like he’s absolutely full it. Am I missing something? Klaus Teuber was the inventor of the game, a German guy who passed away last year. Very cringe… bizarre lie… what else is CL fronting about…
  7. Kyle Allen also made a couple off target throws yesterday. Missed a TD pass and was yanked shortly thereafter.
  8. For me winning and losing means nothing in the preseason. It’s more how it looks. Is it a well oiled machine? Is it firing on all cylinders? Or does it look like a discombobulated mess? For me, I take no stock in preseason game one. If we had won 50-0 it wouldn’t boost my confidence that they are superbowl favorites. My only concern is with how the Teams unit looks. Smiley seems like a weak link in this operation.
  9. I only watched the first half due to the time zone I’m in. I only have two thoughts: Caleb Williams looks like an absolute stud. It’s possible he lights up the league from day one. I’m concerned about our special teams unit as a whole. Is Smiley the right guy for the role? Last year this unit ranked 27th. Does anyone have faith it will get better this year? Why is Bass kicking through the end zone? Doesn’t he want to give the guys a chance to cover kicks? This is a superbowl contending team. There is no excuse for not having: an ace kicker, an ace punter, and an ace coordinator. Please someone talk me down from my doom casting this special teams unit…
  10. Has anyone considered the possibility that BA is being a whiny b****? He’s on a rookie contract but calling all the shots. Only wants to play for a top contender… wants goat money. Have fun with that !
  11. I wanted Dorsey fired after the 2022 season. It had been clear to me he was ruining Josh’s mojo. Plus, he did not strike me as a leader of men. Bad communication skills (inarticulate) in press conferences and subdued during practice. Nothing like Babich or Brady— two high energy guys who seem to communicate very well in all aspects. Hiring Dorsey in the first place was one of McDermott’s biggest mistakes. Totally unsurprising when it was announced he won’t be calling plays for the Browns this year. Qb coach seems to be his ceiling at the NFL level.
  12. Not too sure. This is a guy who does not have great control over his emotions. He likes to boil over.
  13. I'm wondering about this myself based on his press conference. Is it a good idea to bring him back if the price is right? It sounds like he's open to returning. There seems to be two key contingencies to consider (other than the contract) Is he open to the role of player / coach / mentor for the young guys.? Can we afford a roster spot for that type of player?
  14. The talent is still there. If this team were coached by someone like Mike Tomlin or Sean Payton, everyone would be suggesting they're a tough team and will make a SB run. But because we lack the weapons with superstar auras like OBJ or Tyreek, the overall team gets discounted. McDermott needs to find a way to win NOW and lack of talent is no excuse. Let's see if the receivers room can stun the football world.
  15. Any reason not to take Adonai Mitchell? He's 6'4.
  16. If I were Pegula, or Josh Allen, I'd be pounding the table for Aiyuk or Justin Jefferson.
  17. This. I don't like the idea of taking an undersized WR. But I don't want Reid to have him. So you c*ck block Reid. Simple.
  18. This needs to shake out with the Bills landing one of those two. Otherwise, the torches are gonna be out for Beane.
  19. Exciting. Maybe we can get another fourth rounder! and swap 7s.
  20. Beane got b*tch slapped six ways from Sunday. Asleep at the wheel.
  21. I do not hate the trade back in general. But not to the Chiefs. The only thing you should be saying to the Chiefs if they call is "go F* yourself." Don't let Andy Reid do anything he wants to do. WTF!!!
  22. Nolan got fired after leading a weak team to the conference semi finals. They were tremendous overachievers . . . Jason Dawe, Brian Holzinger . . . not elite talent. How can you fire a guy after winning a playoff series? Not to mention, that was the year Hasek got hurt in the postseason (or was he faking?) and he still managed to win a playoff series with Steve Shields in net. Don't understand how anyone can dog him. Hasek wanted him out so they pushed him out. Then he had two seasons with the Isles and made the playoffs in one of them. Isles at the time were infamously dysfunctional As far as his second stint in Buffalo . . . it hardly seems right to hold it against him after the LaFontaine fiasco. Management was dysfunctional. Ted Nolan got shafted hardcore. Never got a fair shake and it's a shame. Not saying they should hire him now. But someone certainly should.
  23. Does this mean it's acceptable to wear an OJ jersey again?
  24. Fair enough. I'm mad at him because he could have been part of the solution, but instead made himself part of the problem. Taking himself out of games? Undermining his QB's confidence? Allowing his brother to bash Allen on Twitter and not sticking up for Allen? Allen is 27 and needs a good support system around him. Diggs was the worst kind of personality. Dorsey and Diggs majorly screwed up the O in 2023 and it's a damn shame. How did KC fare after they got rid of Tyreek Hill? (Immensely talented but also a head case). Diggs is a top 20 receiver who benefited from having a top 3 QB. I don't wish him well.
