Yes. Miami probably should have lost, but Jags couldn’t seal the deal. Jags are also a solid team, but seem to come up short in clutch moments.

The only thing that concerns me is Hill’s speed.

Week 1 - Cardinals at Bills - Post Game Thread
The Helmet of replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall
Absolutely agree. Call a time out. Get your best play ready to go. Convert. Game over. No need to rush to the line to get the play off at that moment with three time outs remaining!! I want Josh to have better situational awareness. It’s his team after all. Use the time out. He should feel deputized to use the timeout whenever he needs it. edit: Bills had only two TOs remaining. ( I think the logic still holds ) -
I’ve tried to stay even-keeled and wait on prognosticating on Coleman and the decision to draft him. But he really impressed with his first game. He’s a total pro on day one and isn’t he only 20 years old!? The late catch was clutch. Hope he competes for rookie MVP.

Packers @ Eagles in Brazil - Sept 6 at 8:15pm

Watched this game twice. Both Hurts and Love were sloppy. Love was sloppy AF on a few occasions. Saquon was the most explosive player on the field. What a weapon. Fully recovered from his injury. Who cares about Giants fans but wow… -
NFL 2024 Kickoff: Ravens @ Chiefs, Sept 5 - 8:20pm

I’ve thought about this. I think it may play into it to some extent. But his elite athleticism also plays into it. Media hypes elite athletes. Lamar may never win a championship but he will ohhh and awww and take over the game with his legs (similar to Josh with “magic moments.”) His Achilles heal is he does seem to make bad throws at key moments. Taron Johnson pick six comes to mind. The penultimate throw from tonight was another key example. Opposite of clutch. He always seems to come up a few plays short. Champions make those plays. Lamar is no Michael Jordan. No Brady. No Mahomes. It will be great when Josh wins his MVP (which I think he will). SB victory means more than all that hype. -

Lamar had some bad throws and misses. But no one in the media will say that. They’ll just say “ they couldn’t connect.” Lamar is an elite athlete but he’s not a Super Bowl caliber QB. Baltimore will have to fight hard to get into the playoffs… -

If I’m a GM and choosing between Lamar and Caleb Williams I’m picking Williams— whose ceiling seems sky high. We’ve already seen Lamar’s ceiling. -

This isn’t Madden. He’s competing against a championship caliber D. That said, I don’t think he’s a top 5 QB. Top 10 certainly. -

Buff 38 AZ 23 -
I compare every punter to Brian Moorman. I’m always disappointed. When Buffalo was irrelevant during the drought years special teams was usually top notch. It was all wasted. Now we’re superbowl contenders and special teams is trending to the bottom of the league in many metrics! Levy also had top tier Teams units. Beane needs to send his scouts around the globe and search HIGH and LOW for some ace kickers. Search other sports— anything involving kicking. Others may scoff but many will be watching to see how the “punt god” does this year.

I hate SNF because I can’t stand listening to that man’s voice and hearing his hyper superlatives every two minutes. If there is a bigger tw*t on the planet I haven’t met him.
-
Cris Collinsworth on SNF is complaining about this rule saying it will endanger the health of the QB. He wants to let the linemen do whatever they want. If having to hear this idiot week after week isn’t bad enough, his doppelgänger nepo son is now working SNF. The worst.

Sometimes it’s all about the genes. Gore is part hummingbird part bumble bee. Probably a long shot but I’m totally ok with FGJ as RB4. They will also keep 1FB right? That’s a proper RB stable in my book. -
He’s not honest with himself in accepting he’d be privileged to back up Josh. QB 1 delusion syndrome. I also think Tannehill has **** the bed more than a few times. What’s the best option among a really poor range of options? .

T. Heinicke looked lost for the Falcons against the JAGS. Hot garbage. There’s a possibility he gets released… I have no idea how many QBs the hapless Falcons will keep. Not sure if he’s an upgrade over what’s on the roster currently. The supply for good QBs is much lower than the demand thereof. DaNucci this is your chance to shine!

Source Kyler Murray will have one target fewer. A shame for Zay Jones. (Still no suspension for Rashee Rice though ) The status of AZ’s 27th DL pick is also in question with a calf injury. Source and they already lost their best pass rusher to an ACL. AZ will not be at full strength for opening week…

Yikes. No need to scream. It’s my first time and I saw the spreads were listed. Thanks for the info.

Saw some of Carolina this preseason. Boy do they look like basement dwellers. Offense is beyond awful… looks like a team that may draft first overall next year… definitely worse than NE and Denver… Just to clarify… both leagues are against the spread right? Thanks!

McDermott: "MVS & Samuel good chance of Week 1 return"
The Helmet of replied to HappyDays's topic in The Stadium Wall
IMO the injuries haven’t been catastrophic this preseason. Most are short term. Even the biceps tear from Milano… if they get him back down the stretch that would be dynamite…. It’s biceps— not something that will linger… like knees or other variety of injuries… The roster is not a MASH unit. Let’s hope it stays that way…
