    With their loss to the Pats tonight the broncos are no longer a threat to us in the playoff race and are all but mathematically eliminated from playoff contention 98% chance according to several different playoff machines

    So what would have to happen in week 18 for us to miss the playoffs with a 10-7 record with a loss at Miami?

    Yes we can clinch before Miami but of the 4 current 8-6 teams ahead of us we need 2 of them to lose next 2 games.

    I do wish there were better scenarios for us winning the next 2 games and at least having a wildcard berth already clinched before Miami. Guess we cooked our own goose tho 😕

    Miami a tough environment to play in? Outside of their sun/heat advantage for visiting sideline it’s not known as an intimidating home field advantage

    Exactly what I’ve been saying. 10-7 with a 7-5 conference record will most likely get us in. With tiebreakers if it’s 3 teams they don’t start with head to head

    Wins over Chargers, Pats, Fins and L vs. cowboys gets us to 70% playoff odds with 10-7 record and 7-5 in the conference. I think finals wildcards end up being Browns, Broncos/Chiefs(with other winning division), and Bills being last wildcard. I don’t think Steelers, colts, Bengals or Texans make it in with their QB situations and all their injuries. Just my 2 cents

    1 seed gets the bye 2 seed plays at home vs the 7 3 seed plays at home vs the 6 4 seed plays at home vs the 5 The top 4 seeds are the division winners

    If we win just our remaining AFC games our conference record will be 7-5 which actually isn’t too bad. Could help us win a 3 or 4 team tiebreaker
